We are located 10 minutes off the Trans Canada Highway, making it a perfect spot to take a rest on the way to Cape Breton or the Newfoundland Ferry.

Lobster season here is May and June. The wharf is just down the road.

This centuries old church has been renovated into a duplex. It has a private entrance, two tv’s private parking and a bathtub. The loft, is spacious with a sky light and reading area. We are steps from downtown, with a variety of dining options and shops. We have walking paths with several sites to explore. Take in the historic Town of Pictou, also known as ‘The Birthplace of New Scotland’. This is where the first wave of Scottish settlers arrived on the Ship Hector in 1773. Did you know that the name Pictou derives from the Mi’kmaq name Piktuk, meaning explosive place? Perhaps a reference to possible methane bubbling up from coal seams below Pictou Harbour.

Enjoy a walk through town to learn more about the rich history. Did you know that John William Dawson, geologist, paleontologist, principal of McGill University was born in Pictou in 1820? Dawson was well known for finding the earliest known reptile fossils.

Make your way along the waterfront, visit the Heritage Hector Quay, the Northumberland Fisheries Museum and a stop for a mid afternoon break at another one of our restaurant partners, The Harbour House Ales & Spirits for a traditional East Coast menu.

With a longer stay and timing the visit, spend a Saturday morning at the New Glasgow Farmers' Market, a member of the non-profit cooperative Nova Scotia Farmers’ Market organization. Here you will find local entertainment, artisans and producers.

If you are a museum buff, the Museum of Industry in the adjacent Town of Stellarton is a great next stop or stay and relax in the Town of New Glasgow on the patio of East Side Avenue Dining, offering a big city vibe with the charm of a small town. The view of The Viola Desmond Art Display that now adorns the Bespoke Motor Company building, once known as Roseland Theatre. At this location Viola Desmond faced discrimination for the seat that she rightfully had taken in 1946. Her bravery led to a rallied movement for equality against racial segregation in Nova Scotia.

- "The apartment is even more spacious and beautiful than the pictures can show. There is plenty of natural light and through the windows is a quiet, peaceful, well manicured lawn. We saw deer every night and every morning, which was exciting. The apartment was in the perfect location for enjoying PEI for a day (taking the nearby ferry), going to Hopewell Rocks for a day, and exploring some of nearby Nova Scotia. The beach at Caribou Provincial Park was beautiful and not crowded. The host is very kind and welcoming. She gave us useful tips on sights to see and was very quick at responding to questions. This north shore oasis is 1km from Caribou Provincial park beach. It is also within 6 km of the ferry to PEI and just on the outskirts of the charming town of Pictou.

The space
"The Roost" offers a rustic, cottage-like setting with plenty of storage space, a full kitchen, separate living room and a private entrance. The apartment is located on the upper level of our garage. Is this the Marriott? Not a chance.

That said, we think it's pretty charming and will offer you a unique perspective of laid-back, rural Nova Scotia living. The apartment offers plenty of privacy and is perfect for independent travelers. Please note: Next to the garage is our home, where we live with our two children. The apartment is accessed via a flight of external stairs. Please book at your own discretion and awareness of any physical limitations you may have.

Welcome to downtown Truro!

Spacious and full of natural light, this is a perfect place to unwind.

The living room has a TV with Netflix and two couches. There is a hidden nook with a Super Nintendo off of the living room as well as vintage arcade machines in the rear rec room. A large third-floor deck is located off the back of the apartment.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials such as an oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, microwave. blender, dishes, utensils and cookware. Help yourself! Everything in the apartment was left here for you.

Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, a third bedroom with a king bed, and a small bedroom with a twin bed.

The master bedroom has a laundry room and ensuite bathroom attached. This bathroom is equipped with a jetted jacuzzi tub and double sinks.

The smaller bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo. There is only 1 shower in the apartment, but there are 2 bathtubs.

This is a third-floor walk-up with no elevator access and 1 driveway parking spot.

You will have access to a full 4-bedroom apartment in a private 4-unit building. There is 1 outdoor parking spot reserved for you in the front driveway.

Tv in one of bedrooms is available and in the living room too.

There is washer , dryer and dishwasher in the same unit. The kitchen cupboard contains emergency instant foods that can help ease your hunger quick. I have a welcome bottled water and sometimes some chocolate goodies. Above you are long term renters who are aware of your presence but because this building is quite aged, footsteps or some tiny conversations , can be readily faintly heard but , not all the time. Please be aware that the beds are made of light IKEA wood frames as well as the linen closet assembly too, so jumping on bed can cause it to be broken . Remote control for tv in bedroom should be returned to the envelope once you leave.

This large 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, located above HealthWalks famous shoe store (largest selection of Birkenstocks in NS), features charming original wide wood plank floors & plenty of character. It’s clean, cozy & centrally located—steps from downtown, restaurants, hospital, movie theatre & grocery stores! Just 2 minutes from the Trans-Canada Highway, it’s perfect for exploring. Walk everywhere & relax in this convenient, spacious space!

The space
Guests tell us the apartment is far more spacious than the pictures show. They love having 2 bathrooms, one with a tub off the kitchen and one with a shower as an ensuite to the master bedroom. A washer and dryer are in the apartment.

Guests have a self check in off the large private deck with full access to the entire apartment.

This is a no pet, no smoking space.

This 620 square foot (58 qm) modern and tastefully designed appartment includes all amenities a traveller would expect in an upscale place: one bedroom with cozy queen-bed, quality linen and darkening blinds; a modern furnished living room with a fully equipped open kitchen; a small working space and a spacious bathroom with a large shower as well as a washer/dryer combination.
The building is in an ideal location for getting around town.

The space
Your apartment is located on the main floor in the back of the newly established building on Main Street, Antigonish.
All walls and flooring are insulated for maximum privacy and noise control. A heat pump provides a clean and comfortable living environment with energy efficient heating and air conditioning.
High speed internet as well as Roku-Tv is provided.

Overnight parking is no longer allowed in any public car park. However, so that you can leave your car overnight, I organised a free parking space for you. It's just down the road, so it's not too far from the flat.
