A 28 acre property featuring pasture, woods, streams, ponds, an old apple orchard and a wild blueberry patch.

Our barn studio features one bunkbed (full and twin), a kitchenette, a dining table and chairs. There is NO RUNNING WATER. No shower. Drinking water is provided and a tank to wash off above a sink.
We limit stays to 3 days max.

Guests are free to explore the land and hang out with our animals. We have horses in the pastures, goats in an enclosure, peafowls in a pen and the rest of the animals are free ranging: geese, turkeys, ducks and chickens.

This home is a great jumping off point and central location to many incredible Maine locations.

The entrance, suite, and bathroom are all yours. We have many guests who use the suite and never enter the main part of the house. Keep in mind that I live here with my children. We are fairly neat but not perfectionist.

The suite is equipped with a microwave, two electric burners, a hot water kettle, and small fridge with freezer, but you are welcome to use the shared kitchen or outdoor grill or fire ring. We just ask that you clean up after yourself in shared spaces.

This house is unique and full of character. Keep in mind that due to its age, it’s not perfect. We’ve upgraded a lot and we enjoy its charm. We hope you do too!

I would like to welcome you to a cozy, quiet, bayside apartment. This spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bath can sleep 6. Two comfy queen beds, a daybed with trundle on the cantilevered porch overlooking the bay. Beautiful views make for a relaxing stay.

You are a short 30 minute ride from many locations that are popular here in Maine. Also a beautiful 45 to 60 minutes ride down Coastal Route 1, brings you to places like Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Camden, Rockport, & Rockland and much more.
The space
This is a spacious apartment that has two large bedrooms. Each of these have a queen size bed. A well equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar looking out to the breath taking view. The kitchen, dining, living room, and cantilever porch is a beautifully comfortable open concept.
Guest access
This whole apartment is available for your convenience. I have a couple of storage closets that will be locked.
Other things to note
We are located directly above our waterfront walkway. This is approximately one mile walk on a brick lined and landscaped path along the river. There are picnic tables scattered along the way with one just off the back of our building.

This historical building was originally built and operated as a school in the early 1900's. The Freemasons took ownership of it in the 60's and in late 2022, we purchased it to give it a new lease on life. Lovingly restored from the ground up, we have taken what we believe are the original school rooms on the second floor and transformed them into luxury suites, catering to guests that want to enjoy where they rest and sleep as much as they are enjoying exploring the mid-coast of Maine. The property is a lovingly restored large brick building with a grand shared entrance. Guests will need to climb a large flight of stairs with their luggage to the suites as they are all on the second floor. On the second floor there are 3 generous suites, all available to rent as vacation rentals. They are all uniquely decorated and completely renovated. As well as the entrance hall, there are 2 communal large hallway spaces where you may see other guests and a laundry room with a washer, dryer and ironing facilities that all guests are welcome to use. The property is sadly not suited to children or individuals with mobility issues. Guests are welcome to store luggage in the entrance hall downstairs if they have a late arrival or early departure to avoid disturbing other guests. Once up the stairs there are two large hallways and a laundry room that all guests are welcome to use, though we ask that everyone is considerate of noise disturbances for other guests who may be resting. Each suite has an individual key for use during their stay. We recommend locking your suite door when inside and when out for the day. You are welcome to leave your door key on the property if you do not feel comfortable taking it with you. Let us know if this is the case and we will tell you where to put it. We will always respond via the inbox as soon as possible. We do live onsite but work from home so prefer not to be disturbed in person, but you may see us coming and going and we are always happy to chat or come and assist if there is an issue with your suite. Guests of our 3Havens all have shared private access to the dock and swimming platform.We recommend guests use water shoes when wading in the lake. Both Cozy and Toddy Havens share a new laundry facility behind the upper garage that has two washers and two dryers. Facility is available and free for use from between 3:30 and 10pm.

Each unit has its own fire pit and free use of 2 kayaks and a canoe (a liability waiver must be signed for use). We provide approved life jackets. Wood for fireplaces can be purchased at the Hannaford supermarket or at various roadside stands. Prices range from $5 to $7 per package. The dock enters the lake the 2-3rd week of May and is removed the 1st week of November.

Parking for 2 vehicles is available next to the Toddy Haven entrance. Four-wheel drive vehicles are required to drive down the driveway. For vehicles not equipped with all-wheel drive, there is an unloading area near the Rocky Haven steps and parking for one car in the upper condo parking area where the owners reside.

Our other two vacation rentals are Cozy Haven, a private cabin with 1 1/2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, sleeps up to 7 people. And Rocky Haven, our largest cabin, a home away from home comes with an in home private washer/dryer and includes a dishwasher and sleeps up to 8 people.

Guests are welcome to store luggage in the entrance hall downstairs if they have a late arrival or early departure to avoid disturbing other guests. Once up the stairs there are two large hallways and a laundry room that all guests are welcome to use, though we ask that everyone is considerate of noise disturbances for other guests who may be resting. Each suite has an individual key for use during their stay. We recommend locking your suite door when inside and when out for the day. You are welcome to leave your door key on the property if you do not feel comfortable taking it with you. Let us know if this is the case and we will tell you where to put it. We will always respond via the inbox as soon as possible. We do live onsite but work from home so prefer not to be disturbed in person, but you may see us coming and going and we are always happy to chat or come and assist if there is an issue with your suite. We do retire early so any messages received after 9pm will be responded to the next day. Bucksport, Maine is a very peaceful town right on the Penobscot river. Our property is one block away from the waterfront with its walkway, perfect for ambling along and enjoying unparalleled views of The Penosbcot Narrows Bridge and Fort Knox. Lobster boat tours can take you out on the water, you can stand in line for the local famous ice cream take out window, grab a glass of wine in a secret little courtyard bar, buy coffee and books at the local bookstore or take in a movie, all just steps away from the property. Bucksport is also an incredible central location for exploring Mid-coast Maine with Belfast, Bangor and Ellsworth all around 25 minutes drive, and with Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park just 35 minutes away. An easy commute to a bustling area with respite at the end of your day of exploring the rugged coast and picture perfect towns. There are stairs to the entrance and stairs once inside to your suite. It’s easy walking distance to everything downtown. No car, no problem. 10 minutes drive from BGR / Bangor airport, 5 minutes from I-95, 1 hour to Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park. Shaws Supermarket and Dunkin’ are next door.

This is a spacious 900 ft.² one bedroom 1.5 bath unit. It includes the entire second floor of the house. It has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, office space, living room, and bedroom. Outside has a large deck with a view of the river and off street parking for one car.

If you are going to a concert or event at the Maine Savings Amphitheater, this is as close as you can get. The venue is right across the street.

It’s an older home, built in 1900. The house is clean, comfortable, and lived in. It shows it’s age in places. If you’re looking for shiny new construction or a brand new rehab, this may not be your spot. Renovations are always ongoing.

The bed has a new king-size mattress, 100% cotton sheets, and is super comfortable. Other furnishings are a mix of new and vintage stuff I’ve collected.

There are 2 units in the building, the owner/host lives onsite.

Off street parking for one car is included.

This is a private unit , you will not be sharing it with anybody else. The only common or shared spaces are the deck and entryway.

I live on site. I would be glad to meet in person if I am around, but it is not necessary.

Parking is tight, I cannot accommodate more than one vehicle without prior arrangement.

You will need to back out of the parking area, there is no room to turn around.

Other things to note
Be aware this neighborhood is a very busy city service district.

The fire department is next-door. The police station is across the street. The house overlooks busy Main Street. You can expect some sirens and traffic noise.

Also, there is a large homeless population in downtown Bangor. The shelter is nearby. You will see a lot of people living outdoors around here. Problems are rare, it is very well lit at night and safe for walking anytime with normal precautions.

Everything downtown is within walking distance. You can easily get by without a car if needed. There’s a large Shaws supermarket and a Dunkin next-door. The Bangor waterfront park is across the street.

Late check-in's are never a problem, I'll make arrangements to leave the key out. Late check out may be an option depending on occupancy. Please ask first.

Parking is tight. Message me if you need additional space.

Outskirts of Orono, space has an upstairs sleeping loft, with a low-ish ceiling and very comfy bed. The bathroom has a shower, the kitchen has a hot plate, microwave/convection, ‘fridge, and there is a large main room downstairs. Windows everywhere, and an AC unit in summer. Less than 20 minutes walk to restaurants, Ampersand’s grocery, and hiking. UMaine is our chief attraction but we are 20 min drive from the Bangor Waterfront. Arrive at 3 pm and leave at 10 am, but we are flexible.

The unit is a recently renovated and expanded garage which now has a large open room downstairs that we use for art projects and yoga when guests are not present. A cot could be set up downstairs for a third guest if desired. Upstairs is the sleeping loft, which peaks at a 5’ roof, and has a chair, windows, and a very comfy bed. Downstairs has a comfy couch, extra chairs, folding table, a loveseat, a microwave/convection oven, hot plate, and coffee stations. We also provide art supplies. The unit shares part of a wall with the main house, separated by a locked door. Guests don’t have to see us unless they want to meet!

We have a dog and two cats, though they don’t enter the unit. We clean thoroughly between guests with clean sheets and towels. Life is too short to iron the sheets. Pets are fine, with a $25 cleaning fee after pet stays to adequately remove their hair, though probably not perfectly. People with pet allergies might want pet free units that are available elsewhere in Orono.

Our yard is coming along, with new plantings of berry bushes, bee and butterfly friendly plantings, apple trees, roses and wildflowers. Feel free to roam about!

We also have a dog friendly backyard fence. Please watch your dog and pick up after them, and make sure our dogs are not out. There will be some barking because … dogs.

There is a handbook on the counter that lists more, and tells you where to leave the sheets.

Guest access
Entrance is private and the entire separate space is available. The porch behind the house is also available on which to sit and relax, and there are spots in the garden to sit. We are pet friendly, but have found that we must do extra cleaning after their stay, so we are charging a $25 pet cleaning fee that gets billed through Airbnb after the stay.

Other things to note
We've learned from our first guest that GPS does not always work in Maine. Basically, we are a one main street town (Main Street). The houses by us are numbered sequentially from 292, 290, 288, 286. We are the only red house in that region and the driveway is after a yellow diamond sign that says "Trucks Entering." (They aren't). Sometimes the snow covers the house numbers, but we are the only red house on a bit of a hill. The number is on the mailbox, which has a red post.

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. You can walk or take a short Uber to the waterfront concerts or any of the downtown restaurants and bars. this is a beautiful third floor apartment with a large 8 x 10 deck, washer, and dryer in unit brand new appliances with an air fryer in the stove and granite countertops, the bed is super comfy. Heat/ac pump in the LR and bedroom also 2 tvs, WiFi is fiber and super fast.

Beautiful 2 bedroom 2nd floor apartment. Hardwood floors, new appliances and updated bathroom. Off street parking, private entrance, Wifi , washer and dryer in the apartment. Close to downtown, 2 miles to Northern Lights Medical Center and a half mile to St. Josephs Hospital. On the bus route, Uber, and town taxis available.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. This is a charming studio apartment. The rental space is a separate apartment attached to the house but with total privacy. There is a deck that overlooks a lovely backyard. And the property is located only one mile from Rt. 1. At that location you'll find Fort Knox and the Penobscot Narrows Observatory which are worth the visit.
Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are an hour away!!

The space
The apartment is located on the second floor over the garage. There is an outdoor flight of steps with a private deck at the top of the landing. The apartment is sunny with the living room opening up to a small kitchen. To the left is the bedroom with a closet and the bathroom with a bathtub/shower. The space is comfortable for 1 or 2 guests.
Note: I will have to deny any bookings that includes a young child due to the safety issues on the deck.

Guest access
Guests will have a completely private space located on the second floor over the garage. Access requires ascending a standard flight of stars. There is a key lock box on the door handle to enter.

Other things to note
I have a black cat named Cleo that you might see. She's friendly and often approaches guests for some TLC. She likes to roll around in the dirt driveway and have her belly scratched.
