Shared walls: This unit does have one shared wall, as this property is a duplex. The guest in the other unit is a long-term guest and hardly makes any noise. We do ask that you respect the 10 pm quiet time and turn off any music past that time. Thank you!
Please understand how close this unit is to a nature reserve. We are aware that there are lots of reviews stating pests, mice, etc. The unit is fully sealed on the inside and is well cleaned each time. Issues form when guests are constantly leaving the doors and windows open allowing for pests to get in. If you keep the doors closed the entire stay you will not encounter any of these issues.
We also ask you leave any issues or concerns with us directly via messaging, as negative reviews heavily impact our listing and don't relay information to our property manager so necessary repairs can be conducted.

We want to be better and aim to be as close to perfect as possible within the next year. But please understand we are not perfect yet and you will notice things are being worked on all around the property.
Please note that due to our proximity to a 200-acre nature reserve, pests may be seen around the property. We have a company that manages this regularly, but encounters are inevitable. To minimize these encounters, we kindly ask you to keep all doors or screens closed as much as possible during your stay.
We are working on the parking situation as of right now we have rear parking in the back until we are able to put in actual parking pads for each unit.
Additionally, please note that the outdoor fireplace is only for decorative purposes. Please DO NOT USE IT.

The apartment is new with a modern design and a clean look. There is a private entrance and large balcony for you to enjoy. There is a full kitchen with all the the amenities, along with a blow up queen mattress for living room if you need to sleep 2 additional guests. We are 1.5 miles to Huntington beach, 2.3 miles to Newport beach, 4.7 miles to John Wayne airport. Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm are less than a 30 min drive. There are many restaurants, bars and stores within minutes of our house with Uber and Lyft available quickly if you do not have a car.

Guest Access:
As our guest, you'll enjoy the privacy and convenience of full private access to the apartment through your own dedicated entrance via the front gate and a sliding glass door. This ensures a secluded and comfortable stay, allowing you to come and go as you please, adding an extra layer of privacy to your visit.
Please be aware that Unit C does not have parking it is street parking only. Street parking is pretty much always available! We do ask that you please don't park in the driveway area of the property as those spots are designated. You can coordinate with us if we have space for you to park in the back. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility regarding the parking situation as you plan your stay at our unique and rustic retreat. The school next door does have a sign that says no airbnb parking, although we have talked to the groundskeeper, and as long as you move your vehicle by 7 am, you will be ok.
The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is quiet and suburban. Across the street is Fairview Park, a 200-acre nature reserve with great hiking trails! There is a path to the beach, which is 2 miles away, if you put maps to biking it will show you how to take it. Being so close to the park, we do have a company that sprays for bugs and traps mice around the whole property, and most guests don't run into any problems. But being so close to such a big park there is always a potential. With that being said, we are well equipped to handle it ourselves if needed, but typically, our pest control company takes care of everything, and we don't have any issues.
Getting Around:
Canyon Ranch is close to the beach; however, its less than 2 miles to the freeway so it's easy to get anywhere. Shopping, South Coast Plaza [3.8 mi] Fashion Island [4.7 mi] Orange County Airport (SNA) [4.8mi], LAX [39mi] OC Fairgrounds/Event Center [2.5 mi], Disneyland/Anaheim Convention Center[18 mi], Fwys and coastal routes.

This unit is a 4 plex 1.8 miles to the famous Newport Beach and just a 10-15 minute drive to Disneyland. We just completed a major remodel including New Floors, New Paint, New Couch, New Bed, New Kitchen Cabinets, And New Appliances.. The towels and linens are plush, since those are the type of things I like in a vacation home. You have an assigned parking spot, and you are close to everything. Bars, grocery and restaurants are less then .5 radius..

Getting around
Uber is my favorite way to travel on vacation.. The Uber's average time to pick you up in my area is 3-8 minutes.. There is public transportation, but I recommend having your own vehicle.. Your time is very valuable and the buses are time consuming, and sometimes confusing..

- "We love this property! I grew up in Costa Mesa yet never had been to this particular part of town and let me tell you: it is not the typical CM experience. Directly across the street from Fairview Park and nature preserve - complete with hiking trails and incredible sunsets - this property feels a little like being in Mexico - lush trees and plants that have been there for a very long time provide a shady, cool, off the beaten path, unconventional vibe. If you need a place that is manicured and polished, this is not for you. If you appreciate an environment that is more on the funky side, you will love this place! Lisa and Scott were very responsive - they brought me a reading lamp when I asked for one :>) Ten minutes from my parents' house in Mesa Verde yet seems like a different world. We will definitely be back next time we are in town! "

Next-door to Fairview Nature Park a beautiful 200 acre nature reserve, Talbert Nature Preserve & the Santa Ana River Trail. Being so close to the park we do have a company that sprays for bugs and traps mice around the whole property and most guests don't run into any problems but being so close to such a big park their is always a potential.

- "This place was perfect for our stay. The beds and bedding were nice and comfortable. There was a nice working air conditioner in both the living area and the bedroom. There was a brand new big tv in the living room that was easy to add our apps to and great for watching movies. The host was very kind and attentive. There was a Nature Path that you can see from the front yard. The home is tucked away at the end of a street. Thanks for a great stay! We will be back!"

I was able to cook for my family, sleep comfortably, and shower with great hot water. The host was quick at responding to what I needed. Distance from Disneyland was about 35mins which was great for me. Yes I would stay here again and the price was awesome. This is a peaceful and centrally located place in Orange County. It is on the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Close to Newport Beach, Disneyland and Huntington Beach (very close to South Coast Plaza). This is a brand new completely remodeled 490 square foot in law apartment with a private entrance, washer and dryer access and plenty of parking.
