Swim, go fishing or boat from the sunny docks by the beach house and bike or hike right from the cottage! You can also snowshoe, cross country ski or skate right outside your front door in the winter. In less than 20 minutes you can be at Wentworth ski hill, the ocean or your favourite golf course. You'll enjoy a lakeside getaway in a two bedroom cottage on beautiful Angevine lake. A warm wood finish open concept living, dining and kitchen area overlooks the lake through the trees. A covered porch with gas bbq invites outdoor cooking with ample space on decking around the cottage. A screened gazebo sits at the shoreline surrounded by a large deck and a dock with a ladder for easy swimming access. The main bedroom has a queen bed and small walk-in closet. The 2nd bedroom is larger with two bunk beds (single bed on top and doubles on the bottom). Bathroom has a shower and a small ante room outside the bathroom has a stacked washer and dryer.
The cottage sits on a large lot surrounded by a privacy border of trees. Both sun and shade to be found.
There is walk in access to the lake with a gradual increase in depth. Water depth at the end of the dock is about 3 feet and temperatures are fine for swimming mid June though September. As you watch the sunset from the dock, watch for the passing beaver or loons.

Barbecues (propane and charcoal), fire pit (and wood), hammock, toys, badminton, croquet, and washer toss. We have a right of way to the beach close by (pictured) that includes a sitting area with a bench. There are folding chairs under the stairs, and more in the large shed, for beach use.

There's also a large second story patio with umbrella, dining table, deck chairs and propane fire table.

Indoors:
Crib, crokinole, board games, dart board, Smart TV in main room and small TV with built in DVD player in the main floor bedroom with lots of DVDs. As well, a Bose Bluetooth speaker.

We leave condiments and various kitchen essentials for your use.

Enjoy our large soaker tub, with fireplace, in a sauna-like setting. Lots of hot water!!

The Cottage is open concept with a loft bedroom accessible by ladder. It’s designed to sleep four people comfortably. It’s most suitable for couples or small families.

Bed 1 – This bed is located on the main floor of the cottage. After a long day of exploring the outdoors, come sink into your cozy and comfortable queen-sized ENDY mattress and relax. The cottage is open concept, so there is no separation from the bedroom, living room or kitchen. There are curtains for every window if you do not prefer to wake up when the world does.

Bed 2 – This bed is in our loft area. The loft is only accessible by ladder and should be considered when travelling with young children. The second bed is also a super comfortable queen-sized ENDY mattress, which will provide you a comfortable place to relax after a long day of exploring.

Kitchen/BBQ – The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee machine and toaster. We provide pots, pans and the basic kitchen essentials needed for everyday use. We also provide a BBQ for guests to use, which is located on the side of the cottage.

Bathroom – We have a fully equipped bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. We provide towels for our guests during their stay.

Temperature Control – The cottage is equipped with a heat pump which is ideal for any weather. If you like it freezing cold or extra warm, choose which temperature is good for you. There is also additional baseboard heating to help make the cottage toasty warm in the winter months if you so choose.

Dog Policy – We are pet friendly! Please contact us and tell us a little about your furry friend before booking. Please ensure to add your furry friend to the reservation when booking, as a $50 additional cleaning fee will be applied.

Outdoor Area – We are nestled right next to the Balmoral Brook, which offers a private swimming spot in the warmer months. We have a large wrap around deck with glass panels, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of the brook and surrounding area. There is also a lower platform right next to the water for those who love the sound of the babbling brook. This is an ideal location for those wanting to relax and become one with nature again. We promise you will not be bored during your stay here

We are minutes from whitewater rafting, mud sliding, tidal bore look off and Anthony Park and amazing Bass fishing.

Cottage is on the beach, with a large rock. We hope to build stairs to the beach but it is very possible there will be NO STAIRS OVER THE ROCK WALL. We are building a small deck on the rock wall, which should be completed by June 2024. This is not in the photos

2 bedroom/1 bath homey cottage is a family getaway come true. The spacious adjoining screened-in room consisting approximately 200sqft allows you to enjoy the outdoors rain or shine. For guests you have a spacious detached open concept bunkhouse with a 2-pc bath, and R/I for shower. Custom built pine tongue and groove family-owned cottage has been the home of incredible sunsets for many years. On those rainy nights, enjoy an evening by the wood stove snuggled up with your favorite book. Nearby amenities include golfing, parks, walking and biking trails. Lake offers sailing, swimming, fishing, and boating.

Our cottage is the perfect launch point for everything Sutherland Lake has to offer - truly a four season destination! With direct access to one of the best trail networks in the province, and the lake for skating, fishing, or boating you will have a variety of great adventures to pick from or just sit back and relax!
The space
Our open concept but cozy cottage, with vaulted ceilings and large windows, brings in lots of natural light and allows for great lake views and beautiful sunsets.

The main floor is open concept kitchen/living room, bathroom and one bedroom with single over double bunks. Upstairs features a large loft
with two semi-enclosed queen bedrooms with curtains for privacy, and a common area with a futon and games table.

Outside there is a large deck, bbq, fire pit,dock, canoe, trails in every direction, and ample space for parking vehicles and trailers. This is a popular area for outdoor enthusiasts so expect atv, snowmobile, and watercraft traffic.

We are located 25 minutes from Ski Wentworth and Masstown Market and one minute from Sutherland Lake Snowmobile Club.

Welcome to your Lakeside Retreat, which is perched beside the peaceful Earltown Lake and offers breathtaking views. This hidden gem is perfect for those who love enjoying the outdoors and still enjoy the luxury of having a comfortable spot to sleep at night. Come unwind and spend the night at the Lakeside Retreat!

The Cottage is open concept with a beautiful vaulted ceiling and skylights. There are three bedroom - two with queen beds and one with bunk beds!

Kitchen/BBQ – The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee machine and toaster. We provide pots, pans and the kitchen essentials needed for everyday use. We also provide a BBQ for guests to use, which is located on the side of the cottage.

Bathroom – We have a fully equipped bathroom with a tub/shower, sink and toilet. We provide towels for our guests during their stay.

Temperature Control – The cottage is equipped with a heat pump which is ideal for cooling and heating! There is also additional baseboard heating to help make the cottage toasty warm in the winter months if you so choose. Don't forget about the cozy wood fireplace too!

Hot Tub - We have a wood fired hot tub for you to relax and enjoy all year round!
