Work in Progress: This unit is still undergoing some work, so you might notice things aren't perfect yet but we hope in the future this can be a great property for small group events.

Shared walls: This unit does have one shared wall, as this property is a duplex. The guest in the other unit is a long-term guest and hardly makes any noise. We do ask that you respect the 10 pm quiet time and turn off any music past that time. Thank you!

Please understand how close this unit is to a nature reserve. We are aware that there are lots of reviews stating pests, mice, etc. The unit is fully sealed on the inside and is well cleaned each time. Issues form when guests are constantly leaving the doors and windows open allowing for pests to get in. If you keep the doors closed the entire stay you will not encounter any of these issues.

We also ask you leave any issues or concerns with us directly via messaging, as negative reviews heavily impact our listing and don't relay information to our property manager so necessary repairs can be conducted.

There are plenty of options for getting around while staying at Nevada Oasis Retreat. The public bus system is available for your convenience. However, if you can afford it, we recommend using Uber or Lyft for more flexibility and ease of travel.

Additionally, this area is great for rental cars, providing you with the freedom to explore the surroundings at your own pace.

Other Things to Note:
We want to be better and aim to be as close to perfect as possible within the next year. But please understand we are not perfect yet and you will notice things are being worked on all around the property.

Please note that due to our proximity to a 200-acre nature reserve, pests may be seen around the property. We have a company that manages this regularly, but encounters are inevitable. To minimize these encounters, we kindly ask you to keep all doors or screens closed as much as possible during your stay.

We are working on the parking situation as of right now we have rear parking in the back until we are able to put in actual parking pads for each unit.

Additionally, please note that the outdoor fireplace is only for decorative purposes. Please DO NOT USE IT.
The outdoor BBQ is good to use.

The apartment is new with a modern design and a clean look. There is a private entrance and large balcony for you to enjoy. There is a full kitchen with all the the amenities, along with a blow up queen mattress for living room if you need to sleep 2 additional guests. We are 1.5 miles to Huntington beach, 2.3 miles to Newport beach, 4.7 miles to John Wayne airport. Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm are less than a 30 min drive. There are many restaurants, bars and stores within minutes of our house with Uber and Lyft available quickly if you do not have a car.

Perfectly positioned on the border of Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach, our location is in an ideal spot.

Adjacent to the Fairview Nature Park, our unit invites you to enjoy the tranquility of nature with all the comforts of home, including a Mini-split AC system for those warmer days or heating for colder. Whether you are traveling for business or coming to enjoy the beach, our space is your ideal home base.

Guest Access:
As our guest, you'll enjoy the privacy and convenience of full private access to the apartment through your own dedicated entrance via the front gate and a sliding glass door. This ensures a secluded and comfortable stay, allowing you to come and go as you please, adding an extra layer of privacy to your visit.

Please be aware that Unit C does not have parking it is street parking only. Street parking is pretty much always available! We do ask that you please don't park in the driveway area of the property as those spots are designated. You can coordinate with us if we have space for you to park in the back. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility regarding the parking situation as you plan your stay at our unique and rustic retreat. The school next door does have a sign that says no airbnb parking, although we have talked to the groundskeeper, and as long as you move your vehicle by 7 am, you will be ok.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is quiet and suburban. Across the street is Fairview Park, a 200-acre nature reserve with great hiking trails! There is a path to the beach, which is 2 miles away, if you put maps to biking it will show you how to take it. Being so close to the park, we do have a company that sprays for bugs and traps mice around the whole property, and most guests don't run into any problems. But being so close to such a big park there is always a potential. With that being said, we are well equipped to handle it ourselves if needed, but typically, our pest control company takes care of everything, and we don't have any issues.

Getting Around:
Canyon Ranch is close to the beach; however, its less than 2 miles to the freeway so it's easy to get anywhere. Shopping, South Coast Plaza [3.8 mi] Fashion Island [4.7 mi] Orange County Airport (SNA) [4.8mi], LAX [39mi] OC Fairgrounds/Event Center [2.5 mi], Disneyland/Anaheim Convention Center[18 mi], Fwys and coastal routes.

This unit is a 4 plex 1.8 miles to the famous Newport Beach and just a 10-15 minute drive to Disneyland. We just completed a major remodel including New Floors, New Paint, New Couch, New Bed, New Kitchen Cabinets, And New Appliances.. The towels and linens are plush, since those are the type of things I like in a vacation home. You have an assigned parking spot, and you are close to everything. Bars, grocery and restaurants are less then .5 radius..
This space is cozy and has everything you need.

I love the neighborhood for the easy access to everything that a California beach community has to offer.. Great Weather, tons of activities and wonderful food from every background..

Getting around

Uber is my favorite way to travel on vacation.. The Uber's average time to pick you up in my area is 3-8 minutes.. There is public transportation, but I recommend having your own vehicle.. Your time is very valuable and the buses are time consuming, and sometimes confusing..

Directly across the street from Fairview Park and nature preserve - complete with hiking trails and incredible sunsets - this property feels a little like being in Mexico - lush trees and plants that have been there for a very long time provide a shady, cool, off the beaten path, unconventional vibe. If you need a place that is manicured and polished, this is not for you. If you appreciate an environment that is more on the funky side, you will love this place! Lisa and Scott were very responsive - they brought me a reading lamp when I asked for one :>) Ten minutes from my parents' house in Mesa Verde yet seems like a different world. - Parking: Kindly park only in designated areas. Please note that management is not responsible for any loss, damage, or penalties incurred while vehicles are on the premises.

- Smoking: Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited inside the house. Any violations will result in a $500 charge.

- Damages: Any damages to the property will be charged to the guest.

- Pets: We happily welcome up to two dogs at our home with prior approval and an added pet fee of $10 per pet per night. If you're bringing a pet, please remember to clean up after them. While we love pets, we recommend taking them with you on outings—there are many dog-friendly activities to explore. If you need to leave them alone, please ensure they are crated for their safety and comfort.

To ensure the comfort of all our guests, we kindly ask that pets refrain from sleeping on the beds or couches, especially considering future guests who may have allergies. There will be an additional pet cleaning fee of $300.

- Security: If we have to dispatch security for any reason to your rental, there will be a $200 charge that will be charged to the guest. If security is dispatched multiple times then this will be grounds to terminate your reservation along with an additional $100 per time security has to be dispatched after the initial $200 fee.

- Cleaning: Our cleaning fee is based on a courteous guest (e.g. someone who cleans up after themselves, puts dishes in the dishwasher, towels in the washer, leaves the place as they found it, etc.). This is NOT a hotel. If the housekeeping crew discovers an unreasonable mess post-checkout, we will charge an additional fee of $300, there will be a $20 fee for unclean dishes.

- Trash: Please place all trash in trash bags, seal them, and dispose them properly.

We live below and can interact with you as much or as little as you like. Your space has a separate bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining area and a kitchen. (no stove, but there is a toaster oven and microwave.)
There is a small privatdeck to enjoy coffee in the morning or a drink at sunset.

The space
Beach chairs, beach towels, sand toys, pack and play, and a high chair are in the unit. There are several kids toys in the bedroom closet as well. Washer and dryer are available at no cost, just ask . The reason we ask you to let us know is that I want to make sure I did not leave any laundry in them for you to deal with. 😉
We have beach cruiser bikes with a bike lock available for use @no charge. ( just ask, so we can put them in your downstairs private patio area.we do it this way to keep the bikes out of the salty air when they are not being used. ) The entire apartment is private and only accessible to you.
During the summer months, there is an air conditioner.

The best place to park is in the driveway.

The property is in a fantastic location in the middle of downtown Costa Mesa. The entrance/exit to the freeway is down the street, the beach is less than 2 miles away, we are 20 minutes from Disneyland, or enjoy a short walk to Triangle Square with a vibrant nightlife, theater, bowling, 24-hour Fitness, or In-n-Out across the street!

The space
For your sleeping arrangements, the studio apartment has a memory foam queen-sized bed, with an additional memory foam topper for cloud-like comfort. The convertible sofa bed in the living space is the perfect fit for one (size is between a twin and a full-size bed). There's also a mattress topper hidden behind the couch for extra comfort when sleeping on the sofa bed. You'll have everything you need for a comfortable night's sleep, including extra linens and pillows in the closet, as well as blackout shades for some sleeping in!

There's a large closet with plenty of storage space, as well as a dresser for your clothes and accessories. We also provide some beach supplies, such as chairs, an umbrella, and even beach towels to enjoy some time in the sun during your stay!

The bathroom features a spa-inspired shower with a built-in skylight for a one-of-a-kind showering experience, a barnyard-style storage area for your supplies, and a state-of-the-art bidet with a seat warmer, warm water, and self-cleaning.

In the living space, you'll find a 50" Smart TV mounted to the wall, which can be pulled out for all your entertainment needs; enjoy the perfect viewing angle from our plush loveseat to snuggle, or enjoy being cozy in bed! You can even pull out the convertible bed from under the sofa, and truly relax with a movie! There's an air conditioner to cool off during the summer, a space heater to warm up during the winter, and an air purifier to make sure you have the freshest air possible. It's the perfect space to relax and unwind after a long day.

The full-sized kitchen features an open-concept design with quartz countertops and plenty of storage for supplies. Use the 2-burner induction stove or the over-the-range microwave to cook your tasty meals quickly. Start your mornings right with a delicious cup of coffee using the Keurig coffee machine, coffee pods included! There's also a small toaster oven, a kettle, a rice cooker, and a blender for all your cooking needs. Also included is a water filter container in the fridge, pre-filled with re-mineralised reverse osmosis water. Whether you're whipping up a quick snack or preparing a gourmet meal, you'll have all the tools and space you need. Sip your morning coffee or enjoy your evening dining experience on our small dining table for 2.

The studio is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before each stay. We use hypoallergenic, fragrance and dye-free detergent so you'll have freshly washed sheets and linen, plush towels, and washcloths, as well as fresh cleaning rags for the kitchen.

The entry gate leads to a backyard, which is shared with the main house (which is owner-occupied) and a detached 1-bedroom apartment. The studio is attached to the back of the main house, but is completely separate. The washer and dryer are shared between the studio apartment and the 1 bedroom apartment. The apartments are ground level, there are no stairs.

If it's available, you can park your car in front of the driveway where it says "No Parking" (please do not park on the sidewalk); otherwise, there is free street parking. There is normally lots of parking during the day, but it can get packed in the evening.

⚠️ As per the Airbnb Terms of Service, under Guest Terms, section 1.2 Booking, by booking a listing, you are making a contract with the host. It is your responsibility as a guest to read and understand the terms of the contract, which include rules, standards, policies, and requirements. This means you have fully read through the listing description of this apartment, understand what amenities are provided, and will abide by our house rules. You also understand that it is your responsibility as a guest to communicate to us any questions or requirements of amenities, provided or missing, so that you can make a fully informed decision. ⚠️ We do our utmost to make sure our guests have a seamless and stress-free check-in. However, on the rare chance you encounter issues during check-in, we will not be able to assist after 11:00 PM. Therefore, we recommend all guests check in prior to 11:00 PM to avoid any possible issues.

⚠️ The unit is extensively cleaned and disinfected after each guest visit.

⚠️ We provide a set amount of toiletries and supplies for the first few days of your stay. We do not provide unlimited items for guests to use, such as coffee pods, toilet paper, paper towels, tampons, etc.

⚠️ We have water leak sensors below the kitchen sink, the bathroom sink, and behind the toilet.

🚭 Absolutely no smoking of any kind is allowed within the apartment or on the property. We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding any use of tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, vaping, etc. If you are caught smoking in the apartment or on the property, your booking will be immediately canceled with no refund, and you will be charged an additional cleaning fee. If you must smoke, please respect other guests and smoke outside of the gate on the sidewalk, away from any entrances or windows.

⚠️ The toilet is a round toilet, not an elongated toilet.

⚠️ We are a block away from a busy street in downtown Costa Mesa, so while most noise is blocked, there can be loud vehicles that pass by occasionally, such as a firetruck or ambulance. We do provide a noise machine next to the bed, and earplugs are available upon request.

⚠️ The air conditioner is an older model, so it might be a bit noisy, but it works great.

If it's available, you can park your car in front of the driveway where it says "No Parking" (please do not park on the sidewalk); otherwise, there is free street parking. There is normally lots of parking during the day, but it can get packed in the evening.
