Sauna in the house with use after advance notification and small fee. You are welcome to bring your bikes with you for endless cycling tours in the beautiful Rheinaue, which is on our doorstep. Or visit Duisburg with its newly designed inner harbor including marina and a well-kept restaurant. The Landscape Park North is also right on our doorstep (former steel works, now a cultural mile with many events, climbing park, diving in a diving gasometer with artificial reef and wreck of a motor yacht and the fuselage of an airplane. The bed and the mattress are in the style of Japanese futon from the house of the Danish designer Karup. The bed is somewat hard. You feel the structure underneath. It is a FUTON.

Please be aware that, as you see in the photos, the room does not have any wardrobe to hang your clothes. Please set your expectations accordingly.

Locking the door 🗝️
They key is available, and door can be locked. However, it is sincerely advised not to lock the door for safety reasons. Unlike hotels, where hotel management has extra key to enter the room in case of emergency, we do not have any other possibility to enter the room.
During your stay, we will not enter the room without your permission whether you are in the room or not, except for critical emergencies.

My place is warm and cosy. You may use the kitchen at your convenience. Your sleeping room is private however kitchen, bathroom, toilets will be shared with the tenant(s).
Feel free to take anything from the fridge or use the available groceries and spices to cook yourself meal or for breakfast.

During your stay
💞 During your stay, it is your choice if you wish to socialize or not. If I cook, I do not mind sharing meal with the guests. If you inform me about your food preference in advance, such as vegan or any intolerance, I will take extra care. I find exchanging stories and ideas nice too. However, if you wish to go your own way entirely, that is no problem at all.

SMOKING INSIDE = 250 EUROS FINE
Smoking of any sort inside is strictly prohibited!! Violation of which will be strictly dealt with and a fine of 250 Euros will be charged. If you need to smoke, please go to the balcony and keep the door closed. Please wash your hands after smoking otherwise there is a risk of contaminating the items in the room specially the plants.
