I live locally in Orono, Maine, about 45 minutes away. The rest of the resort staff and I often work at the property during the day, but rest assured that your cabin and stay are entirely private. Our housekeeping and maintenance staff live nearby as well, should you need anything at all.

You have access to the Lobster cabin, one of nine unique cabins at the Getogether Stays cabin resort. You have access to the waterfront of Toddy Pond. Kayaks are available for use, and stairs down to the water with a small beach to enjoy. Guests have access to the entire cabin and all shared amenities of the resort. Your cabin includes its own grill, fire pit, picnic table, and Adirondack chairs. Only the kayaks and the waterfront are shared. There are five different places to enjoy the waterfront between the nine cabins. Enjoy a morning paddle on the pond with our complimentary kayaks, gather around your fire pit in the evening, or relax on the dock with a good book. Free parking is available on the premises. Remember to be kind and considerate of your cabin neighbors who are also there to enjoy the serenity of nature. Quiet time is after 10 pm.

The Space

This newly remodeled Maine & Lobster themed tiny cabin is nestled among the tall pine tree shoreline of Toddy Pond. The cabin is located in the back row of cabins, as seen on the map in the listing images. You will love this Lobster themed tiny cabin! Tucked away in a 9-cabin resort on the beautiful gravel shores of Toddy Pond, you’ll have the opportunity to swim and kayak in the crystal-clear water, relax at the shady picnic tables beneath the towering pine trees, view local wildlife, enjoy at-home necessities, and easily access nearby towns! This is truly a special and unforgettable place! Bring your pets, we are very pet-friendly. You can escape the heat and cold in the cabin with the brand new central air conditioning and heating units.

This tiny cabin is 14x14ft wide and has one main room, a bathroom, a screened-in porch, and a yard. On one side, there is a queen-size bed and a bunk bed. A kitchenette and a small dining area with two chairs are on the other wall of the cabin. There is an attached and fully remodeled bathroom. The bathroom is small but equipped! Brand-new stand-up shower, toilet, and vanity. Out the front door is a marvelous screened porch with another dining table. Outside is a 6 ft picnic table, a fire pit, a gas grill, and plenty of Adirondack chairs for your group.

LINENS: We provide sheets, quilts, pillows, towels, hand towels, face towels, and beach towels

CONSUMABLES: We provide salt, pepper, oil, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and hand soap. We ask that people bring their own personal hygiene products to their preferences (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothpaste, etc)

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS: 1 Queen Bed, 2 twin beds (bunks)

KITCHEN: Fully equipped, electric cooktop, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, cooking basics, dishware, utensils

PARKING: There is a large, shared gravel driveway. One vehicle is permitted for the Lobster cabin. Parking is not directly next to the cabin. There is a spot to park and unload 50 feet from the cabin. From there, vehicles are moved to the parking lot, which is about 100 feet away. It is a steep hill down to the cabin from the unloading spot

ACCESSIBILITY: The resort is not the most accessible place for anyone with mobility challenges. There are stairs to access the building from the path. Parking is on an incline, and there are stairs to the cabin entrance, with a downhill slope from the driveway to the cabin door

PETS: We are pet-friendly! We have simple pet rules: clean up after your pet (inside and outside the cabin), keep your pet leashed while outside at all times to avoid any issues with other pets, and do not leave pets alone in the cabins

Lobster cabin is located in Orland, Maine. Right on the shores of Toddy Pond, you’re also less than 20 minutes from many beautiful coastal Maine towns and around 45 minutes to Acadia National Park.

Getting There
You'll want a car to explore the surrounding area, but you'll also have everything you need to enjoy a week right at the cabin. This area of Maine does not have a consistent ride-sharing service. If you need help coordinating transportation, let me know ahead of time. There is only enough parking for this cabin to park one car on site.

There were 4 kayaks and a canoe for us to enjoy and we certainly made good use of them. Caught a few nice bass and some sunfish too. The house is located off a dirt road, so that was a bit of a surprise, but it is well-kept. Neighboring houses are pretty close too, but nobody was in them most of the time we were there so it was quiet. Beds and couch were comfy and the only issue we had was a lack of hot water in the upstairs shower (which was quickly addressed by the owner). Enjoyed the firepit too! All-in-all a fantastic place on a beautiful Maine lake with owners who really seem to care about their guests."

This historical building was originally built and operated as a school in the early 1900's. The Freemasons took ownership of it in the 60's and in late 2022, we purchased it to give it a new lease on life. Lovingly restored from the ground up, we have taken what we believe are the original school rooms on the second floor and transformed them into luxury suites, catering to guests that want to enjoy where they rest and sleep as much as they are enjoying exploring the mid-coast of Maine. The property is a lovingly restored large brick building with a grand shared entrance. Guests will need to climb a large flight of stairs with their luggage to the suites as they are all on the second floor. On the second floor there are 3 generous suites, all available to rent as vacation rentals. They are all uniquely decorated and completely renovated. As well as the entrance hall, there are 2 communal large hallway spaces where you may see other guests and a laundry room with a washer, dryer and ironing facilities that all guests are welcome to use. The property is sadly not suited to children or individuals with mobility issues. Guests are welcome to store luggage in the entrance hall downstairs if they have a late arrival or early departure to avoid disturbing other guests. Once up the stairs there are two large hallways and a laundry room that all guests are welcome to use, though we ask that everyone is considerate of noise disturbances for other guests who may be resting. Each suite has an individual key for use during their stay. We recommend locking your suite door when inside and when out for the day. You are welcome to leave your door key on the property if you do not feel comfortable taking it with you. Let us know if this is the case and we will tell you where to put it. We will always respond via the inbox as soon as possible. We do live onsite but work from home so prefer not to be disturbed in person, but you may see us coming and going and we are always happy to chat or come and assist if there is an issue with your suite. We are located directly above our waterfront walkway. This is approximately one mile walk on a brick lined and landscaped path along the river. There are picnic tables scattered along the way with one just off the back of our building.

The appliances and climate control systems up to date and work perfectly. The porch overlooking the front of the house faces east, making it a wonderful place to enjoy the evening air. We had friends visit us during our stay and they also raves about both the house and the lake. My wife and I love open floor plans and we get along very well with each other. If you find yourself in a tense situation with your co-resident, there’s a spacious bathroom with a larger shower one of you can skull away to. 😉 Bottom line: we would definitely stay at The Loft when we are in the area."

The Freemasons took ownership of it in the 60's and in late 2022, we purchased it to give it a new lease on life. Lovingly restored from the ground up, we have taken what we believe are the original school rooms on the second floor and transformed them into luxury suites, catering to guests that want to enjoy where they rest and sleep as much as they are enjoying exploring the mid-coast of Maine. The property is a lovingly restored large brick building with a grand shared entrance. Guests will need to climb a large flight of stairs with their luggage to the suites as they are all on the second floor. On the second floor there are 3 generous suites, all available to rent as vacation rentals. They are all uniquely decorated and completely renovated. As well as the entrance hall, there are 2 communal large hallway spaces where you may see other guests and a laundry room with a washer, dryer and ironing facilities that all guests are welcome to use. The property is sadly not suited to children or individuals with mobility issues. Guests are welcome to store luggage in the entrance hall downstairs if they have a late arrival or early departure to avoid disturbing other guests. Once up the stairs there are two large hallways and a laundry room that all guests are welcome to use, though we ask that everyone is considerate of noise disturbances for other guests who may be resting. Each suite has an individual key for use during their stay. We recommend locking your suite door when inside and when out for the day. You are welcome to leave your door key on the property if you do not feel comfortable taking it with you. Let us know if this is the case and we will tell you where to put it. We will always respond via the inbox as soon as possible. We do live onsite but work from home so prefer not to be disturbed in person, but you may see us coming and going and we are always happy to chat or come and assist if there is an issue with your suite. We do retire early so any messages received after 9pm will be responded to the next day. Bucksport, Maine is a very peaceful town right on the Penobscot river. Our property is one block away from the waterfront with its walkway, perfect for ambling along and enjoying unparalleled views of The Penosbcot Narrows Bridge and Fort Knox. Lobster boat tours can take you out on the water, you can stand in line for the local famous ice cream take out window, grab a glass of wine in a secret little courtyard bar, buy coffee and books at the local bookstore or take in a movie, all just steps away from the property. Bucksport is also an incredible central location for exploring Mid-coast Maine with Belfast, Bangor and Ellsworth all around 25 minutes drive, and with Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park just 35 minutes away. An easy commute to a bustling area with respite at the end of your day of exploring the rugged coast and picture perfect towns. So we are strategically located for you to discover the wonders of the Maine coast.

You can rest comfortably on a king-size bed in the master bedroom and a queen-size bed with a twin trundle in the 2nd bedroom. There is a full bathroom with shower/tub combo located between the two bedrooms. The water comes from a fresh water drilled well, so there is no need to depend on lake water.We provide basic soaps and shampoo, towels, beach towels, bed linens , toilet paper and paper towels, salt, pepper, oil, sugar and some spices, a lobster pot, a blender and kettle, beach chairs, outdoor furniture, and a fire pit.

Guests of our 3Havens all have shared private access to the dock and swimming platform.We recommend guests use water shoes when wading in the lake. Both Cozy and Toddy Havens share a new laundry facility behind the upper garage that has two washers and two dryers. Facility is available and free for use from between 3:30 and 10pm.

Each unit has its own fire pit and free use of 2 kayaks and a canoe (a liability waiver must be signed for use). We provide approved life jackets. Wood for fireplaces can be purchased at the Hannaford supermarket or at various roadside stands. Prices range from $5 to $7 per package. The dock enters the lake the 2-3rd week of May and is removed the 1st week of November.

Parking for 2 vehicles is available next to the Toddy Haven entrance. Four-wheel drive vehicles are required to drive down the driveway. For vehicles not equipped with all-wheel drive, there is an unloading area near the Rocky Haven steps and parking for one car in the upper condo parking area where the owners reside.

Our other two vacation rentals are Cozy Haven, a private cabin with 1 1/2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, sleeps up to 7 people. And Rocky Haven, our largest cabin, a home away from home comes with an in home private washer/dryer and includes a dishwasher and sleeps up to 8 people.

Each of our Cottages come with additional essentials and amenities that may not be listed in certain platforms. Some of these are:

Overnight basics: Basic soaps, Shampoo & conditioner, paper towels, toilet paper, a baby gate when interior stairs are present, free internet & WiFi at 64 Mbps.

Kitchen and dining area: A large pot, blender, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, interior dining area and screened in dining area each seating 6 comfortably.

Entertainment: A smart TV & Roku player w/Fubo streaming service, some games and water toys for children, 2 kayaks and 1 canoe with varying sizes of life vests and paddles. Toddy Haven has a 9 foot professional pool table.

NOTE: Just a reminder that no animals are allowed on our properties due to family members with severe asthma issues. No exceptions.

The space
1812 Pierce House is a unique home on the National Register of Historic Places. Full of antiques & modern touches. If you like interesting places to stay, this is for you! If you like straight lines & central air, we recommend a hotel.

A private entrance with your own entry hall, bedroom w/ table, closet, & small hall leading to the bathroom w/ shower. Small fridge with freezer, hot water kettle, coffee/tea, 2 electric burners, toaster & microwave. Firepit in large yard. Close walk to river.

This home is a great jumping off point and central location to many incredible Maine locations.

The entrance, suite, and bathroom are all yours. We have many guests who use the suite and never enter the main part of the house. Keep in mind that I live here with my children. We are fairly neat but not perfectionist.

The suite is equipped with a microwave, two electric burners, a hot water kettle, and small fridge with freezer, but you are welcome to use the shared kitchen or outdoor grill or fire ring. We just ask that you clean up after yourself in shared spaces.

This house is unique and full of character. Keep in mind that due to its age, it’s not perfect. We’ve upgraded a lot and we enjoy its charm. We hope you do too!

This 2-bedroom in-law apartment with private key code entrance, situated over a 4 car garage and requires climbing a flight of stairs to reach, so people with mobility issues should keep that in mind. There is a deck with a table and two chairs attached to the Master Bedroom. The main house has a patio garden around back that guests are welcome to enjoy. Just added a window AC to the master bedroom.

We are located in a wooded area, but just off a road that heads straight into Bangor. Your space is totally private from the main house, although you may see or hear the hosts having a cookout or enjoying the back garden in good weather. You're welcome to join us if you do see us down there, but there is no obligation to do so. You have your own exclusive and private second floor deck for your own use.
