The restaurant was a bit of a disappointment as they were beginning to change to a new menu and many items listed were not available, even something as simple as waffles. Customers should not impacted by a menu change or at least change the menu to reflect what is available. Welcome to our warm and welcoming Cape Cod style home which sits on a beautiful, private and tree filled yard. This is a sunny walk-out basement unit (not wheelchair accessible), with a separate entrance for added privacy (we live on the upper level). Our lakeside retreat is a large, sunny, lower level apartment with a private entrance on a 3 acre lakefront property. We live upstairs and our entrance is on the other side of the house. You may see us around the property tending to gardens, maintaining the hot tub, or walking our little rescue dog, Diddy. You may hear Diddy's footsteps as he plays his favourite games in our livingroom. You may also see/hear planes overhead, nearby trains, and the occasional squirrel noises, or ducks, geese or birds calling out to each other. The deer will not be afraid of you, and there is the occasional snapping turtle sighting.

We are ideally situated 20 minutes from the airport, 35 minutes from downtown Halifax, 45 minutes from Peggy's Cove and one hour to the beautiful Annapolis Valley. - "We had the best stay ever! Two great beds and clean and comfortable house/kitchen/bathroom! The house is situated directly on the lake with a beautiful shaded garden! A fire pit with firewood provided, for marshmallows and cozy evenings in the Adirondack chairs. Kids had a lot of fun on the water trampoline, and we loved the standup paddle boards, kayaks, and if you know how to fish you can do that as well! :) the water was great to swim in and hardly any bugs! The hosts were friendly and helpful! Great place to be and enjoy while also easy to explore hotspots like Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg and Halifax. We had great food at la cuisine de Brigitte by the way :) Go here!"

We chose this spot in Enfield due to its proximity to the airport - about 15 minutes, but we quickly realized what a gem it is! The grounds are clean and well looked after! We spent most of our time outside enjoying the peaceful and serene setting. There is nothing that the host left out and not once did we say “I wish it had…”. They have thought of everything from q tips to a bundle of firewood. The house itself is so inviting with everything perfectly organized! There’s enough dishes (an indoor set plus an outside set), and cutlery and every utensil you could possible need! The host clearly has a keen eye for detail and we soaked up every minute. The sauna and hot tub were an added bonus! We enjoyed sitting by the fire one night which is thoughtfully placed closer to the lake. We sunk into the beds at night and none of us had any complaints! Heating and Cooling:
Please be advised that 2 out of the 3 heat pumps in the house are currently not operational as we are in the process of upgrading our service panel to 200 amps. However, the main source of heating is via baseboards, which are fully functional.

Thermostats are available throughout the house and can be adjusted to your desired temperature for your comfort. We appreciate your understanding and are working to complete the upgrades as soon as possible.
