We have high speed wifi, a turntable and record collection, a wood stove, high-end linens and a detached bathhouse with running water and a beautiful shower.

For summer we offer a charcoal BBQ for use on the deck.

There are deck chairs outside and lots of places to hang out for evening meals or morning coffee.

The bathroom is built as a separate building a few steps across the deck from the main cabin. It has a nice glass shower with a big window looking out into the forest and two shower heads.

We have a hand built wood fired hot tub tucked in the woods by the river just steps from the cabin. The tub will be filled with water and we will have lit a fire for you to continue once you arrive. It's a bit of a labour of love, you will want to stoke the fire and stir the water every half hour for about 3-4 hours (depending on temperature) but once it gets warm it is a magical experience to float next to the river under the spruce branches!

The cabin is perfect for weekend retreats, romantic nights, anniversaries, winter getaways, celebrations, beach going summer holidays, escaping the city and spending time tucked in the forest. It is a great year-round escape.

Guests have full access to the entire property. We are not on the property and guests are given full privacy, self check in and self check out.

Garbage is collected from driveway garbage box Thursday mornings around 8am. No one will bother you or come near the cabin, they will just access the garbage box and compost bin in driveway.

West Dublin is a hidden gem on the south shore. It is a great mix of rural with all the amenities you need to make vacationing easy!

The cabin is close to great beaches, shops, and 35 minutes to Lunenburg. The cabin is just 5 minutes from the famous La Have Bakery, two minutes to Cresent or Rissers Beach and located at the base of La Have Islands - which are a sight to be seen!

We have coffeeshops near by, a local pub, a local corner store and liquor store, pizza place, bookstore, bakery, farmers market, beaches, fishing wharfs, surfing and even a skateboard shop.

The area has some of Nova Scotia's nicest beaches and the cabin is 35 minutes to Lunenburg and 25 minutes from Bridgewater.

Getting around is done by car usually, however Biking is also popular.

The cabin is located approximately 500 meters down a private gravel road.
Just confirming that guests recognize the bathroom is separate from the house and can be accessed by walking a short distance across the deck. Slip on shoes are provided for each stay and the deck and bathroom have nice lighting which can be turned on from the house.

Fireplace: the 1960's fireplace is wood burning and a fire will be built and ready for you to spark up when you wish. It creates great ambiance and can be seen from the kitchen, eating nook and living room

Kitchen: the kitchen is well stocked with sharp knives, full pots and pans, fun vintage cookware and table ware as well as everything you need to shuck oysters, crack open lobsters, mix up cocktails, drink wine, scoop out ice cream, create a charcuterie board and more. The stove is a high end gas range and an outside charcoal bbq is provided for the warmer months.

Coffee: we supply Local coffee as well as a French press and stove top espresso pot. There is also sugar cubes and tea available.

Bathroom: the bathroom has a beautiful walk in shower, a very large soaking tub and all the extra's you need to pamper yourself. It's glamourous.

Bedroom: the bedroom is a loft style, opening up to a private roof top deck. The queen mattress sits on a vintage teak bed and is adorned with high end linens, feather duvet and feather pillows. Sink right in.

Temperature control: the Aframe is built to be comfortable year round, with in-floor heat, large opening doors and windows and a heat pump offering AC and auxiliary heating.

Entertainment: we offer a curated record collection, blue tooth speaker, board games and coffee table books and wifi... plus the hot tub, views, and fireplace. You'll have lots to enjoy!

This place is custom built to be a totally private glamorous getaway. You will have access to the entire property and everything in it is curated for your holiday.

The grass is mowed on Mondays during the summer. A mowing company will come and be approximately 15 minutes to mow the grass

Snow is plowed and shovelled when needed.

The Aframe sits up a private road in the community of Dublin Shore. It is a beautiful area close to beaches, the ocean, cafes, a vineyard, farmer market, fishing wharfs

Most people use the car to get around. Although biking is also very popular in the area. You could rent bikes from lunenburg Bay shop if you wanted to. Or bring your own!

We are open to welcoming one dog to the place. The dog must be well trained, can not go on the furniture or the bed and you must pick up after your dog, even in the woods outside the Aframe. The dog cannot be left alone in the property unless crated. The dog can not go in the bathtub or hot tub. Please contact us if you'd like to bring your dog on the trip with you.

The BBQ is only available in the summer season.

- "Beautiful house and all around good stay -looks like personal project of an architect (though owner is not). Out of the way, so very quiet - but short drive to local stores and restaurants. Nice deck with hot tub (which we didn't get to use) and comfortable in every way. As the sun set we sat in the lower level with a glass of wine and good jazz on the phonograph. The only limitation - if your older be sure your ok with the bed being a flight up in a lift. We are in our 70s and it was fine, but some might not want to climb."

The space
The Big House is nestled against the treeline, with views in summer of trees, and the wild garden terraces.

Within 25 feet of the deck is an outhouse, which is relatively new and tidy, and is shared with other cabins on the land.

Up the loft ladder there is a room with a queen mattress.

A large loft space is adjacent to the bedroom, which when the space is not rented out, is used for community yoga, meditation, and music events. This room has a drum kit, piano and meditation cushions and is available for use while you are here.

There is wood heat from 2 woodstoves.
One is in the living room kitchen which you would maintain, with firewood provided. The other is in the shared mudroom and would be maintained by hosts (with your help!) to keep the studio warm.

There is no running water. Water for drinking is provided as well as rainwater for washing up and dishes. There is no shower or laundry in the cabin.

There is a sauna on the land that can be used during your visit.

The space
The inviting airy and newly remodelled queen bedroom has a full bright private ensuite bathroom with a shower, sun-drenched in the afternoon.

Enjoy large windows that can be opened for a nice cross-breeze and enchanting views of the pasture. Top-down blinds installed on all three windows offer comforting privacy.

The bedroom has high-quality linens and a high-quality mattress that our guests have raved about. Contemporary furnished and stylishly decorated this room has everything to make you feel at home – WiFi, Netflix, Prime, hairdryer, iron and more.

Our welcome package includes Lindor chocolate, water, coffee and tea in your room and the guest lounge and guest porch conveniently located on the same floor.

The spacious historic house offers two double rooms and one 2-bedroom suite, each spacious and with its own private ensuite bathroom, it sleeps 8 people. Ideal for couples, families or small groups to get away and connect.

We offer complimentary guest bikes and have easy access to the Rum Runners Trail, perfect for the outdoorsy and adventurous. Enjoy soothing views of the pasture from every room at our airy retreat.

You’ll be 200 feet from the water, where you can launch your kayak in the river that flows into Mahone Bay, about 1km down the river.

We live on the property in the same big farmhouse. However, the guest part is separate and has its own covered porch and entrance on the opposite side of the house.

The safety of our guests is always our highest priority. We have implemented enhanced cleaning measures to keep everybody safe.

Welcome to glamping with Annapurna.

A private cabin in the woods all to yourself and your fury friends. A short drive to the LaHave bakery and ferry to explore Lunenburg or a short drive over to Ploughman's bakery and the amazing Crescent beach (you can drive on).

The main floor is spacious with small kitchenette. Upstairs there is a queen size bed.

Power is supplied via EcoFlow battery bank charged via solar. There is no running water but supplied.

No smoking allowed inside or out.

The space
The cabin is at the back of the property.
I've got 6 acres of land surrounding by wetland marsh and quite heavily forested but feel free to wander into the woods and explore.

Deer frequently cross the property so you might see them doing their day to day business. Raccoons, porcupine, owls, bunnies and other wildlife have passed through or come visit from time to time.

Dublin Shore temperature are generally cooler than Halifax. It could be 30C in Halifax and 22 with a breeze here. Mornings can be a bit chilly so we recommend you pack a hoodie or light jacket.

I always recommend packing a light jacket when visiting the beach. Even if it's quite warm the ocean breeze cools you off quite a bit.

Feel free to wander around and explore the property. There is a small little beach area just across the street (less than 5 min walk) that you can wade into or launch kayaks/SUP from.

Feel free to borrow kayak, sup or cruiser bikes and explore the area.

The bay is quite sheltered and calm as long as there isn't a storm brewing.

Please keep your pets on leash when walking around the property. Porcupine have crossed the property as have deer who may become agitated if chased.

Fire ban

Due to the ongoing province wide fire ban the wood burning fire pit has been romoved and a propane one has been put in its place.

To operate simply take the lid off the pit. Set it aside. Turn the propane on.
Push the dial and turn to the small flame and light like you would light a candle with provided lighter.

You can turn up the flames to high after it has been lit.

When you are done with the fire simply the dial all the way to the right in the office position. Turn the propane tanks off and put the lid back on the unit.

Do not throw anything into the flames or burn any wood on the unit.
Roasting marshmallows is fine but keep it at a safe distance to avoid dripping.

Our place is oceanfront. Walk to Lunenburg Yacht Club (dine Tue-Sun on the oceanfront deck). Go swimming, kayaking, fishing. 10mins drive to Lunenburg or Mahone Bay. We have two cottages, this one is Blue with two double beds. The other is yellow with three double beds and a single bunk.
