It's the southern trailhead of the 48-mile Gandy Dancer State Trail, a scenic crushed-limestone bicycle trail named for the rail workers who rhythmically swung pickaxes and hammers made by the Gandy Tool Co.

And it's the headquarters of the 252-mile St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, with a new visitors center that helps paddlers plan trips from the Namekagon to the St. Croix's confluence with the Mississippi.

A small unique urban “loft bedroom” that is close to Wild Mountain; Trollhaugen; Festival Theater; the Ice Age Trailhead; Interstate Park in WI and MN; the Gandy Dancer Trail; the Woolly Mountain Bike Trail; Cyclova Bike Shop; the St Croix River; Osceola; cafe, bars, and small grocery store within walking distance.. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings, the uniqueness, the location, & the private cafe table outside.

The space:
This is a small studio bedroom w kitchenette, a private bathroom with toilet, vanity, and stand-up shower. The thermostat controls for the heat are in the bathroom. AC unit for the main room. There is a small kitchenette, dresser, hangers, TV, Wi-Fi, and access to a stone patio. Right off of main street in downtown St Croix Falls.

Guest access:
You will be given an electronic keycode and instructions to use this lock system the morning of check-in. You will use this keycode to lock and unlock the main door to the apartment. You may check-in without meeting us (which is why we are flexible on check-in time) but if you need anything, we are close by and can help you with anything.

Other things to note:
There are three apartments we rent out at 123 s Washington so if you are traveling with others and want to stay together, please also check out the listings for The Artist's Loft and The Peacock Loft. There are three patios that anyone can sit on and enjoy. Although we are off of Main Street, road noise is usually limited in the Copper Room but feel free to bring a fan or earplugs if very sensitive to noise - we want you to have a great sleep! This is a unique room and has exposed copper pipes (which is why it is decorated in a copper theme!) - please note that there may be small water-trickling sounds coming up the pipes (the room has 12 foot ceilings though so they are high-up) above. Do not be alarmed - this is normal. We just want you to be aware before booking so this doesn't upset you. Also, this apartment only has a small partial kitchen: Fridge, hot plate, air fryer microwave, sink, and cupboards. Plenty of room to store fresh/dry food for a weekened/week though.

Parking on the street is plentiful. Room is located down one flight of stairs.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Charming one bedroom lower level apartment. Feel secluded but be only minutes to town! The lower level apartment has everything you’ll need to enjoy a comfortable stay. You can park up to two cars by the shed and follow the beautifully landscaped path to the apartment. There are easy stairs on the exterior you will need to take to get to the entrance but once inside it is single level living. We do live upstairs so you may hear us moving around from time to time but we are also available should you need anything throughout your stay. The apartment is a completely separate space with no shared space whatsoever.

THE SPACE—
You’ll enter the apartment through a private entrance front door or through the private 1 car garage. There will be a flight of stairs immediately when you enter leading you to the main living space.

At the top of the stairs, to the right is the master bedroom with a large walk-in closet/laundry room, and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. This bedroom includes a queen sized mattress.

At the top of the stairs, to the left, you’ll enter the living room with a private, ivy fenced balcony with a hammock and faux grass. Through the living room, you’ll then enter the modern kitchen with a large granite top island, accompanied by 2 bar height stools.

Through the kitchen to the right, you’ll enter an at home work out area with miscellaneous work out equipment like a maxi climber, resistance bands, free weights, etc. Off of that room will be the additional 2nd bedroom and main/2nd bathroom.

The spacious second room includes a king sized mattress. The second/main bath room has a bathtub.

Both rooms we have stayed in were decorated very differently and both rooms are so cool in how creatively they are decorated. Everything was completely remodeled, very clean. The second time we stayed here there didn't seem to be any hot water. I messaged the host who responded immediately and shared that due to the size of the property you need to let the water run a little bit longer than expected to get hot water to a room that is far away from the water heater. Bean Loft is located in a charming 1870's building on Main Street in downtown Prescott. Steps from restaurants, pubs, antique stores and a boat marina. There is plenty of sleeping room for groups, an office, large living room and full kitchen outfitted with everything to prepare and serve a meal.

The space
Bean loft is located in one of the oldest buildings in Prescott. Originally built in 1871 as a saloon and hotel, the building has had many tenants over the years; a bar, photography studio and jewelry store. Rumor has it that it also housed a brothel at the turn of the century! We completed a total renovation of the second floor loft in 2019. You’ll have exclusive use of all 1,200 square feet.

The bathroom has a large shower, a nice hairdryer and is stocked with individual sized shampoo, conditioner and soap.

Candid drawbacks to the space are steeps stairs (loft is on 2nd floor). From a sound standpoint, trains running adjacent to downtown Prescott can be heard and a small pub courtyard next door where they play live folk and acoustical music during summer. Typically the music winds down by 10pm. These are all typical sounds in a city setting. The bedrooms are located in the rear of the property away from the street and train path.

From November through April, overnight street parking on Washington Street is not permitted due to seasonal regulations.
Please use our gravel parking area behind the building, which we own and maintain. Daytime and evening street parking is still allowed.

Please lock both the apartment door and the exterior building door every time you leave.

Kindly leave all items in the loft — we love sharing this space and want to keep it complete for all future guests.

At Terry's Place, it's all about location! The library and two lively bars are across the street. Pop over to Kennedy's Cafe for some breakfast. Sam’s Christmas Village, Ampitheater, La Pointe Event Center, Oliphant Brewing, hockey rink, grocery store and Apple River are within minutes.

This property is cozy! What it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm. Enjoy the updated kitchen and bathroom while taking in much of the original 1940's vibe at Terry's Place!

The space
Enter through the front door, hang up your coat, kick off your shoes, and relax! A cozy living room awaits. After preparing your food in the bright and sunny kitchen, enjoy your meal at the large dining room table. Get some rest in one of three sleeping spaces. Then prepare for your day in the bathroom or in front of the hallway vanity.

You will have the entire first-floor unit to yourself. I live upstairs, so you may occasionally hear us walking around. However, any noise will be minimal.

This space is a new construction basement apartment with it's own private entrance. Parking is available for 1-2 cars in the driveway. A rock/slab walkway leads to the private entrance.

Please note that there are large dogs on the property. They are very friendly and will not be in the rental space. If there is a chance meeting in the driveway just know they will try and go home with you 😆. There are two bed rooms both featuring lots of natural light. There is one king size bed located on the northwest part of the unit and a queen size located on the south east side. For larger groups, there is also a sofa that can convert into a queen size bed.

The patio is perfectly located for watching the sunrise in the mornings while enjoying a cup of coffee.

The updated kitchen has a stove with range, dishwasher and fridge with ice-maker and filtered water dispenser. We have ample coffee mugs and k-cups to allow you to choose which coffee variety best suites you.
