The downstairs of this historic building has been the working local post office since 1931. Upstairs, insulated from any noise of a small village meeting place, is the open loft style apartment, with soaring cathedral ceilings. Designed and decorated like a historic Maine cottage. Comfortably furnished, this property is the perfect romantic getaway. A great location, with amenities close by.

The modern, cozy kitchen will support all of your cooking needs. Plenty of inside dining areas, as well as dining al fresco on the deck, right next to the kitchen. The loft and cupola are private retreats for children in your party, just like sleeping in a tree house! There's a separate entrance to the room and a private bathroom attached to this bedroom. It's totally separate from my living space. I'm located in mid coast Maine near Damariscotta, Camden, Rockland, Augusta, etc. There is heat and WiFi a microwave a kettle, coffee maker, TV and refrigerator and other items for your convenience. It is not a kitchen but as many amenities as I can accommodate. You are welcome here to enjoy the privacy, comfort and convenience here.

I've set up a table and chairs for dining and a very comfy chair for reading also a desk and there is WIFI. The queen size bed is very comfortable and there's a down comforter too. The mattress on the bed is high. There's plenty of lighting and I clean the room thoroughly and change all linens, etc.

This room is completely separate from my living space. It is easily accessible through my side door.

I'm trying to be as safe as I can be for myself and my guests. I am, however, home most of the time and available for any special needs that you may have during your stay.

The cabin is RUSTIC. There is NO electricity there yet, though we will setup solar panels soon. No running water or plumbing. We do bring in water for you to drink and the wash station. The toileting is a bucket compost system (We take care of the buckets for you)

Cabin guests have the opportunity to rent a kayak or stand up paddle boards from us for an additional fee ($30/piece/day) We can deliver them to Lincolnville Beach or Lake Megunticook for you.

You are also welcome to book a full body massage or private yoga session at our studio, off the main house, for a guest rate of $75/session. Ask about Sacred Temple Lomi offerings for women!

* Masha is a massage therapist yoga instructor and may be available to book a full body integrative massage or private/group yoga class in our at-home studio, if you inquire in advance. She practices Swedish deep tissue, sports massage, lymphatic clearing, craniosacral, Reiki, and Lomi Lomi for women.

The space
Trinity Cottage is an entire house with two bedrooms, full bath and laundry. A king size bed in the master bedroom and a queen in the guest room. A smart TV (remember to bring your Netflix/ HULU/Amazon or other app account info). A full kitchen with microwave, and toaster.

Deer Isle Hostel is on a bridge-accessed island. It is part of an owner-built homestead featuring a seventeenth-century style house, forest huts and single rooms. Join us for $20 dinner on Saturday evenings at 6:30, which you may reserve by 12pm on the day of the dinner. Text us if you want to reserve dinner the day you arrive!

The space
A small room with a single bed for one person. It’s located in a small cottage that contains the hostel guest kitchen and another private single room. This building has a fair amount of activity and you'll definitely hear other people. That said, it's central location means more interaction with other guests. A composting toilet restroom with electric light is only 40 ft away.

No pets are allowed in this room.

Showers, composting toilet restrooms, fire pit and kitchen are all communal.

The hostel is beside a seaside nature preserve with trails.

During your stay
One of our hosts or the owner, Dennis, are usually working on the grounds. We're always excited to meet new people and are usually available in the morning and evenings to help guests, give recommendations or short property tours, and get to know you. We also have three dogs which love to greet you, go on walks, and keep you company.

Check in is from 4pm - 9pm; please make every attempt to arrive during those hours.

If you're interested in meeting other travelers and hanging out around the fire or dinner table, then this hostel is the perfect place for you. At the same time, if you're looking for some private, quiet time in a beautiful forest getaway, our hostel is big enough that there's always somewhere to withdraw to for a little forest bathing.

Welcome to the “East Wing”! The complete apartment is new: salt box style with beautiful views of nature (hummingbirds, fireflies, starry skies). The East Wing is first to greet the sun in the morning. Enjoy your coffee on the private deck, or sip wine at night by the fire pit. Close to Tanglewood Rd (4H camp) , Camden Hills State Park trails, and Lincolnville Beach(1 -2 miles).
The area is quiet- yet just a few miles away from shopping and restaurants in Camden, Belfast, & Rockland.

The space
Although connected to the main house- this one bedroom guest suite is private - with a separate entrance and foyer. The first floor features a full kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, cooking utensils and kitchen supplies ) with small living area (upholstered chairs/TV) and spacious bathroom. The 2nd floor bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed with a large window overlooking woodland views - plenty of room to stretch out, and plenty of storage space. A private deck looks out on the large, meandering back yard. Fast wi-fi speeds throughout the apartment, and a desk set in the foyer. Depending upon your provider, cell phone service may be spotty. Plenty of parking. Quiet road. You are minutes away from excellent hiking trails and sandy Lincolnville Beach. Reconnect with nature in Lincolnville, Maine!

Guest access
Park in front of the East Wing (near hydrangea/juniper garden) for easy access. Extra parking to the left of the garage. Enter through the door situated between the two buildings - salt box structure on the left is the rental (gambrel house on right is the host's home). Lock box holds key for access to the apartment.

Other things to note
The bedroom is outfitted with one queen sized bed. There is a roll out twin sized bed for a third guest or can be set out by special request (For example - when a parent is traveling with a child, or two friends traveling together). Also, please note that the bedroom is on the second floor and the bathroom is on the first floor.

New this year is a love seat sleeper sofa in the living room. This is also a twin sleeper (perfect for a 2nd child, or a parent who wants to be on the same floor as the bathroom). The bed set up is not suitable for 2 couples, as there is not enough room in the downstairs to set up the two single beds. If there are four people staying - 3 would be upstairs, and 1 would be downstairs. Perfect for a couple traveling with 2 children.

There is no tub- but the shower is wide.

Beach towels and a cooler are available for your trip to the beach. The beach is only 2 miles away!
