Our only gripes were the difficult car access to the tiny garage, and the lack of air con given that the windows were locked a maximum 10cm open which left the bedrooms stuffy. The Dyson fans didn’t quite cut it during the heat of summer. All up a great unit in a great location."

- "Fabulous!!" - "What an amazing house to stay in! Firstly the location is unreal. One lane way away from the beach and a short walk to local cafes. Secondly I can not recommend the house enough. We stayed here with my 60 year old parents and also my 4 children (8,6,4,1). It has everything you need for a night away or a week away. From all the beach accessories to in house games like Xbox, table tennis and many board games. Although the house is a bit older, everything is so clean, neat and tidy. The owners have really included everything in their home. Even bird feed for the local lorikeets which my 1 year old loved looking at. Can’t wait to re book."

- "This unit is absolute beach front. An older style solid block with 2 bedrooms and full bathroom. Kitchen has an electric cooktop and oven plus microwave. Television reception is terrible so bring your own streaming accounts to use on the smart TV. Comfortable beds. It is comfortable and met our needs nicely but not modern and had been closed up before our stay as it was musty and dank. We would definitely stay again though!"

- "Our group considered of 2 couples, 2 adults and a 3 month old. This apartment is so well laid out - we put a couple with baby one end and everyone else the other so we all had space and no one was disturbed. The other great thing is it’s all on one level once you are in. Huge garage was super convenient too and the beach was just a few hundred metres from the door. The only downside like most places in Avoca the drive is very steep and you need to be fit to walk up it so if anyone in the group is not fit or mobile be prepared to take your car up and down the drive. All in all we had a great week away. "

Originally designed as an art studio, and later repurposed as a bnb, this unique sanctuary is set amongst rainforest gardens, with a gentle water feature, mosaic amphitheatre, fire pit and patio area. The stained glass windows speak of times gone by - reflecting the golden afternoon light that comes streaming through the coloured glass. Please be aware that this property is on a slope and there are steps, so it is not suitable for elderly.

Our 1 bedroom guest suite comprises of the bottom level of our two storey house. It is perfect for couples or singles. It sleeps 2 however we do have a port-a-cot. It has its own private entry so you can have as much or as little interaction with us as you like. Please note there are six steps down from street level.

The space
The small kitchenette is equipped with a breakfast bench, stools plus a microwave, toaster, kettle, bar fridge, tea/coffee making facilities. Cereal and toast will be provided. There is no stovetop or oven. It is a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk to Avoca Beach and its great restaurants and cafés.

The bedroom has a comfy new queen bed with a Smart TV and free WIFI. There is also a room for relaxing with a lounge and plenty of books and games for your use. The small bathroom has a shower and toilet. All linen and towels are provided.

Just outside your door is a garden with beautiful views of the bush. In warmer months there is a sparkling pool for your use. Our garden is also a wildlife sanctuary where during the day you could see a selection of different birds such as Kookaburras, Lorikeets, King Parrots, Rosellas, Yellow Crested Cockatoos, Bell Birds to name a few. Recently we have been sighting Wallabies.
