River House is situated at the end of West River Drive, Durham, Pictou County. The property is approached by a sweeping 400’ private drive and features unencumbered views and access to the West River. The house is approximately 2,700 sq.ft (250 sq.m).

Spread over 2 floors with the main living space being largely open plan, this gracious home features vaulted ceilings throughout, three sets of double sliding doors facing the West River and a sunroom with panoramic views. There is also a 16'x34' deck overlooking the river, which is accessible from the living room, sun room and master bedroom.

River House is the perfect spot to gather with family, friends or colleagues to relax and unwind, yet only a short drive to all the Pictou County towns – approximately 10 minutes to Pictou, 15 minutes to New Glasgow, Stellarton, Westville and Trenton and all of their neighbouring communities. Several beaches and provincial parks are less than a 15 minute drive away.

Also in the neighbouring towns are many shops and amenities, including theatre, cinema, many restaurants, coffee shops, various grocery stores and many large and independent shops.

The house sleeps up to 12 in total. There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor and 1 on the lower ground. The ground floor sleeps 2 on 1 king sized bed, 2 on a queen sized bed, 2 in single beds; the 4th bedroom/living area is located in the lower ground and has 1 small double bed, 2 sets of bunkbeds, 2 single beds, and an open plan chillout area with a 55" TV and a ping pong/table tennis table, as well as 2 desk areas. The ground floor has 3 bathrooms (2 with bath/showers and 1 W/C).

Children are welcome and there is a playpen/travel cot and highchair available. There are a variety of books, games, movies and toys suitable for all ages, which you are welcome to use.

From the front door, there is a spacious hallway area leading into all the ground floor living areas, including a large living room with sliding doors overlooking the beautiful West River.

There is a 16’x34’ deck providing walk-out access from the living room, sun room and master bedroom.

The walk-out deck leads to steps down to a new resort-style heated swimming pool with stairs in and 40' bench to relax and enjoy the views of the river. Measuring a generous 20'x40', the pool has a shallow end for little ones, and the remaining length is 4.5' deep so perfect for swimming but also games and socialising. Surrounding the pool is a stylish non-slip patio, 12'x20' gazebo with seating area, fridge, sink and outdoor shower. The entire pool and patio area is secured by wire rope fencing to ensure uninterrupted views of the river with lockable gates and pool safety cover in the off-season for security.

In the living room, there is a large TV, 2 sofas and 2 big chairs, and 2 additional chairs that can be pulled over if required. Additional chairs can be moved around from within the house if required.

The front entry also leads into an open plan kitchen and dining area, all facing out onto the West River.

The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a large kitchen island. The stove has 5 burners with a built-in microwave above and there is a drip coffee maker as well as a Tassimo pod machine, French press coffee maker, kettle, toaster and blender available. The kitchen is fully stocked to make and serve even the most elaborate of meals with lots of glasses, crockery, cooking utensils and serving ware.

The kitchen is open-plan to the dining area which seats 10-12 and faces our panoramic sunroom which is perfect for early morning coffee, cocktails or atmospheric dinners. There is lots of seating for entertaining and a dining set on the deck for al fresco dining when the weather permits. More chairs are available if required.

Also on the ground floor is a side door leading into the guest bathroom with toilet and sink, and washer and vented tumble dryer.

The lower ground has been converted to an open plan living, recreational and sleeping space in order to accommodate larger groups, with a quiet and comfortable sleeping area and a chillout area with a 55" TV for a bit of down-time, or a lively game of table tennis.

On the ground floor there is a large primary suite with double closet and a king-sized bed with memory foam. There is an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. There is also a double bedroom with a queen-sized bed, double closet, dressing table, and another double bedroom with 2 single beds.

On the lower ground, there is a large open plan room with a bedroom ‘nook’ that has a small double, and 2 sets of bunkbeds and a further two single beds. There is also a queen-sized double height blow up bed if needed. The lower ground floor room also has a chillout area with a TV for relaxing and a ping pong/table tennis table.

The ‘family’ bathroom has a bathtub with shower. There is a washroom at the top of the stairs, on the ground floor, which is incorporated into the utility area which also has a washer, vented tumble dryer, drying rail, vacuum, mop/bucket and the basic cleaning supplies you may need.

There is wi-fi and also a Roku 2 media streaming player which gives you access via the internet to a variety of channels, movies and music. There is also a DVD player and a selection of DVDs.

There is ample room to park many vehicles in the front driveway.

Professional spa treatments & pamper parties are also available – please inquire.

Towels and linens are included. For stays of 2 or more weeks, interim/additional cleaning can be arranged at a cost of approximately $250.

- "This is the second time I've stayed here. I enjoyed the summer more just due to the walk to the outhouse and hot tub. I was unlucky with the weather during my last stay which forced me to stay inside most of the time. Despite this, the property is what is what is advertised aevertisef " - "Lovely cabin with amenities. Problem with very uncomfortable mattress. Fan wobbled and made terrible noises and we were unable to adjust it. Heat Pump/Air conditioner made very loud noises as well and could not use. The Compost Toilet was leaking around the bottom which concerned us and we only used it when absolutely necessary. Otherwise the bathroom facilities were great. Hot tub had a terrible smell to it so we did not use it."

- "This property is what it says on the tin. It is a cozy bedroom in a field. The stream is very calming and so close to the cabin that you can hear it if you open the window, perfect for a relaxing morning with a book or loved one. I really enjoyed the firepit and also that I was allowed to gather firewood on the property (LOTS of deadfall to choose from). Even though it rained most of the time I was there, I was able to start fires with gathered wood. The hot tub was wonderful and well placed facing the stream and woods. The hike up to the windmills was pretty, steep enough to get a good sweat on, and ended in a magnificent view of the area. Points of friction (minimal): 1. The BBQ lighter was out of fluid so I had to buy matches to light the BBQ and the fire pit (probably already fixed by the time I write this review). 2. The property is bordered by a road. 95% of the time this was no issue as it is a relatively low traffic road. There were some loud vehicles at times (dirt bikes). Many of the people driving by would look into the property and slow down to check it out. This is understandable as it's probably a newer development and they're just curious, but it kind of felt like I was in the Truman show and they were the audience. Some fencing or greenery would go a long way for privacy. Overall this is a great stay for a great price. The people I dealt with (Shonna over the phone and the cleaner in person) were polite, helpful, and answered questions within minutes."

The space
Our newly built log home offers two bedrooms with two queen beds, an air mattress for an additional guest or child, and a pack and play for smaller children. You'll find two full bathrooms, with the main level featuring a tub/shower combination and a washer and dryer, while the upstairs ensuite boasts a stand-up shower and double sinks. The main living area features cathedral ceilings and abundant natural light throughout the day. A fully equipped kitchen has all the amenities needed to prepare meals for friends or family, and a BBQ on the back deck is available for your use. In the backyard, relax in the screened-in room with comfortable furniture, or gather around the fire pit with chairs overlooking the green space. Keep an eye out for deer, bear, and birds in the area. On the front covered porch, you'll find beach essentials, including a wagon with beach buckets and frisbees, four folding chairs, and an umbrella. Private access to Blue Sea Beach is a 5-7 minute walk to the end of the subdivision. Note that the bridge crossing the brook is erected between June and October; access to the beach is still available year-round with some walking around the brook.

Welcome to downtown Truro!

Spacious and full of natural light, this is a perfect place to unwind.

The living room has a TV with Netflix and two couches. There is a hidden nook with a Super Nintendo off of the living room as well as vintage arcade machines in the rear rec room. A large third-floor deck is located off the back of the apartment.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials such as an oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, microwave. blender, dishes, utensils and cookware. Help yourself! Everything in the apartment was left here for you.

Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, a third bedroom with a king bed, and a small bedroom with a twin bed.

The master bedroom has a laundry room and ensuite bathroom attached. This bathroom is equipped with a jetted jacuzzi tub and double sinks.

The smaller bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo. There is only 1 shower in the apartment, but there are 2 bathtubs.

This is a third-floor walk-up with no elevator access and 1 driveway parking spot.

You will have access to a full 4-bedroom apartment in a private 4-unit building. There is 1 outdoor parking spot reserved for you in the front driveway.

You will not have access to any other parts of the building.

The kitchen and dining room is spacious although the countertop is just enough in size. We try our best to fill up your immediate dining, with pots and pans, blender, rice cooker, coffee maker, toaster and mixing bowls and pairing knives .and , condiments, coffee, tea or crackers . There is shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the bathroom. Enjoy in summer, a good front veranda where you can sit and watch any activities on the street. Each bedroom has a queen bed . The beds can sleep 2 people each but if not, the couch is ready and there are extra beddings available. Curtains are dark enough to make your nights longer. Tv in one of bedrooms is available and in the living room too.

You can use the entire home except the basement and the fenced backyard and the other door which is 19Duke street (off limits as this is for long term renters upstairs only.)
The entire verandah with chair and table is ready for you to use which is at the front of the house’ first floor , with barbecue grill right outside too.

There is washer , dryer and dishwasher in the same unit. The kitchen cupboard contains emergency instant foods that can help ease your hunger quick. I have a welcome bottled water and sometimes some chocolate goodies. Above you are long term renters who are aware of your presence but because this building is quite aged, footsteps or some tiny conversations , can be readily faintly heard but , not all the time. Please be aware that the beds are made of light IKEA wood frames as well as the linen closet assembly too, so jumping on bed can cause it to be broken . Remote control for tv in bedroom should be returned to the envelope once you leave.

The space
The entire house is solely reserved for the guest, as it is exclusively theirs to enjoy in complete privacy, with no shared spaces or interruptions.

The house is right across FoodLand, Pharmasave, Dollar store, NSLC and Blue Nose fitness.

All restaurants in Truro and Bible Hill are very close and in a five minute drive radius. Some are even in walking distance!

Your family will be close to everything in our cozy country suites are situated in Truro, the hub town of Nova Scotia. You are minutes away from gorgeous Victoria Park, take in a round of golf at the glorious Truro Golf and country club. Spend a relaxing afternoon watching the highest tides in the world at tidal bore park. Exciting downtown Halifax is only a 50 minute drive or mosey on over to one of Nova Scotia’s glorious beaches - some as close 30 minutes

The space
You will have a private bedroom with a king size bed, pull out sofa and attached private bath.
There is a full kitchen, sitting area, outdoor sitting and dining that you are welcome to use but please keep in mind there may be other guests in these shared spaces. Please note the Melmerby room is on the second floor.

Please note that we are a family friendly facility. We encourage children to laugh and play and have a good time; while at the same time being respectful of other guests and their desire to enjoy the property and it’s amenities. Also of note, my husband and I run youth programming and from time to time during the daytime, we may be hosting “learn to” sports programming for young children on part of the grounds. Additionally, we host specialized birthday parties. We make every attempt to keep the sporting events and birthday parties as separate as possible from the accommodations, but it is possible that you may hear children laughing, playing and having a great time!

Bright, roomy and centrally located: a 5-minute walk from lovely Victoria Park and +/- 10 minutes from most downtown hotspots: Saturday Farmer's Market, Inglis Street, Marigold Cultural Centre, etc.

An oldie, but a goodie with a mix of new (bathroom, heat pump, shiny toaster) and not so new (plaster walls, kitchen cabinets, hardwood floors).

Having been an Airbnb guest many times in the past, I have tried to create a comfortable, functional space for visitors. Do let me know what you think!

The space
The house sits on its own little knoll, awaiting guests from far and wide.

The main level has a full kitchen and a sunny, spacious living room/dining room combo.

Kitchen has major and minor appliances and hopefully everything else you need to enjoy a meal or two. Or snacks.

The living room has a decorative, but non-functioning fireplace (have added pretty lights for mood-setting), a wonky record player, and books and games for your enjoyment. You can also nap on the couch or flop into the armchair for some personal screen time.

The upper level has three bedrooms, one with a queen, one with a double and one with a single bed. This is also where you will find the small, but modern bathroom. Bedding and towels are provided.

The back yard is pretty private in the summer, but the uncouth neighbourhood deer will trample through from time to time. This is usually a fun and exciting sight for visitors, but if visitors are wondering why there are no flowers or pretty things jazzing up the space, it's because the un-dear deer eat everything (also: poop it out). But yes: great photo ops!

There is a shared driveway that can accommodate two vehicles.

Guest access
Guests have the whole home to themselves, except for the basement.

There is an old set and a new set of stairs from the driveway. The old set is missing a couple of bottom steps; useful for morning stretches and displaying interesting rocks.

Entry is from the front door.

• A spacious primary bedroom with a king-size bed and access to a private sun porch on the main floor.

• Renovated attic featuring a second bedroom and a cozy den with a third queen bed. Note: The den room is semi-private and open to the stairway—there’s a privacy curtain between rooms, but no door, as the ceiling design doesn’t allow one. There is a gate installed at the top of the stairs for safety.

• Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for home-cooked meals.

• A small dining area, perfect for family meals or a quiet dinner.

• A cozy living room with a TV, comfortable seating, and access to a large private deck and spacious backyard

Other things to note
If you’re traveling with small children, please note that the den bedroom on the second floor is semi-private and open to the stairway. There is a privacy curtain between rooms, but no door, as the ceiling design doesn’t allow for one. For safety, a baby gate is installed at the top of the stairs.

The space
Welcome to our Airbnb space! A peaceful hilltop house in residential community of Truro. Steps away from Victoria park, trails, and restaurants downtown are 4-5 mins drive.We hope you find it comfortable and enjoyable during your stay. If you need any additional information about the space or amenities, please don't hesitate to ask. We want to ensure you have a wonderful experience while you're here.

The environment is quiet and peaceful, centrally located. The backyard is very private and quiet, often deers shows up.

The main level:

Open concept kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, range and a fridge. Small appliances are provided: coffee maker, waffle maker, instapot and Ninja air fryer. We have 65” television with access to Netflix.
- We have a dedicated office room, a monitor is provided if guests would like to connect their laptop.
Additional room is having a full/queen pullout bed, extra blankets and pillows are in the same room.
- A common half bath with in suite washer and dryer.

Second level:

We have 3 bedrooms:
- Master suite with queen bed and walk-in closet and full bathroom.
- Secondary bedroom with queen bed.
- Third bedroom with a twin bunk bed.
- Common full bathroom.
- A closet in the hallway is locked for supplies.

Backyard and Screened porch:
A private backyard with hot tub. It’s always on and 102F.

Basement/Garage:
The basement is not accessible to guests. The doors will remain locked, as a friend of ours resides there.

Guest access
Guest have their private access from front main door. There is free parking on the driveway and on curb side.

We are happy to provide the following supplies for your convenience as complementary:

- 2X toilet paper per bathroom

4. Please update the correct number of guests while booking. Otherwise, a charge of $40 will be applied for each additional guest per night.
