- "Wow! Your stay is in a historic mansion, built by the Mayor of St. John in the late 1800's. We had a beautiful suite on the third floor with original windows and floors. The bathroom has not been upgraded, but I didn't mind. The building is blocks from downtown St. John, easy to walk to the downtown museums and restaurants. Only issue is parking. There is none on site. You can park with a permit that you can buy (the hotel will hook it up for you) which allows overnight on-street parking."

The rental is very large. It has a lot of beautiful features, high ceilings, gorgeous woodwork, and tons of space. It is also walking distance to the cities best food and drink.

Located on Princess St just on the edge of Uptown Saint John is our cozy little studio stay perfect place to lay your head after a day exploring what our area has to offer. Close to Area 506 and the uptown core there no shortage of things to do and see well you stay here. Amazing restaurants and entertainment and seconds away from the door.

It was up to us to figure it out and nowhere on site or online does it say that you cannot park overnight on week days- street signs totally misleading as they contradict each other! So beware! Got parking tickets!!!" - "I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this unit is. The first impression from the outside and going down the hall for me, a single, older woman, was kind of scary. I would say this is a great place for younger guests who are used to the city and dealing with lots of traffic, steep hills for the roads, and a crazy parking situation. The unit is quiet, and the shower is great! But be prepared for a very "interesting" neighborhood. The people I met and chatted with were very nice, but my one recommendation would be to invest in even ONE paid parking space for your guests. I would not have minded paying a little more per night if this was added in and clearly stipulated where to park. Just my two cents worth."

We took a walk one day and it was great seeing so many historical properties in the neighborhood. The owner was very attentive and helpful from booking to departure. Our central location in the Uptown SJ area offers walking distance to TD Station, Canada Games Aquatic Centre, The Imperial Theatre, as well as the Saint John City Market, all within a 3-5minute walk! The two-story suite can accommodate up to 15 guests, with 2 King beds in loft, 1 Queen bed in each of the two main floor bedrooms, 1 Queen sofa-bed in living room, and 3 single fold out cots, 1 Child Cot and 1 “pack and play” with changing table for infants. Combo washer/dryer machine is in the unit as well as a work desk.
The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, as well as the essentials for guests to make meals;
breakfast, (eggs, milk, bacon, cream, pancake & crepe mixes, whole grain & white bread, oatmeal, coffee & tea),
lunch, (soup, bread & crackers, ramen, KD, canned fish)

This unit offers in unit laundry, one bedroom with a double bed, and the option of additional sleeping space on the living room pullout couch. Blankets, sheets, and pillows for the pull out couch are located in the couch compartment under the cushions.
The recently refreshed kitchen is well equipped with a fair amount of counter space and great lighting.
The bathroom is a 3/4 bath and was recently redone to offer a more convenient access to the bedroom.
In the living room you will find plenty of seating, a desk for your work from home or browsing needs, and a 50” television with Rogers TV.

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and a very short drive from Costco, McAllister Shopping Centre, Wal-Mart, Sobeys, and other major retailers. The house features a basement style apartment, a shared driveway, and the owner of the home lives upstairs on the main floor. No smoking, pets, partying, lewd behavior, excessive drinking, substance abuse (zero tolerance for it), or loud noises. We have a set of simple rules and ask that the space be respected and kept clean at all times.

Saint John was ranked fifth safest city in Canada in 2023. We mention this because there are people from a low economic bracket very visible in the community.This does not however translate to any issues around our building and nearby.

Furry guests are welcome! We charge a pet fee of $40 per stay, per booking—not per pet, as I’m a pet owner myself and understand the need for fairness. When booking, simply select "pets" in the reservation details, and the fee will be automatically included. We look forward to hosting you and your furry companions!
