This property boasts nearly 360 degree views of the ocean on a magnificent 38 acre piece of land. You will find trails all along the property that offer access to the coastline at any point. These trails are fully accessible during your stay. You can wake up to ocean views and enjoy a morning stroll next to the ocean, breathing in fresh salt water air. The views from this property are exceptional. They allow you sights of multiple different islands, fishing boats coming and going from multiple different wharfs and many bird species of Nova Scotia flying above the Ocean.

- "My family and I had an incredible stay. The location was breathtaking ... so much to explore on the property. A rocky beach. Wild roses everywhere. And so much wildlife. Osprey. Hawks. Gulls. Sheep and goats. Little bunnies too! When the tide was low, we could see seals sunbathing on a sandbar. And there is so much to see within a half hour drive. Lighthouses, museums. So many great restaurants (with hardly any tourists). And one of the most beautiful, pristine beaches I've ever seen (Hawk Beach). We almost had the beach to ourself. The cottage itself was great. As another reviewer noted, the beds are exceptionally firm (one, on the main floor, was softer). Liam, as well as the owner, were incredibly friendly and responsive. I can't recommend this place enough."

- "We enjoyed our visit at the cottage, loved the location and scenery and peaceful surroundings . Having a (free) access to laundry is a definite plus. Needs more than a hanger on the wall in the bedrooms, a small bureau or chest is needed. A lamp or light on the stove, the overhead lighting is too bright for watching tv. We had issues trying to find programming or an instruction book, batteries in remotes were almost dead. An fyi for older people; the tub/shower is very high to step over, my 89 yr old mother struggled with it and there’s no grab bars. Not a full set of dishes and utensils, but other than that, I would definitely stay again."

**The space**
The cottage has an open-concept kitchen/dining/living area with ocean-views. The kitchen has a full sized fridge with ice machine, full size range oven, and microwave. The kitchen also has cooking essentials: from pots and pans to cutlery and plates. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a Queen size bed, ceiling fan, luggage rack, bedside lamp and alarm clock.

We strive to keep this cottage scent-free and to minimize the use of harsh chemical products. Therefore, smoking is prohibited. We discourage using strong perfumes/cologne, etc.

Guests have use of the entire cottageFeaturing air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace, Argyle Sound Cottages is situated in Pubnico. Boasting a patio, the holiday home is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking and fishing.

The holiday home has 2 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, an equipped kitchen with a microwave and a fridge, a washing machine, and 1 bathroom with a bath.

We are about a 30 minute drive from the Yarmouth ferry which sails to Bar Harbour Maine. Our cottages are perfect for staying a few days and exploring the area.

- "We stayed here in mid July with our two pre-teen boys. The view is beautiful from the front deck and the rooms were neat and comfortable. The main level enters into the open, fully stocked kitchen and dining area. The full bath is to your left which includes basic toiletries. The living area with queen size pullout is located to the right with a flat screen TV with Chromecast and WIFI for entertainment purposes. This space may also be used as an office or reading area.

The upper level displays panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and soaks in hues of sunlight all day long. The sunrise over the water from the upper deck will wash your worries away. Wake up to the trees blowing from side to side from cathedral windows. There is plenty of space for activity on this level as well as outdoors in the yard including play, yoga, meditation, exercise, a quiet space for work, writing or journaling. Whatever floats your boat!

- "The view from the upstairs bedroom was fantastic. The two decks were very good. The main floor was small once the tv room was used as a bedroom with the pullout sofa. It's completely serene and the perfect place to get away, rest and recover as well as a great jump off location to visit Yarmouth, Cape Forchu Lighthouse, Digby for some scallops and the rest of the southern part of Nova Scotia. When we first arrived we had a slight communication issue with getting check in and check out instructions but the property manager was very quick to respond to my emails and we were back on track in just a few minutes. The upstairs (master bedroom) is very nice and has a large deck outside to relax on as well. There is no air conditioning, but the house is situated so close to the water that we simply opened up a few downstairs windows and the sliding door in the master bedroom upstairs and the house cooled down greatly in just a short time. The only bathroom is downstairs so be careful if you are coming down in the night. The kitchen is fully stocked and has modern appliances so you can do some real cooking if you like. We had hoped to see some Aurora lights while we were there but ended up blessed with very foggy nights that were still very cool."

Each bunk bed is a comfortable double size with bedding supplied. Please note the upper bunk has no rail so so small children are safre on the lower bunk. Guests make the bunks up and there is extra bedding available in the cupboard. There are plenty of towels and 2 hanging chairs that can be hung at the lower deck. The space
Our 1916 cottage has received many improvements in 2021.
In keeping with the era the original building is uninsulated, a core heat is provided with a Pacific Energy insert stove in the unique fireplace, a great option for those cooler mornings, evenings and nice ambience for those rainy days. The newly added bedrooms and bathroom are insulated and heated with electric baseboard heaters.

This cottage is located approximately 1 km from the local convenience store, Carleton Country Outfitters, with NSLC and Robin's Donuts. My Cottage By The Sea. An older charming, inviting, eclectic property at the end of a quiet lane, with ocean views and walking distance to beaches and our famous Lighthouse. Working from home? Not a problem with our high speed internet.

The space
Located at the end of a quiet lane, we have a lovely yard, multi function 2 tiered deck with a large hot tub with colored lighting and blue tooth speakers in the tub! Also comfortable patio furniture, gas fire pit, and barbecue. The top floor has two bedrooms with comfortable double beds, and a newly added half bath. The downstairs bathroom is equipped with a jet tub and rain shower. The sunroom/ dining area is a magical space with a panoramic view of Outer False Harbor. The galley kitchen is equipped with everything you could need for meal preparation and caffeine fixes. The living room has cozy seating, a woodstove, library, and Smart TV.

Guest access
There is parking for two vehicles, and guests have private access to the entire cottage, decks and hot tub. Take a short walk to two sandy beaches. Or stroll to our famous lighthouse. (2KM)

Other things to note
The cottage is equipped with games, art supplies, books, and outdoor comforts including a hot tub if you prefer a stay at home experience. The nearby beaches are perfect for walking, and swimming and take a 15 minute stroll to Yarmouth's famous lighthouse and giftshop. Book a climb to the top! We are also only a 15 minute scenic drive into our quaint town where you will find museums, boutiques, a micro brewery, "Heritage Brewing CO", lots of cafes and restaurants. Love to thrift and shop for antiques? Yarmouth is famous for this. Afterwards visit The Dinnerplate for fabulous seafood, or bring some back to dine in the sunroom overlooking the ocean.

The sandy beach is a popular one for strolling and watching the wave action during stormy weather in the fall and winter.
Wake to a rosy sunrise and watch the marine traffic entering and leaving Yarmouth Harbour past the lighthouse, or herons fishing in tidal pools.

The LightKeepers Cottage is a unique property bordering the historic Cape Forchu Light house. Its last owner was a direct descendant from the original Lightkeeper James Fox. It is furnished with many interesting antiques, original paintings and prints. The cottage is situated on 3 acres of oceanfront, extending from the Yarmouth Harbour in front to the tumultuous False Harbour behind that lured many ships to an untimely end.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable providing spectacular sea views.

The cottage is spacious at 2200sq ft with generous bedrooms and a 630 ft living room overlooking the Yarmouth Harbour.
