Located in Pictou, within 1.2 miles of Hector Heritage Quay and 2.2 miles of Pictou Golf and Country Club, The Lionstone Inn Motel and Cottages has accommodations with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The property is around 1.2 miles from Northumberland Fisheries Museum, 2 miles from Pictou Yacht Club and 11 miles from Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame. Big back deck for afternoon/evening BBQ. 10 minute drive to Melmerby Beach (best public beach in Nova Scotia), 15 minute drive to New Glasgow. 30 minute drive to the PEI ferry located at Caribou NS. 2 hour drive to downtown Halifax. Choice of 3 local golf courses. Cross-fit gym available in New Glasgow as well as a yoga studio and the Pictou County Wellness Center. Great local roads for cycling, and trails for hiking/biking. Attractions include the Museum of Industry in New Glasgow, and the deCoste Performing Arts Center in Pictou. Day trips include the town of Antigonish - you can could also continue east to access Cape Breton, the Cabot Trail, and Fortress Louisburg, or you could instead drive north around beautiful Cape George (the "little Cabot Trail") parts of which can actually be seen toward the east from the front deck of the Cottage itself!

A good location for a stress-free stay in Bayfield, Sea'scape Cottages is a chalet surrounded by views of the garden. The property features a private beach area, barbecue facilities, and parking on-site among other facilities. There's a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. The chalet provides river views, a sun terrace, and free Wifi is available throughout the property. The chalet provides guests with a balcony, sea views, a seating area, satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower and a hair dryer. A toaster, a fridge, and stovetop are also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the chalet complex, every unit includes bed linen and towels. Activities such as cycling, fishing, and hiking can be enjoyed in the area, and guests can relax along the beachfront. The chalet has a picnic area where you can spend the day outdoors. Dockside cottage is the perfect location! Just 10 minutes to Truro or Stewiacke and 35 to Dartmouth crossing or 45 to downtown Halifax!!

There is a bakery in Brookfield that has the most amazing treats which is just a few minutes away!

The lake has a public boat launch so bringing your boat is very convenient. After a day of tubing, relax in the hot tub or enjoy a fire, lakeside!

The cottage will have everything you need! It is truly your home away from home!

The two story house offers a spacious design with three bedrooms and just about every amenity you may need. We are within a five minute drive to the most beautiful light sandy beaches of Nova Scotia. You may walk to the waters edge of the inside bays which surround the area. The property is available for rent on a weekly basis with a discount or as a five day min stay in July and August. Discount of 8% for one week rental. The house comes equipped with high speed Wi-Fi, work desk with keyboard (USB), bedding, barbeque, patio furniture, dishwasher, toaster, wood fireplace, screened in porch, outside fire pit, and TV. Microwave, dishes, dishwasher, drip coffee maker and a Keurig. We have one queen in a front bedroom and one king in the front master bedroom and another queen in the back bedroom. All beds are on second floor. There is air conditioning/heat pump servicing the first floor and fans available on second. There is parking for three cars and we do restrict the number of day time visitors to the property to four. Maximum number of over night guests is 6 total.

Other things to note
Antigonish Harbour is a protected estuary where you can kayak, sail, or canoe in protected waters--you can access all this from your door. Prepare for spectacular sunsets as you barbeque on the private deck and watch the herons feed at the water's edge.

Kayaks are available free for guest use.

We are 15 minutes from the town of Antigonish, where you will find St. Francis Xavier University, well-stocked stores, and an assortment of restaurants..

For those seeking more beach time, you will find several beaches close by: rugged Dunn's Beach (30 min walk), 2 miles of sandy beach at Pomquet Provincial Park (10 minute drive), Mahoney's Beach (30 min).

Keppoch Mountain, a recreational site for biking, hiking, disc golf, and winter sports is 25 minutes away.

Lobster season here is May and June. The wharf is just down the road.

A newly renovated cottage nestled between two beaches on the Northumberland strait. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchens (1 full and 1 that is not fully stocked). The main kitchen is on the bottom floor and fully equipped for all your cooking needs, there is a fridge and a stove upstairs that is usable. The upstairs is not accessible from the bottom level. It is designed like two separate places. There is a wraparound deck to walk up the stairs to get into the top floor. There will NOT be other people staying at the same time, we rent it as a whole unit. It is the perfect accommodation for two families or two couples, who want to vacation together and be in close proximity, yet not share the same personal spaces. One side of the cottage is on a beautiful, sandy beach, the other side of the cottage is nestled in a cove, with a view of the Prince Edward Island fairy crossing.
Dig clams on one side and beach and swim on the other! 360° Waterview with balconies to admire the view!

Relax and enjoy your stay in this cottage which has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen and a single bed. The other bedroom has a double bed that sleeps two people. There is a queen pull out sofa bed in the living room that sleeps 2 more people.

The cottage is winterized and available year round. It is located 15 minutes from the town of Antigonish. It is close to several beaches and is situated along a scenic coastal drive on the Sunrise Trail. Fresh lobster can be bought at the local lobster pound in Arisaig in the spring and summer a short drive down the road. The cottage sits in a small field surrounded by a forest where you can sit and enjoy the propane bbq and the bonfire pit. It has a large wooden deck with seating and solar lighting. A beautiful ocean beach is 3km away. There is a small 12 foot above ground pool.

It has a dishwasher and air conditioning. A clothes washer and dryer, television and wifi. Everything that you need to enjoy your stay is supplied.

No parties please. Please do not throw cigarettes on the lawn and no burning of garbage.

I was there for a work trip and the house had everything we needed. It was cosy and very reminicient of homes I grew up in the 1970s. Our property is perfect for enjoying the activities and views that come with this waterfront location. Enjoy a day out kayaking and canoeing, relax on the large deck, barbecue with al fresco dining in the gazebo which features a mammoth stone fireplace, enjoy the large game room, explore the many scenic hiking trails and beaches in the area, visit Antigonish which is only a 10 minutes drive away, and more. The peace, beauty, and activities available here provide an idyllic spot for your getaway.

This cottage has one full bathroom but also features a second outdoor shower which is an excellent way to rinse off after a refreshing ocean swim. Guests will have access to our high-speed Fiber Optic internet and are welcome to use our private dock as well as having two kayaks and a canoe at your disposal. Several other amenities are available on this property including a large game room.

The game room is in the 2nd story of our barn. This game room features a surround sound system, large TV for movies, a pool table, ping pong, foosball, a bar, and an indoor mini ramp for skilled skateboarders. This is a great spot for kids of all ages! The game room is also used by us, so it does qualify as a communal area but if you'd like to use the game room without interruption just let us know and we're happy to accommodate.

On our property, we have a very long and large driveway. The cottage also has its own parking area. There is plenty of parking space for everyone. Our property is rural, surrounded by the ocean, woods, hiking trails, and nature. Antigonish is only a 10-minute drive away and features many excellent restaurants, local shopping, a golf course, StFX University, and more.

Our residence is on the same property further down the long driveway. However, it is more than 400ft away through the woods and not visible from the cottage. Spaces shared with us: The driveway, dock, and barn/game room.

Covid 19: The barn/game room is NOT available to those using this property to quarantine. We also use the game room, therefore, it can not be shared with those in quarantine. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Welcome to Riverstone Cottage, which is nestled alongside Balmoral Brook and offers breathtaking views from every window of the cottage. The cottage is conveniently located only 10 minutes from the heart of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. This hidden gem is perfect for those who love enjoying the outdoors and still enjoy the luxury of having a comfortable spot to sleep at night. Come spend the night at Riverstone Cottage and let the sound of the babbling brook wash away your worries.

The Cottage is open concept with a loft bedroom accessible by ladder. It’s designed to sleep four people comfortably. It’s most suitable for couples or small families.

Bed 1 – This bed is located on the main floor of the cottage. After a long day of exploring the outdoors, come sink into your cozy and comfortable queen-sized ENDY mattress and relax. The cottage is open concept, so there is no separation from the bedroom, living room or kitchen. There are curtains for every window if you do not prefer to wake up when the world does.

Bed 2 – This bed is in our loft area. The loft is only accessible by ladder and should be considered when travelling with young children. The second bed is also a super comfortable queen-sized ENDY mattress, which will provide you a comfortable place to relax after a long day of exploring.

Kitchen/BBQ – The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee machine and toaster. We provide pots, pans and the basic kitchen essentials needed for everyday use. We also provide a BBQ for guests to use, which is located on the side of the cottage.

Bathroom – We have a fully equipped bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. We provide towels for our guests during their stay.

Temperature Control – The cottage is equipped with a heat pump which is ideal for any weather. If you like it freezing cold or extra warm, choose which temperature is good for you. There is also additional baseboard heating to help make the cottage toasty warm in the winter months if you so choose.

Dog Policy – We are pet friendly! Please contact us and tell us a little about your furry friend before booking. Please ensure to add your furry friend to the reservation when booking, as a $50 additional cleaning fee will be applied.

Outdoor Area – We are nestled right next to the Balmoral Brook, which offers a private swimming spot in the warmer months. We have a large wrap around deck with glass panels, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of the brook and surrounding area. There is also a lower platform right next to the water for those who love the sound of the babbling brook. This is an ideal location for those wanting to relax and become one with nature again. We promise you will not be bored during your stay here

The Duck Pond Cottage is a cozy two bedroom cottage! Comes complete with a full kitchen, dining area, comfortable living room, and spacious deck. Dine outside with the included BBQ or stretch out and enjoy the stars at night while cozied around the fire pit. All you need to bring with you to have a great time is your clothes and food. We provide all the tools and toys to make your stay as relaxing as possible while Mother Nature provides the backdrop.Surrounded by mature hardwood trees on the shores of Sheep Island, Pomquet Beach Cottages will offer visitors a tranquil retreat in tasteful and well appointed Canada Select Four Star rated cottages. Our Cottages reflect the quality of the lodging, the little extras including friendly proprietor-led bilingual service, the ample choices of activities nearby and board games and books for those seldom rainy days.

Located near the gates of the Pomquet Beach Provincial Park, and just 20 minutes from Antigonish visitors will be treated to a three-mile sandy beach, perfect for that sunny afternoon. Relax on the life-guarded beach, take a walk or jog in the fresh salt air or enjoy the interpretive board-walk describing this, the best example of dune succession in Nova Scotia.

- "The cabins are so beautiful and clean, that was my initial reaction when we walked into the cabin for our 3 day stay! The view of the water was so pretty and we saw lots of wildlife as well. The owner was so nice and friendly and we are already planning our next trip!" - "What a cute spot. The cabins were very nice, the view was nice too bad there was some trees blocking it. The owner is wonderful always smiling and saying hello. It’s 15mins from town and a 5 min car ride to the beach. I would definitely go back."

- "2nd time here, great location, beautiful view. Great host, Highly recommend it as a stay " - "The setting is lovely, and the distillery next door is a highlight — great drinks and welcoming staff. The cabin shows signs of some recent updates, but overall it feels a bit tired and neglected. While the layout is fine, the beds were too soft for our liking, and the towels were thin and well past their prime. There’s a strong floral scent in the bedrooms that felt more like covering something up than creating a relaxing atmosphere. The kitchen was missing a few essentials, and though it had the basics, it didn’t feel thoughtfully stocked. The bathroom has no fan, which made it feel damp and stuffy. A couple of unwelcome cockroaches showed up in the kitchen on our last day. The hot tub cover has seen better days, and the general impression was that the place could use a deeper level of attention and upkeep. Also worth noting: the owner doesn’t provide keys, as nothing is locked — fine for us since we stayed put, but something to consider if you plan to leave during your stay."
