Rooms have a lock on them and their entrance door also has a lock and they said some people question why? Our question is why wouldn’t you want locks on the doors. My only suggestion would be to have a power bar in the room for charging electronics. My wife and I each have an iPhone, ipad and Apple Watch so charging can be an issue, but we made out okay as we just unplugged the hair dryer and used that outlet. they are right on the harbour and we had an excellent view of the harbour. When we come back to Digby we will definitely stay here again."

Holdsworth House History
The Holdsworth House was built in 1783, by Loyalist James Holdsworth. He came here with his family after the American Revolution. The family continued to live here until 1976. After that time, the house remained in the family(it was a rental property). We purchased the home in 1998, and started to restore the neglected house. This home is for people who enjoy historic homes and appreciate the quirkiness that comes with a house that is over 230 years old. The Holdsworth House allows guests to experience what it would have been like to live in a Loyalist home, but, with all the comforts of the modern era.
You can access the beach from the path leading from the backyard. Kayak rentals available in town, just 5 minutes from the house. Whale watching can be arranged with a discount for our guests(advance booking required). The historic sites of Annapolis Royal are 20 minutes by car. Kedjimkujik national park is a 40 minute drive. Plenty of hiking trails and canoe rentals available.
The Holdsworth House is SELF CATERING . No daily maid service. Linens are provided for your stay. You are responsible to supply yourself with paper towel and bathroom rolls. We supply the initial startup of paper products.

Well maintained home with incredible views overlooking the Bay of Fundy. The house is a five minute walk to Digby Harbour, shops, bars and restaurants; and a ten minute walk to the Digby Pines Golf Course. Its a great location in all respects! The rooms are expansive and comfortably furnished. A large veranda surrounds the house with a brand new large decked area to the rear, a real sun trap, and a large back yard, the perfect place for barbeques or cocktails. The immediate neighbourhood is quiet and friendly.

The small fishing community of Digby, Nova Scotia is located at the western end of the Annapolis Valley and is blessed with the most temperate climate in the province. It is the ideal place for a family holiday, a romantic vacation or for those interested in motorcycles, it is the home of the Wharf Rat Rally in September. Locally available lobster and world famous scallops can be obtained at the wharf right off the boats and whale watching excursions are available as well.

A large capacity clothes washer and dryer are in the back porch, kitchen is fully equipped including dishwasher and there is a wall mounted 55 inch flat screen smart tv in the lounge and 36 inch one in the snug with superfast Bell Fiber and unlimited wifi throughout the house, veranda and back yard deck.

This is a beautiful 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom house located in the town of Digby. Three of the bedrooms on the second floor have their own private bathroom.

- "Lovely big home , lots of space, lovely big kitchen, 3 large clean bathrooms however, beds need updating. Supposed to sleep 12 , however the double bed and 2 twin beds were air mattresses and were very cold and uncomfortable. Should not assume beds will be doubly occupied. 4 of the 6 bedrooms have wonderful views of the water. The TV also needs to be updated, the one presently in the home is small and about 25 years old. Would have been nice to have another TV on the second floor in the yoga room and maybe one in a bedroom as not everyone wants to watch the same thing. Friendly neighbourhood, talked to lots of great people. The property mgr. Sandra is a wonderful person, very accommodating and friendly, we even bumped into her at a take out restaurant. Two people in our group had never been to N.S. before and totally loved being there. We are located 10 minutes from Digby and 5 minutes from the Bay Ferry. We are a renovated 114 year old life saving station with the Bay of Fundy 20 feet from our deck. On good days you can watch the whales, dolphins and gray seals swim by. It is peaceful , with a cool breeze to help on the hot days.

The space
The suite is very roomy and comfortable. The sun pours in the through the many windows but you can block all of the light with black out shades and curtains if you so choose. The queen bed has a new mattress that is very comfortable with a cozy duvet and sheets. The kitchen has everything you will need to make a nice meal and sit at the dining table looking out to the back yard. The living area has a pull out sofa and a new ROKU tv with netflix and prime. The bathroom is large and provides space for hanging up clothes etc.

Other things to note
We have a variety of free range chickens who are friendly and harmless. They will move away from cars when coming and going but we do ask that you drive slowly on the long driveway. We also have a small dog named Twig, he too is friendly and harmless.

Centrally located and steps from the ocean, Gray House is one of Digby's oldest homes. The house dates from 1873, and has been thoroughly updated throughout in the last couple of years, including a new kitchen and a deck, perfect for breathing in the salt air and kicking back.

Inside, you'll find 2 spacious bedrooms, lots of room for kicking back after you've climbed rocks, seen whales, or played golf at the nearby Pines course.

The space
Inside, you'll find a modern house, with an updated kitchen, with a mix of contemporary and antique furnishings, and collected art, much of it from the local area. The main floor contains a spacious living space with a work station, a cosy dining room with another work station (my writing desk), and a bathroom, with the kitchen at the end. Off the kitchen, you'll find the utility room with the washer and dryer.

Upstairs, you'll find a cozy hallway and two good sized bedrooms. The first contains two twin beds and some great local art, and the second has a queen sized bed.

The layout of the house is one of our favourite things about it, and something we maintained when we updated it; it has a great flow through from the front door to the backyard.

A pull-out sofa provides additional sleeping space, making it idea for tv viewing.

You will have full access to the entire property, offering plenty of spots to sit, relax, and unwind. Enjoy meditation platforms surrounded by wildflowers, unique wood features and an outdoor bathtub for a truly peaceful experience. (add seaweed if you like!) A trail leads directly to the private beach, where you can search for sea glass and rocks or take the kayak our for a paddle.
