Also, lifting the blinds meant looking at a lot of mess on the back verandah. A word of warning about the external drawbacks and a quick sweep of the upstairs would have improved the experience."

The space

Outside of the apartment you have some of the best beaches on the Central Coast right on your doorstep. From here you can explore local places of interest or easily go further afield to other spots of interest around 'the Coast'

You will find during your stay that everything is so close. Wander down to Umina for breakfast at one of the many cafes and eateries. Umina Beach is serviced by all the major supermarkets including Coles, Woolworths and Aldi. Friday night live music at the Umina Surf Life Saving club is also highly recommended.

There really are options aplenty! For lunch you could take a small 15 minute drive to Patonga, a quant fishing village with its iconic boathouse restaurant. The evening meal could be catered for at Ettalong Beach Village where there is a range of fine dining restaurants such as the Box on the Water, with stunning views.

During the weekend, Ettalong is host to a bustling market with its many stores and food options. If you need some time out of the sun there is also a great movie complex with all the latest movies.

Within walking distance there is a bowling club, memorial club, two fine hotels, and two surf clubs. If you like golf, the Everglades Country Club is less than 10 minutes drive or drive up to Mangrove Mountain to a couple of excellent courses.

You might also wander down to the wharf and catch the ferry for a wonderful day trip over to Palm Beach, which is less than 30 minutes away.
To sum up, everything is at your fingertips – you can live as fast or as slow as you like – whether you want a day or swimming, fishing, surfing, kayaking, boating (a boat hire place is literally around the corner for exploring Brisbane Waters) or visit all that the central coast has to offer. You won’t want to go home!

We recommend Margarita Daze on Umina Beach as a great place for lunch, dinner and sunset cocktails.

The Box on Ettalong Beach is a nice spot for coffee & brunch.

Ocean Beach & Umina Beach surf clubs are also a good option for meals.

Woolworths & Coles are both close by on Umina Beach main street, where there is also a range of restaurants & take-away options.

Next door to the caravan park at Umina Beach there is a great playground & skate park for the kids.
