- "We enjoyed this place very much while on a short trip to London. The rental is the top, 3rd floor of the host's home and it is modern, lovely, clean and comfortable. We loved the sky views and all the windows overlooking the neighborhood, the large bathroom/shower, and everything we needed to cook small meals. I particularly loved the nearby church bells ringing to tell us the time of day. The owners, Olga and Julian, were helpful and accessible when needed, and were otherwise respectfully in the background. This is a perfect place for those looking for a neighborhood vibe and wanting a quiet place outside of London. The train is 5 minutes walk and took about a half hour to travel into the city, long enough to daydream a little or plan your adventures. We also traveled by car and recommend coordinating the parking situation with the owners beforehand as it is a little challenging in the busy neighborhood. Dating back over 700 years, this unique apartment occupies the oldest residential building in Kingston, boasting endless character set within a superb, historical location. This unique place is close to everything. The metropolitan apartment is a 2minute walk from Kingston Station and the Rotunda arcade and cinema complex. The Royal Town boasts a plentiful mix of bars, restuarants and clubs which are vibrant most of the days and nights.
Riverside walks are just a stones throw away or a shopping spree through the main streets of the town and Bentalls shopping centre.
Beautiful Bedroom to tuck away into, with plenty of suitcase storage and Hangers to stretch out your clothes.
The bathroom has the essential toothbrush/shaver socket for convenience. A great shower for anytime and bath tub to just relax.
The living room opens up to the town outside through the floor-ceiling-windows. Don't look down when your at the edge!

PRIVATE STUDIO ROOM
This peaceful and idyllic location is not only a stone's throw away from Richmond Park, it also offers an abundance of greenery left right and centre!
A friendly and residential area with plenty of free parking if needed.
The studio is not located in central London but within the suburbs with good transport links.
Although you will have complete privacy on the first floor, the whole house is shared; two other studio rooms and on the ground floor, is where I live.
Finding the house is easy using the postcode with maps on your phone.
Having a car around here is recommended as we have free parking and the train station is more than a 10/15 min walk away.
However, the bus stop is very close by (2 min walk) and buses are very regular, as usual in London Suburbs (approx every 7-10 mins).
Transport from Richmond station:
371 Bus route (via Kingston), get off at 'Latchmere Road' bus stop. This is a 2-minute walk from the house.
Uber from Richmond Station:
10-15 mins (20-25 mins in rush hour) and this can cost a minimum, £8-10.

Latchmere is the neighbour of the award-winning Village of Petersham, both of which are located between Richmond and Kingston Train stations. Latchmere is slightly closer to Kingston however, this cul-de-sac and surrounding roads fall into Richmond-Upon Thames Borough Council, making it a well-looked after and clean neighbourhood.
Unlike most areas in London, it is peaceful and quiet in its surroundings and the community has a clear abundance of respect for the neighbourhood.
Apart from the beautiful Richmond Park, it is filled with greenery such as Petersham Medows, Ham Common and Latchmere Green. You would never think this picturesque village could be positioned so well for access into Central London if needed.

Plenty of parking around the side of the house, there is a little residents car park there. Once/if you have parked, the entrance to the house is back around the front.
You will share a small communal hallway with possible guests staying in the two other studio rooms. This can be between one and four guests.

The space
Situated on the first floor, this spacious property is light and airy with high ceilings.
Light floods in through two lofty windows in the large living area and there is plenty of room to relax on the comfy sofas where you can kick back and enjoy the Amazon Fire TV.
The dining area comfortably seats four and is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed evening meal.
The separate kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need for your stay including a Nespresso machine with pods, milk frother, and plenty of tea and biscuits so that you can make yourself feel at home.

I have lived here for 2 years but I have been a super host at another address since 2018. Nice newly decorated double room Green spaces , Bushy Park- Hampton Court Palace close by. Bus ride to Twickenham Stadium. Excellent shopping facilities in Kingston is a 15 minute walk. I live alone at the property. I am not here too much . I am very quiet. My interests are outdoors, walking rowing and kayaking. I can be contacted if needed. 2 guests only if approved by me . AT Extra Charge.

I will be around occasionally to help with anything that you may require. Breakfast will be available to help yourself (cereal, orange juice, Nespresso espresso, tea etc). Kitchen has a dish washer, fridge and clothes washer/dryer you may use. Have some comfort in the centre of Kingston Upon Thames!

You have your own private room, your own private bathroom and you may use the lounge, kitchen, and whatever else you need. Breakfast will be provided on a help yourself basis (cereal, juice, Nespress coffee, tea etc). I have fast internet, 42inch TV in your bedroom with sky, netflix and iplayer.
During your stay
I am out a lot, so you have your own space, but I will be around occasionally to give you any tips on local transport, where to go, how to get into London and what to do around this lovely area whether you are working, or spending time away from home.
Other things to note
If you make a booking request, it comes straight to my phone and I'm around to confirm within moments - any time of day or night. So you will know straight away if your reservation request is confirmed. This is why I don't use instant book. Also I am on hand to answer questions and help you any time.
