Antigonish Harbour is a protected estuary where you can kayak, sail, or canoe in protected waters--you can access all this from your door. Prepare for spectacular sunsets as you barbeque on your private patio and watch the herons feed at the water's edge.

We are 15 minutes from the town of Antigonish, where you will find St. Francis Xavier University, well-stocked stores, and an assortment of restaurants..
For those seeking more beach time, you will find several beaches close by: rugged Dunn's Beach (30 min walk), 2 miles of sandy beach at Pomquet Provincial Park (10 minute drive), Mahoney's Beach (30 min).
Keppoch Mountain, a recreational site for biking, hiking, disc golf, and winter sports is 25 minutes away.

This centuries old church has been renovated into a duplex. It has a private entrance, two tv’s private parking and a bathtub. The loft, is spacious with a sky light and reading area. We are steps from downtown, with a variety of dining options and shops. We have walking paths with several sites to explore. We have kayaks for rent with river, behind us and the Ocean a short drive.My wife Angel May, and I are on sight and are available anytime to answer any questions.

With picturesque harbour views, walking distance to a Trans Canada (The Jitney Trail) trail system, the deCoste Performing Arts Centre, Cultural Hub, gift shops, galleries, museums, and restaurants. A short drive to several Northumberland Shore warm water beaches. The Sunrise Trail never disappoints, with a lavender and sheep farm only 15-minutes away or wet your palette with the taste of an internationally known winery 1-hour away.

7 min ( 6,3km ) to Pictou, where you will find Sobeys, NSLC, Boutique shops, Restaurants, Museums, and the historic Ship Hector.
Enjoy a stroll at the Harbour.

We saw deer every night and every morning, which was exciting. The apartment was in the perfect location for enjoying PEI for a day (taking the nearby ferry), going to Hopewell Rocks for a day, and exploring some of nearby Nova Scotia. The beach at Caribou Provincial Park was beautiful and not crowded. The host is very kind and welcoming. She gave us useful tips on sights to see and was very quick at responding to questions. This north shore oasis is 1km from Caribou Provincial park beach. It is also within 6 km of the ferry to PEI and just on the outskirts of the charming town of Pictou.
The space
"The Roost" offers a rustic, cottage-like setting with plenty of storage space, a full kitchen, separate living room and a private entrance. The apartment is located on the upper level of our garage. Is this the Marriott? Not a chance.
That said, we think it's pretty charming and will offer you a unique perspective of laid-back, rural Nova Scotia living. The apartment offers plenty of privacy and is perfect for independent travelers. Please note: Next to the garage is our home, where we live with our two children. The apartment is accessed via a flight of external stairs. Please book at your own discretion and awareness of any physical limitations you may have.

Welcome to downtown Truro!
Spacious and full of natural light, this is a perfect place to unwind.
The living room has a TV with Netflix and two couches. There is a hidden nook with a Super Nintendo off of the living room as well as vintage arcade machines in the rear rec room. A large third-floor deck is located off the back of the apartment.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials such as an oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, microwave. blender, dishes, utensils and cookware. Help yourself! Everything in the apartment was left here for you.
Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, a third bedroom with a king bed, and a small bedroom with a twin bed.
The master bedroom has a laundry room and ensuite bathroom attached. This bathroom is equipped with a jetted jacuzzi tub and double sinks.
The smaller bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo. There is only 1 shower in the apartment, but there are 2 bathtubs.
This is a third-floor walk-up with no elevator access and 1 driveway parking spot.
Guest access
You will have access to a full 4-bedroom apartment in a private 4-unit building. There is 1 outdoor parking spot reserved for you in the front driveway.
You will not have access to any other parts of the building.
Due to noise level, we request that arcade machines are not played between the hours of 9 p.m.-9 a.m.

• This is a small quiet building. You will need to be respectful of noise and have no late-night visitors.

The home is over 100 years old. The appartment is located on George Street, which is a main thoroughfare joining the East and West sides of New Glasgow. Effective July 9, 2025, we are reducing our maximum occupancy from 6 to 2. We will honour bookings made prior to this date for groups of 3-6. We are parents to a young boy, born in 2022, who sleeps through the night. Also a baby boy born in April 2025. If the sound of a child might impact your stay or vacation, this may not be the listing for you. We do appreciate quiet hours between 10 PM and 7 AM.
Our house cat, "Hercules," is friendly, calm, and may occasionally greet you, but rest assured, he will not enter your loft apartment.

There are two sets of stairs leading up to your private Loft apartment. The second set is narrow, but the loft itself offers a spacious retreat.

There is shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the bathroom. Enjoy in summer, a good front veranda where you can sit and watch any activities on the street. Each bedroom has a queen bed . The beds can sleep 2 people each but if not, the couch is ready and there are extra beddings available. Curtains are dark enough to make your nights longer. Tv in one of bedrooms is available and in the living room too.

You can use the entire home except the basement and the fenced backyard and the other door which is 19Duke street (off limits as this is for long term renters upstairs only.)
The entire verandah with chair and table is ready for you to use which is at the front of the house’ first floor , with barbecue grill right outside too.

There is washer , dryer and dishwasher in the same unit. The kitchen cupboard contains emergency instant foods that can help ease your hunger quick. I have a welcome bottled water and sometimes some chocolate goodies. Above you are long term renters who are aware of your presence but because this building is quite aged, footsteps or some tiny conversations , can be readily faintly heard but , not all the time. Please be aware that the beds are made of light IKEA wood frames as well as the linen closet assembly too, so jumping on bed can cause it to be broken . Remote control for tv in bedroom should be returned to the envelope once you leave.

Guests tell us the apartment is far more spacious than the pictures show. They love having 2 bathrooms, one with a tub off the kitchen and one with a shower as an ensuite to the master bedroom. A washer and dryer are in the apartment.

Your apartment is located on the main floor in the back of the newly established building on Main Street, Antigonish.
All walls and flooring are insulated for maximum privacy and noise control. A heat pump provides a clean and comfortable living environment with energy efficient heating and air conditioning.
High speed internet as well as Roku-Tv is provided.
Overnight parking is no longer allowed in any public car park. However, so that you can leave your car overnight, I organised a free parking space for you. It's just down the road, so it's not too far from the flat.
