We recently bought ourselves this vacation property . Ocean views on 2 acres of quiet bliss. There is a bird sanctuary across the road for the bird lovers. 2 min drive to one of Canada's top 10 beaches. Mavillette Beach is an awesome family beach with warm waters in the summer and great easy waves to surf on. Walk forever when the tide is low, on pristine sand beaches. 4 bedroom and 2.5 bathrooms make this a great property for a family holiday. It can sleep up to 8 people in beds. We have a wheelchair ramp and flat parking for mobility challenged persons. Master bath has a walk-in shower. A 20 min drive to Yarmouth and 45 min drive to Digby. The area hosts a bunch of different beaches to beach comb or search for beach glass. There is even an amazing area to try your hand at clam digging. Fun fun fun. We have big pots and lobster tools available for a fresh lobster feast

- "Our last night of an 11 day Candian family vacation was spent in Yarmouth, we loves the Courier rooms comfort, style and location. Only regret nit having more time to explore. All of the accoutrement was perfect, including lovely touches like robes, living room blankets, ample linens & kitchenry (even glass storage containers & ziplocs), laundry detergent, and even wood & pokers for s'mores. (You do need to bring all of your own food/drink except a salt/pepper shaker, but they provide starter coffee/tea.) Also: Ample parking. *THE HOST(ESS):* Lauren was very kind and responsive! Bonus: I mentioned that my 3yo could use a step-stool to reach the toilets/sinks and she went right out and got one. We decided to stay in another of the Rennesouth lofts on our way back out of NS and she made sure we had it! *THE LOCATION:* This is a 2-minute drive from The Cat Ferry. This place is anomalously cute in the neighborhood. There is not a ton of touristy stuff right there, but a small market is across the street, it is a short walk to some cafes/restaurants and a surprisingly interesting Firefighter's Museum & County Museum/Archives OR a short drive to big shops, Cape Fortu, and such things as a lovely re-enactment place in West Pubnico (Le Village Historique Acadien de la Nouvelle-Écosse)."

Welcome to Foggy Wharf, a traditional renovated 19th century home. We are on Mavillette Beach in Cape St. Mary, Nova Scotia. "VRBO" has our listing as Church Point, however we ar 20 min. south of that. We are approximately one hour south of the Digby/St. John ferry and 20 min. North of Yarmouth/Bar Harbor U.S ferry.
With a spacious interior design and plenty of (chef owned) kitchen space. you will find everything you need to always eat in, or BBQ if you choose. Exploring The Cape is a must. During your stay, take a walk on 1.5 kilometer-long Mavillette Beach, a provincial park, or take a walk to the Cape St. Mary Lighthouse Park, which, according to our kids, is the best kite-flying and picnicking spot around (100 meters)! You can also get in some Tee-Time at 1 of the 4 golf courses all within one hour's drive. With many nearby attractions and nothing but breathtaking views, this one very special place, Foggy Wharf will be a visit to heart of Acadia that you will never forget..

Enjoyed coffee in the morning watching the sunrise and a glass of wine in the evening as the sun sets. A short walk to the lighthouse for amazing sunsets and picturesque views. The host was exceptionally kind and quick to answer any questions I had prior to arrival. My family had a wonderful stay here. The beach is close by and beautiful. Beautiful Mavillette Beach is minutes away with the best walks at low tides. Port Maitland Beach also provides incredible low tide walks with just a 15 minute drive away. Tim Horton's, groceries, Sips Cafe, fresh lobster retail, bank, post office, hardware store in nearby Meteghan. Memories waiting to be made.

- "I'm not sure if I have enough adjectives to rave about this property! Upon entering the front door we knew this was something special and entering each space continued to validate that thought. The view is spectacular and can be seen from almost every room in the house. The pictures don't captivate the beauty of every detail that can only be seen in person. Everything you need ...and more.. is available for you. The host is very generous with amenities.The kitchen is enormous and has EVERYTHING you'll ever need. A separate coffee bar area is a real treat! Each bedroom is beautiful with a focus on comfort and relaxing with private baths. If traveling with children, the most adorable bunk room awaits! Beverly is the perfect host. We had a cancelled ferry and could not arrive on the first day. She was quick with responses, provided very helpful suggestions with things to see, restaurants to try, times of tides for beach walking, turning on the lights for our late arrival, a welcome basket, and more. I've been renting homes for many years and by far she was the Best host in the Best house. Can't say enough about our experience with this rental. LOVED it!"

We have one of the largest commercial fishing wharf in Atlantic Canada. Full kitchen, keurig, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, freezer, stove, dining area, satellite tv, internet, electric fireplace. We have a Golf Course, a local distillery, co-op, a museum, Royal Bank, Credit Union, two restaurants, a walking trail. Small dogs are welcome. - "We had a lovely stay at this location in West Pubnico. Lots of room, well stocked kitchen and even a rack to hang wet clothes.West Pubnico is filled with history. Don't miss anything, even give the Rappie pie a taste.Oh, and the best Banana Splits just down the road." - "Property was very clean, with lots of space for two people. Welcome to Yarmouth! Not only is this cute ocean view house located just minutes from the CAT ferry and downtown yarmouth (by vehicle ) but it is also minutes away from beautiful beaches and Yarmouth’s very own lighthouse. This two bedroom house has a fabulous view of the town of Yarmouth, which you can enjoy sitting on the newly built deck. Door dash is also available for your convenience. We know that you will have a wonderful stay here.
There is one room with a queen bed, and one room with a double bed. There is also a pull out couch that could sleep two people. The ceilings in this house are only about 7 feet tall, and it is a small home. Another thing to note is that it’s a tight fit for a truck in the driveway so you can either park on an angle or on the lawn. The house is close to the road. Also, we have been told that putting in 509 yarmouth bar road works better for the GPS :)

- "Really enjoyed the deck and view from this house, and the inside is very nicely appointed with cute and clean furnishings. However, some of the necessities weren't entirely functional. I'm tall (6') and I repeatedly hit my head on the track lighting down the middle of the kitchen ceiling. The lighting in the main bedroom (which is charged with a cable and you have to unscrew the lightbulbs to charge them, and they're turned on by remote) didn't really work very well. The bones of the place are great, might just need a few small changes and it will be 5 stars! Certainly adequate for one night on our way from the Bar Harbor ferry up to Halifax. "

The cabins themselves look new and the details of the decorating were so beautiful/serene. Oh and we also had access to a BBQ, fire pit (yummy Smores lol), small stove, dishwasher, fridge, and nice shower in the cabin There are large windows everywhere and it almost feels like you are staying outdoors. Absolute stunning nature and wildlife all around you. A pier/dock a few minutes walk/drive away with kayaks, fishing access, sauna, and great area for swimming on the lake. The pictures do not do this location justice in my opinion. The price is also great considering the quality of the stay, attentive, nice, and accommodating host and the picturesque landscape. This gorgeous home, located on the upper level of a split level property, has been renovated from top to bottom with all new floors, windows, appliances, fixtures, furniture as well as heating and AC. Nautical features (including a unique porthole window in the dining area) combined with elevated east coast design touches make the space warm and inviting, while modern updates to the kitchen and bathrooms provide total comfort and convenience.
Wake up in your spacious bedroom (with queen size bed), open up the french doors and start your day with plenty of morning sunshine and more of those stunning ocean vistas. A twin daybed with trundle off the main living area can also accommodate two additional people.
The large updated bathroom has a walk-in shower, beautiful solid wood vanity with chic porthole style lights, and a washer/ dryer tucked away for when you need it.
The kitchen and dining areas are located a step up from the main living area, offering some separation but still connected to everything as the unit is open concept. With all new appliances and a large table that seats four, you’ll have everything you need to cook (and eat!) memorable feasts with family and friends. And for those tasked with cleaning up: large picture windows in front of the sink offer a great view of the bustling wharf and waterfront (sunsets included)!
The main living area has a large comfy couch, coffee/ game table, TV and cozy armchairs for lazing back after a long day at the beach.
During the warmer months, enjoy a 400 square foot private patio complete with teak patio loungers and chairs, and (of course) there’s a BBQ for grilling your fresh catch and veggies from one of our many local markets or roadside vendors.

The Maitland Hideaway- Lower Unit (above ground)
This lovely 2-bedroom home occupies the main floor of a split level property that directly faces beautiful Port Maitland beach. Charming coastal design features (like the driftwood fireplace and porthole window) combined with modern fixtures and amenities make this an ideal vacation home for those seeking comfort, convenience, style and (most importantly) a quick and easy path to the beach!

The large u-shaped kitchen comes fully equipped with brand new appliances, dishes and cookware - everything you might need to whip up a grand seafood feast or simple late night snack. The adjoining dining area is equipped with a large table and an 8ft custom built-in bench that can comfortably seat 6 for meals, cocktails or card games.

The living area is pure coziness. Settle into the large leather couch or pull up an armchair, get the driftwood fireplace going, grab a book, glass of wine or cup of tea, crack open the large picture window, and let the soundtrack of rolling ocean waves soothe your soul.

Head outdoors to enjoy even more space on your large private patio. With a BBQ, comfy loungers and chairs, this is the perfect spot to take in our cinematic sunrises and sunsets and breathe in the sweet aroma of our famous East Coast beach roses.

Follow the connecting path past those very rose bushes, through the grassy dunes and voila! You’re on a stunning stretch of sandy beach that has enticed travelers for over a century. Walk barefoot in the gentle surf, jump in the water, or build a sandcastle - then return home to your peaceful retreat to rest and recharge.

Come home and settle into one of two bedrooms - both with queen size beds, night tables, soft linens and plenty of pillows to sink into after a busy day at the beach. The main bedroom connects to a private den where you can sit by the picture window, look out at the ocean and listen to the waves - a peaceful little haven and one of our favorite spots in the house!

The sizeable washroom features sea-inspired design, a large vanity and a walk-in, oversized rain-head shower. We didn’t forget the laundry! Tucked away in the closet you’ll find a washer/ dryer for when you need it.

The best part of this house? A few short steps down a private path and through the dunes takes you to the endless stretch of sandy shoreline that is Port Maitland Provincial Beach.
Walk barefoot in the gentle surf, jump in the water, or build a sandcastle - then return home to your peaceful retreat to rest and recharge—so you can do it all again tomorrow!

Stay with Brian. Space for you, or you and your whole family. Up to three bedrooms available if needed. You will love the character of the diiferent spaces in this Victorian era home. There's even a piano located by the curved staircase. There is also a deck in the back that faces the meadows, where you can enjoy dinner or a drink, and watch the wildlife roam in the distance. There is a large living room with a TV, that is also available for your use, as well as the TV's in all the bedrooms.

One acre property over looking the Yarmouth harbour to the front, and scenic meadows to the back. There are up to three bedrooms for your use. Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom and has a full ensuite bathroom and a queen size bed. Bedroom 2 has a double bed. Bedroom 3 has two twin size beds. I stay in another bedroom further away from the three mentioned.

As well as your bedrooms, guests will have exclusive access to the main living room. I use the den for lounging around and watching TV.

The space
The RV is a 33’ self-contained motorhome. Complete with a separate master bedroom with a California king bed, closets & drawers and a door with a lock for privacy. Adjacent to that is a separate stand up shower, the door to the bathroom can be opened fully which then gives you privacy from the main living space. A separate toilet with sink, window, medicine cabinets and electric vent fan (the cover for the vent must be opened before turning on the switch to activate the fan. There is a collapsible step stool to reach up to the black knob to open the cover).
There is a retractable bunkbed above the driver & passenger seat, which can comfortably sleep 2 additional people. We can assist with utilizing this if required. The dinette table & area also transforms to a bed for smaller children as well.
There is a smart TV above the dining table, it will be up for your arrival. The remote for the Bose speaker below the TV will be on top of the speaker. We find (in our older years) that the TV speakers are not quite enough. The remote for the Apple box is also on top of the Apple box, which gives you a variety of viewing options. Then there is a separate remote to turn the TV on itself in the armrest between the 2 recliner chairs. The heavier blankets on these chairs can be taken outside should you wish to sit out on a cooler evening near the portable fire pit, or watch a DVD movie on the outdoor TV.
There are commonly used spices in the cupboard, milk/cream & butter & eggs will be provided in the fridge for your 1st night/day until you get your own supplies (if staying past one day). A Nespresso machine & pods are also provided, as well as electric kettle and toaster. You have use of a stocked kitchen with pots, pans & lids; as well as commonly used utensils, and cutting boards.
We are avid travellers, having used AirBnB all over the world, and have used some of our experiences to make your stay & space easier to use and enjoy.

You are more than welcome to take in the views from anywhere on the property. There is a historic walking trail that leads to the Cape St. Marys lighthouse further down the coast, there is a local guide who can be arranged to do the entire trail but it is not for the faint of heart. We have yet to do it. Be mindful of wood ticks when the season warms up.

Take note of the Warning regarding the proximity to the cliffs at the ocean in our House Manual. The roped line between the house and ocean is ONLY decorative, and is NOT a safety measure. We cannot accept liability for behaviour causing injury, etc from unsafe use near the cliffs. Enjoy the incredible views SAFELY.

Communication is key. We prefer knowing if there are any issues as they occur so we can remedy them ASAP, we are very welcoming and have made our property available to share the views we enjoy here.

The space
Sam's place although indeed a tiny house actually has 3 beds and 2 bathrooms. Upstairs you will find a King Size Endy bed as well as a twin bed and a half bath. Downstairs features a new queen size pull out and a bathroom complete with rainfall shower.

Although our kitchen is small, we've tried to provide everything you'll need to prepare wonderful dinners. A BBQ also stands at the ready on the deck for your grilling needs.

We love our doggos and we know you do too so we couldn't ask you to leave yours home, please bring them along. We provide dog bowls, indoor/outdoor bed, cleaning station and a gate to keep them on the deck so you both can relax.

Sam's place is not ideal for those with mobility issues. The stairs to the loft bedroom are narrow and steepish. However, you could choose to sleep on the pullout on the main floor.

Guests have full access to the entire house and property which fronts on to the dunes/beach. There are not many other structures very close, so it is often very quiet with little activity around Sam's and on the beach. It often feels just like it's just you and the ocean :o)

Yarmouth boasts the most fresh and properly cooked haddock anywhere that I have ever been. Most of the fish is delivered daily to restaurants . On Fridays you can get a large fish and chips from "Merns" (more than you can eat) for $10.55 (2018). She changes her cooking oils daily. She also provides other traditional home cooked meals like liver and onions,etc. Merns is located just 2 minutes from the unit. Another great home cooking restaurant located on Water Street is the Dinner Plate. Huge breakfast including sausage/bacon, 2 eggs , potatoes and toast for 8.95. Dinner plate has the best seafood chowder in town (in my opinion). However both these restaurants do not open until 11 am.
So to get a early breakfast, you can drive up the old #1 route to Baileys about 10 minutes form the units and get the same quality breakfast.

Our mission is to supply a quiet and peaceful nights sleep, therefore there are no out side barbeque pits or gathering areas. EastSide Village itself is designed to provide you peace and quiet and a jumping off point for you to visit the various sites and attractions around Yarmouth rather than a camp ground type atmosphere. There are no playgrounds for small children, however whereas the units are "Pet Friendly" there is lots of area for walking your dog. Located on the perimeter of the town you do not have the high traffic noise of being situated on a main street or close to common parking lots subject to late night arrivals.

You have full access to your 630 square ft suite as well as private parking and the common areas throughout the village where you are free to walk your pet.

Yarmouth boasts the most fresh and properly cooked haddock anywhere that I have ever been. Most of the fish is delivered daily to restaurants . On Fridays you can get a large fish and chips from "Merns" (more than you can eat) for $10.55 (2018). She changes her cooking oils daily. She also provides other traditional home cooked meals like liver and onions,etc. Merns is located just 2 minutes from the unit. Another great home cooking restaurant located on Water Street is the Dinner Plate. Huge breakfast including sausage/bacon, 2 eggs , potatoes and toast for 8.95. Dinner plate has the best seafood chowder in town (in my opinion). However both these restaurants do not open until 11 am.
So to get a early breakfast, you can drive up the old #1 route to Baileys about 10 minutes form the units and get the same quality breakfast.
