A screened gazebo sits at the shoreline surrounded by a large deck and a dock with a ladder for easy swimming access. The main bedroom has a queen bed and small walk-in closet. The 2nd bedroom is larger with two bunk beds (single bed on top and doubles on the bottom). Bathroom has a shower and a small ante room outside the bathroom has a stacked washer and dryer.
The cottage sits on a large lot surrounded by a privacy border of trees. Both sun and shade to be found.
There is walk in access to the lake with a gradual increase in depth. Water depth at the end of the dock is about 3 feet and temperatures are fine for swimming mid June though September. As you watch the sunset from the dock, watch for the passing beaver or loons.

- "This is the second time I've stayed here. I enjoyed the summer more just due to the walk to the outhouse and hot tub. I was unlucky with the weather during my last stay which forced me to stay inside most of the time. - "This property is what it says on the tin. It is a cozy bedroom in a field. The stream is very calming and so close to the cabin that you can hear it if you open the window, perfect for a relaxing morning with a book or loved one. I really enjoyed the firepit and also that I was allowed to gather firewood on the property (LOTS of deadfall to choose from). Even though it rained most of the time I was there, I was able to start fires with gathered wood. The hot tub was wonderful and well placed facing the stream and woods. The hike up to the windmills was pretty, steep enough to get a good sweat on, and ended in a magnificent view of the area. Points of friction (minimal): 1. The BBQ lighter was out of fluid so I had to buy matches to light the BBQ and the fire pit (probably already fixed by the time I write this review). 2. The property is bordered by a road. 95% of the time this was no issue as it is a relatively low traffic road. There were some loud vehicles at times (dirt bikes). Many of the people driving by would look into the property and slow down to check it out. This is understandable as it's probably a newer development and they're just curious, but it kind of felt like I was in the Truman show and they were the audience. Some fencing or greenery would go a long way for privacy. Overall this is a great stay for a great price. The people I dealt with (Shonna over the phone and the cleaner in person) were polite, helpful, and answered questions within minutes."

The Cottage is open concept with a loft bedroom accessible by ladder. It’s designed to sleep four people comfortably. It’s most suitable for couples or small families.

Bed 1 – This bed is located on the main floor of the cottage. After a long day of exploring the outdoors, come sink into your cozy and comfortable queen-sized ENDY mattress and relax. The cottage is open concept, so there is no separation from the bedroom, living room or kitchen. There are curtains for every window if you do not prefer to wake up when the world does.

Bed 2 – This bed is in our loft area. The loft is only accessible by ladder and should be considered when travelling with young children. The second bed is also a super comfortable queen-sized ENDY mattress, which will provide you a comfortable place to relax after a long day of exploring.

Kitchen/BBQ – The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee machine and toaster. We provide pots, pans and the basic kitchen essentials needed for everyday use. We also provide a BBQ for guests to use, which is located on the side of the cottage.

Bathroom – We have a fully equipped bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. We provide towels for our guests during their stay.

Temperature Control – The cottage is equipped with a heat pump which is ideal for any weather. If you like it freezing cold or extra warm, choose which temperature is good for you. There is also additional baseboard heating to help make the cottage toasty warm in the winter months if you so choose.

Dog Policy – We are pet friendly! Please contact us and tell us a little about your furry friend before booking. Please ensure to add your furry friend to the reservation when booking, as a $50 additional cleaning fee will be applied.

Outdoor Area – We are nestled right next to the Balmoral Brook, which offers a private swimming spot in the warmer months. Our newly built log home offers two bedrooms with two queen beds, an air mattress for an additional guest or child, and a pack and play for smaller children. You'll find two full bathrooms, with the main level featuring a tub/shower combination and a washer and dryer, while the upstairs ensuite boasts a stand-up shower and double sinks. The main living area features cathedral ceilings and abundant natural light throughout the day. A fully equipped kitchen has all the amenities needed to prepare meals for friends or family, and a BBQ on the back deck is available for your use. In the backyard, relax in the screened-in room with comfortable furniture, or gather around the fire pit with chairs overlooking the green space. Keep an eye out for deer, bear, and birds in the area. On the front covered porch, you'll find beach essentials, including a wagon with beach buckets and frisbees, four folding chairs, and an umbrella. Private access to Blue Sea Beach is a 5-7 minute walk to the end of the subdivision. Note that the bridge crossing the brook is erected between June and October; access to the beach is still available year-round with some walking around the brook.

The space
This space is bright and beautiful. Completely renovated from top to bottom with much attention to detail. The loft has separate private entrance with fully functional kitchen. Kitchen has all essentials required to enjoy cooking and baking. The dining room space has a table for four. There is an amazing sitting area to engage guests that is open to the kitchen and the living room. There are a few books for reading, board games to play and a crib board for a little healthy competition. The bathroom boasts of an amazing shower and nice cozy towels. The bedroom has a queen bed with a working desk/ make up desk. Rest your laptop and relax watching the colourful wall mounted fireplace. Closets for clothes and suitcases.

Guest access
You can enjoy the peaceful property that includes a nice treed backyard. Free parking also included, can accommodate 2 cars. Self check in for your privacy.

Other things to note
This property is in a quiet neighbourhood with a treed backyard. It is very close to the iconic Victoria Park approximately a 5 minute walk. The vibrant downtown core consists of locally owned shops, delicious bakeries, cafes, pubs, restaurants and the Marigold Center all within walking distance.

You will have full, private access to the whole house, including 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and dining room, living room, full bathroom upstairs and downstairs. As well as laundry machines.

Close to all the amenities in and around Truro Nova Scotia, such as Hospital, Sportsplex, University, Victoria park etc.

The space
It includes 2 driveways, of which one has direct walk in access to the basement to keep for example sports equipment such as bike, kayak's/canoe's or anything else during your stay.

The space
Welcome to downtown Truro!

Spacious and full of natural light, this is a perfect place to unwind.

The living room has a TV with Netflix and two couches. There is a hidden nook with a Super Nintendo off of the living room as well as vintage arcade machines in the rear rec room. A large third-floor deck is located off the back of the apartment.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials such as an oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, microwave. blender, dishes, utensils and cookware. Help yourself! Everything in the apartment was left here for you.

Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, a third bedroom with a king bed, and a small bedroom with a twin bed.

The master bedroom has a laundry room and ensuite bathroom attached. This bathroom is equipped with a jetted jacuzzi tub and double sinks.

The smaller bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo. There is only 1 shower in the apartment, but there are 2 bathtubs.

This is a third-floor walk-up with no elevator access and 1 driveway parking spot.

Guest access
You will have access to a full 4-bedroom apartment in a private 4-unit building. There is 1 outdoor parking spot reserved for you in the front driveway.

You will not have access to any other parts of the building.

Due to noise level, we request that arcade machines are not played between the hours of 9 p.m.-9 a.m.

Other things to note
• This is a small quiet building. You will need to be respectful of noise and have no late-night visitors.

• The fireplace is not operational and has not been used for many years. Do not attempt to use the fireplace.

• This is a third-floor walk-up with NO elevator access.

• There are fans in the apartment but there is no AC.

• There are blinds and screens on only some of the windows in the common rooms.

• Laundry is located in the apartment. There is one washer and 2 dryers but only one 1 dryer is currently hooked up.

• You will have access to a wifi network that is shared with one other tenant in the building. There is no cable.

• This is an old building so it is possible to hear the neighbours from the other apartments as well as downtown traffic.
