Getting Around:
There are plenty of options for getting around while staying at Nevada Oasis Retreat. The public bus system is available for your convenience. However, if you can afford it, we recommend using Uber or Lyft for more flexibility and ease of travel.

Additionally, this area is great for rental cars, providing you with the freedom to explore the surroundings at your own pace.

Other Things to Note:
We want to be better and aim to be as close to perfect as possible within the next year. But please understand we are not perfect yet and you will notice things are being worked on all around the property.

Please note that due to our proximity to a 200-acre nature reserve, pests may be seen around the property. We have a company that manages this regularly, but encounters are inevitable. To minimize these encounters, we kindly ask you to keep all doors or screens closed as much as possible during your stay.

We are working on the parking situation as of right now we have rear parking in the back until we are able to put in actual parking pads for each unit.

Additionally, please note that the outdoor fireplace is only for decorative purposes. Please DO NOT USE IT.

Perfectly positioned on the border of Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach, our location is in an ideal spot.

Adjacent to the Fairview Nature Park, our unit invites you to enjoy the tranquility of nature with all the comforts of home, including a Mini-split AC system for those warmer days or heating for colder. Whether you are traveling for business or coming to enjoy the beach, our space is your ideal home base.

Guest Access:
As our guest, you'll enjoy the privacy and convenience of full private access to the apartment through your own dedicated entrance via the front gate and a sliding glass door. This ensures a secluded and comfortable stay, allowing you to come and go as you please, adding an extra layer of privacy to your visit.

Please be aware that Unit C does not have parking it is street parking only. Street parking is pretty much always available! We do ask that you please don't park in the driveway area of the property as those spots are designated. You can coordinate with us if we have space for you to park in the back. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility regarding the parking situation as you plan your stay at our unique and rustic retreat. The school next door does have a sign that says no airbnb parking, although we have talked to the groundskeeper, and as long as you move your vehicle by 7 am, you will be ok.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is quiet and suburban. Across the street is Fairview Park, a 200-acre nature reserve with great hiking trails! There is a path to the beach, which is 2 miles away, if you put maps to biking it will show you how to take it. Being so close to the park, we do have a company that sprays for bugs and traps mice around the whole property, and most guests don't run into any problems. But being so close to such a big park there is always a potential. With that being said, we are well equipped to handle it ourselves if needed, but typically, our pest control company takes care of everything, and we don't have any issues.

Getting Around:
Canyon Ranch is close to the beach; however, its less than 2 miles to the freeway so it's easy to get anywhere. Shopping, South Coast Plaza [3.8 mi] Fashion Island [4.7 mi] Orange County Airport (SNA) [4.8mi], LAX [39mi] OC Fairgrounds/Event Center [2.5 mi], Disneyland/Anaheim Convention Center[18 mi], Fwys and coastal routes.

Other Things to Note:
This unit is part of a Ranch style house with all completely separate units.

Getting around

Uber is my favorite way to travel on vacation.. The Uber's average time to pick you up in my area is 3-8 minutes.. There is public transportation, but I recommend having your own vehicle.. Your time is very valuable and the buses are time consuming, and sometimes confusing..

We are more resource efficient and environmentally friendly than most. We planted Orange County native plants early this century which we have not watered them in nearly 20 years. We each currently drive all electric vehicles. A new solar PV system, to replace our recalled 2003 BP solar pv system, with energy storage batteries was installed late 2022. Feel free to charge your plug in vehicle here with either of our two level 2 chargers or any of our level 1(trickle) chargers.
One or more of our BEVs are available for rent to you during your stay. Contact Erik for details. We have recycled and composted for many years and our city has for many years as well.

There is wifi and internet. I would like a quiet female guest who is very responsible and not a partier. Very close to the Back Bay which is great for hiking, biking, running. Very close to the OC Fairgrounds, and a few short miles to the beach.

☺ The temperature is set at 68F for heat and 73F for AC. We are happy to provide extra blankets/portable fans if needed. Our HVAC system is newly installed and will make your stay comfortable
☺ Parking is super easy: there are 3 first-come-first-serve spots on the driveway and plenty on the street. Please do not park more than 3 cars on the driveway at any time.

• This is a PRIVATE ROOM in a shared, beautiful spacious Californian 5 bedroom house. This is our own Master bedroom plus office and we rent it out when we travel so you may not meet us during your stay. :). You will also see our personal and professional belongings in the room but the room will be cleaned and made to your comfort.

This room is perfect for cheerful guests on a budget who are traveling by themselves, with friends or family, and are considerate of others! The guests will appreciate a home environment with the hosts and other guests.

You will be sharing with my family of 4 (husband, wife, 13 and 11 years old boys who at times can be messy:-).

Here’s what you will be getting:

• Self-check-in keypad lock for front door and instructions to the room and house amenities if the hosts are not on-site at the time of check-in.

• Spacious and bright bedroom with clean & heat sanitized top-quality cotton sheets, towels, and bedding. Extra bedding and pillows are available upon request.

• Queen sized bed with top quality medium-firm orthopedic spring mattress with mattress protector, and upon request, we can provide 1 twin roll-away bed or floor mattress

• The bedroom is connected to a semi-private en-suite bathroom with a double vanity sink. The bathroom turned into a full ensuite when the door to the hallway is locked and this door is to be unlocked for other guests' access after use. You also have access to the other bathroom down the other hallway from the kitchen.

• Our bathrooms have all the necessities; shower, sink, and toilet. We provide fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
• Full closet to hang your clothes + more hangers available upon request

• Self-serve coffee and tea available in the kitchen. Cups, coffee, and tea supplies are available in the cupboard directly above the coffee machine.

• Use of kitchen amenities to prepare food as long as the guests clean up after themselves.

• Storage in fridge, freezer, and kitchen cupboard in the kitchen.

• Parking spot available on the street in front of the house. No parking permit is required and no parking time restrictions apply. Please don't park in our driveway as we need this access for our vehicles and guests' RV parking booking.

• Laundry services are available for $5 per wash load and $5 for dryer load. You can choose to hang your clothes outside in the sun for FREE :-)
We can wash + dry your clothes for you for $20 per load.

• The house is deep cleaned by a professional cleaner twice a month.

• Air conditioning & heating are controlled by your hosts. A/C and heating are typically turned off unless the hosts feel it's necessary to turn it on. The weather is mild all year round since we live near the ocean and our house is well insulated. Quiet Cool System will be turned in the afternoon on hot days to bring cool air from outside. The bedroom has a powerful and quiet ceiling fan system that can regulate the room temperature quickly.

• Due to allergy, no pet is allowed inside the property. Pet is allowed for campsite and RV parking listings, please inquire within.

Our room is simple yet cozy, comfortable, and cost-effective. We have so many repeat guests that keep coming and extending with us.

• ALSO PLEASE NOTE: *** The maximum number of guests allowed is 3 people, and it must be the ones you've mentioned who will be coming to stay at my home.

NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS without prior permission. Any unregistered guests seen on the property will be charged a minimum fee of $50 per person per night, and possibly result in eviction. This is for your safety as well as for our other guests.

No parties, drugs, illegal activity, loud music, events, or outside guests are allowed.

For your safety, we have video surveillance outside at the front door, driveway, garage, front garden, side of the house, back yard, living areas, and kitchen to ensure you and our family are safe during your stay.

Those who do not follow the house rules will be reported to Airbnb for an extra charge out of your deposit or eviction with no refund.

Guest access
Guests must acknowledge they are booking a private room with shared bathrooms, and they understand the listing does not include the entire home. Guests also must acknowledge that they will/ may be sharing the house communal areas with our family and other guests.
Apart from a private room, guests have access to the communal areas in the house like our family and other guests.

Guests' estimated time of arrival (ETA) is to be provided to the host before arriving, especially after 11 pm for further arrangement.
Late cancellation may result in forfeiting your prepaid fee.

We offer early check-ins for a $25 extra fee and late check out for $25 upon availability. Please read house rules for details.

For your safety & others' please read: We require all of our guests to have completed their verifications including uploading their government ID. You may not book on behalf of another person. Please call Airbnb if you don’t know how to do so. You must have ID, email, selfie & phone number verified.
