At 4:30 pm all work ceases and the evening quiet takes over. Kick back with a cocktail, fire up the barbeque or take a late day paddle on the mirror flat water along the shore.

This place will appeal to anyone who loves boats and is curious about what a working boatyard is like. There are regular sightings of seals, porpoise and many varieties of coastal birds, especially in the quiet evenings.

As the surrounding area is a public business the grounds and wharf are available to guests, however, it is advised to use caution and awareness when boats are being moved about on land.

The host greeted us as we arrived, and gave us helpful comments about the ac/heat, the tv, and property. In retrospect as most in their 40s and older are not as intuitive as millennials and genders, it would be helpful to have a simple instruction outline on the tv and ac/heat. On our own we were able to adjust the ac/heat to our liking, and able to watch Netflicks on the open subscription, but we never did figure out how to get to the cable tv(?). A channel listing would be helpful. First world problem, and otherwise a very nice accommodation about 10 minutes door to the port street in Lunesburg. Suggest the owner also provide a printed sheet of expectations and instructions as to how he expects the visitor(s) to close up."

- "Property was as detailed & pictured. We were actually eating at A & W Restaurant when my husband did GPS for the property & we realized we were right next door! The steps to the second floor bedrooms may be a challenge for some, & you must be careful not to hit your head on low-sloped ceiling at one spot in bathroom (we just placed the provided clothes basket in that spot as a reminder, & it worked well!) It was great having access to a washer & dryer in the basement, & the location was good for exploring the area. We enjoyed the cool breezes through the sliding balcony doors & wanted to people watch from the little sitting area out front, but we just weren't there long enough!"

The Lake House is a unique vacation home located on Fancy Lake, Nova Scotia. It offers marvellous lakeviews that you can enjoy from a jacuzzi in the top floor apartment.

The space
This architecturally designed house is different to the traditional Cape Cod homes you might expect in the Maritimes Area, while incorporating modern elements like open concept living spaces and floor to ceiling windows. Immediately upon entering, the eye is drawn to the expansive windows, which seem to bring the outdoors into this home.

You’ll be renting the top floor apartment, with a great view of the lake. It is the Honeymoon Sweet and refers to the same open concept including a living area, a newly equipped dream kitchen, a bedroom and a 4-piece bathroom inlcuding a sweet Jacuzzi with a very nice view of the lake.

So whether you are dining alfresco on the balcony or simply relaxing listening to the nature, it is hard to escape the sense of peace and tranquility.

The shallow Lake waters, warmed by the sun, make it an excellent time for swimming, body surfing, or for simply relaxing!

For theatre , fine dining, museums, shops and other attractions, Bridgewater is approximately 10 minutes away; while Lockeport with its beautiful Crescent Beach is a 15 minutes drive. Halifax is 1,5 hours, the UNESCO town of Lunenburg , Peggy’s Cove and Whale watching in Digby are all pleasant day trips.

‘The bay to bay trail’ situated opposite the property. Perfect for morning run/walk/bike through nature :)
‘Sunny brook mill market’ is a few minutes walk along the oceanfront , to pick up a few local delicacies, whilst enjoying the views of the farm animals and seafront.

There is a private entrance with a downstairs hall for coats and boots. You walk up a set of Chinese Red Steps to the second level apartment. There is a hallwayl here with a coat rack and a table for your keys and purse.
The bathroom has a nicely deep newly refurbished cast iron tub, that it so very comfortable. There is additional shelving for your toiletries and a new sink and toilet.
The kitchen has all new cabinetry with soft close drawers and a large pantry cabinet for all your food storage. There is a small table there that sits 3 comfortably which is on rolling legs , so can be moved out for more access if necessary. There is a patio door in the kitchen as well as a window so it is a bright and open feeling space. There are blinds on both the door and window to make it cozy at night. The patio door leads out to a small deck surrounded by trees. There is a table and 2 chairs with cushions there and the kitchen chairs can be moved out if additional seating is needed. There are stairs going off this level into the back yard that is your emergency exit They are quite high and this area is not for young children.

There are separate thermostats in each room for your comfort and convenience and a window air conditioner in the living room that cools the apartment nicely. Both bedroom have queen size beds with reading lights on each side of bed. The headboard incorporates a shelf on each side for your phone or tablet, books , water etc. There is space in each bedroom for clothing and personal belongings . There are both blinds and curtains for the amount of light and privacy you need.

Stevens Cove Guest Quarters is across the yard from a working marina and boat-building company. There will be business activity on the adjacent grounds daily from 7:30 to 4:30 on weekdays. South Shore Marine provides boat launching services, repairs, and houses the Marine Shop.

The apartment, although within the grounds of SS Marine is quite private with gorgeous views. At 4:30 pm all work ceases and the evening quiet takes over. Kick back with a cocktail, fire up the barbeque or take a late day paddle on the mirror flat water along the shore.

This place will appeal to anyone who loves boats and is curious about what a working boatyard is like. There are regular sightings of seals, porpoise and many varieties of coastal birds, especially in the quiet evenings.

The spacious high ceilinged apartment is newly built with traditional woodworking and has everything one needs for a lovely vacation. Welcome to Knot Awake River Place in the Heart of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

This Air BnB is a newly renovated, fully furnished, 2-bedroom nautical-themed apartment (approximately 800 SQFT). You can enjoy the comforts of home by preparing meals in the large eat-in Kitchen with a separate more formal Dining area. We offer a Keurig, kettle, toaster, Microwave, full array of cookware, utensils, dishes, and glassware. The basic condiments- salt, pepper, cooking oil, ketchup, mustard, relish, and sugar. There is complimentary coffee and a breakfast bar to get you started on your first day!

You can relax after a long day in the spacious living room, with 2 love seats and a plush area rug, a smart TV with a designated Air BnB prime profile, and free internet. Or have family time with games and puzzle in the wicker basket beside the TV.

The Bathroom is very clean and has lots of room to move. You can unwind with a hot shower or bath, with towels, washcloths, and a hair dryer provided. Complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and Body wash are provided. ( and of course hand soap and toilet paper)

Running out of clean clothes? not to worry there is a laundry nook with a full-size wash and dryer right in the apartment.

The master bedroom is large with a queen-sized bed, a full closet with a clothes iron, a mini Ironing board, bedside tables, and a dresser for storage.

The second bedroom has 2 matching twin beds, a bedside table, and an ottoman for storage.

Looking for Fresh Air, just step out onto the large patio for some great views of Bridgewater. There is a table and seating if you prefer to eat outside and enjoy the atmosphere that Bridgewater has to offer.

You have full private use of the self-contained 2-bedroom apartment, and free parking directly behind the building on the top of the hill ( please park in designated Air BnB parking as we also have a permanent tenant).

You have full access to half the patio, please respect our tenant and do not pass the tree line, you do NOT have access to the BBQ it is the private use of the tenant.

You can use the exterior emergency stairs off the patio to the parking lot, please keep in mind this is also accessible to the tenant.
