Picture yourself sitting on the third floor of this lighthouse watching the tide come in and out of the Bay of Fundy. While you are close to the restaurants, the Fundy Trail, and the beach, you will have a quiet oasis of your own to enjoy. This lighthouse was designed with our guests in mind. The first floor has a small foyer, a full kitchen, and a half bath. The second floor has a full bathroom with a shower and a large bedroom with a king-sized bed. The top floor has a living room with panoramic views and a rooftop deck. Placed perfectly for panoramic views and are just a short walk away from the famous sea caves.
Please note- you will have to be able to use stairs to stay at our cottage. We also have a long gravel driveway up to our lighthouse. *** This cottage was built to accommodate couples but due to popular request, we increased the guest capacity to 5. Keep in mind, 2 couches upstairs convert into beds and the bottom floor has a sleeper sofa. The bedroom has a king size bed.

Come to our tiny cabin located in the breathtaking hills of Albert County, New Brunswick. It has one full bedroom, a loft sleeping area, a full bathroom and kitchen, a BBQ, woodstove, a screened porch, firepit, and 8 acres of land to explore with no one in sight!

We are perfectly located in the middle of SE New Brunswick only 20 minutes from Sussex, 35 minutes from Moncton, and an hour from Saint John. Lots of great fishing and hunting are just outside our door, and many other great activities are only minutes away. Snowmobile trails are close by and can be accessed easily straight from the cabin.

Our cabin is fully equipped with all of the linens and kitchen gear you'll need for your stay. We have excellent Starlink internet in case you need to check in with work while you're here.

It’s very close to St. Martins which is a very friendly quaint little place with almost everything you need (except a laundromat!:) They have wonderful eating places, delicious seafood, Gift Shops, a Grocery Store etc! All reasonably priced! The people are very friendly and helpful! The Sea Caves are cool to see as you watch the tides go in and out. The cottage is equipped with essentials. There is no tv but there are plenty of games to entertain and a lovely, clean hot tub to enjoy! There is a barbecue and a deck with chairs to sit and watch the sunsets and enjoy the scenery. The property is close to St. John and the Magnetic Hill and Reversing Rapids and Falls and Fundy Park. We enjoyed our time in New Brunswick very much :)"

Please be advised there are a few neighborhood dogs that frequently roam the beach. They are all friendly.

We are located 15 minutes from the historic seaside village of St. Martins, originally a shipbuilding community, and now a popular summer tourist destination. You can visit the famous St. Martins Sea Caves and experience some of the highest tides in the world. There are excellent dining choices in the area, including some of the best lobster rolls and fried clams in New Brunswick, a cafe with delicious local coffee and baked goods, and a new bar with craft beer, cocktails, charcuterie boards, and oysters.

St. Martins is also the gateway to the Fundy Trail Parkway, which boasts incredible views and is a great hiking destination. It is also one driving route to get to Fundy National Park, which is an hour and 10 minutes from where you'll be staying.

We are also located 15 minutes from several outstanding secluded ocean beaches, as well as lakes with public beaches for swimming on hot days. We are 30 minutes from Saint John, the oldest incorporated city in Canada, where you will find an incredibly well preserved historic uptown, excellent dining options and nightlife, as well as a chance to view the world famous Reversing Falls. There is an abundance of activities in the area, and we will be happy to provide guests with a list of suggestions for hiking, dining, and sightseeing.

Things to note:

The barn is a separate structure on our property that is approximately 30 feet from our main house. We are an artist couple who work from home. One of our studios is in a converted garage approximately 20 feet from the barn. We are a very quiet couple and expect the same from our guests. The barn is located about 150 feet from Route 111, which is the main road that leads to St. Martins. It can be busy in the summer, but gets very quiet at night.

The hot water in the barn is from a 20 gallon tank, so hot water will last for two short showers at approximately 5 minutes each. Our house is rural, so we use a septic system, which means no non-septic safe material can be flushed or put down any drain. The only toilet paper to be flushed is the paper we provide. The barn's water is our well water that we use for bathing and brushing teeth, but we do not drink it. We will supply two liters of drinkable water per stay, and guests are responsible to bring their own water.

⚠️Please note: If you are looking for an accommodation that’s very secluded, this may not be the best fit. We are in an area where several cottage goers frequent and we have neighbors. Having said that, we made every effort to make the dome feel as private as possible.
The space
We offer a private hot tub that’s just a few steps from the dome patio. The hot tub area is covered so it can be enjoyed no matter what the weather looks like. There are two robes in the dome that are perfect for going to and from the hot tub.

The patio area has a BBQ, two comfy Adirondack chairs and a fire table ready for you to relax and take in the sounds of nature.

When you enter the dome, you’ll see a little dining area for 2 and a kitchenette where a full meal can be made.

We have a beautiful egg chair hanging which overlooks the panoramic window. It’s the best seat to enjoy a morning coffee.

The speaker that sits in the rattan shelf has the bluetooth feature. Tune into our Moonshine Dome Retreat Spotify playlist and play a game of Crib or Yahtzee.

The bathroom is just off the bedroom which has a sliding door for privacy. Enjoy a hot shower with rain shower head. We offer professional products for shampoo and conditioner. Body wash is also supplied. In the full sized vanity, you’ll find a hairdryer. We also supply 2 bath towels per guest (based on a 2 night stay), 2 facecloths and hand towels.

Experience Lake Life!
There’s a common beach/lake access area just a short 1 minute walk away from the dome. Perfect for floating the afternoon away in a giant floatie, tube or bring your kayaks or SUP for a paddle. The Washademoak Lake is a lovely one!

By booking this rental, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

We do not accept pets. If we find evidence of pets staying without prior authorization, you will be charged a retroactive fee of $20/pet/night.

This rental is equipped and insured for 4 guests. We occasionally permit additional guests to stay, provided they bring their own sleeping arrangements. We are happy to provide additional towels. The couch is not to be slept on. Additional fees do apply, inquire for specific details. If additional guests stay without prior authorization for any night during the stay, you will be charged a retroactive fee of $35/guest for every night of the booking.

Saturday check-out is set as unavailable to fit with our family's values. If you do require a Saturday check-out, please reach out before booking with your dates if we may be able to put together a custom offer for you with a Saturday check-out, dependent on surrounding bookings and how far ahead you're requesting to book.

There is a camera by the entry door that's actively recording but not actively monitored. Please feel free to use the door bell system as an additional way to contact us in case of emergency.

We are willing to consider early-arrival/late departure requests. During off-season (October-December, March-June) we are more likely to be able to accommodate these. We kindly request as much notice as possible (no less than 24 hours for non-last minute bookings). Any early check-in or late check-out requests are subject to approval based on the availability of our rental.

Check-outs between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM: Free. Please inquire anyways, if we do not have guests arriving the day that you're checking out, we are able to offer a slightly delayed check-out. If no inquiry is made, we assume that you'll be leaving the premises by 10:00 AM.

Check-ins between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM or check-out between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM: 25% of the average nightly rate for the booking.

Check-ins between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM or check-outs between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM: 50% of the average nightly rate for the booking.

Check-ins prior to 11:00 AM or check-outs after 4:00 PM will be subject to the rate of the night with the highest rate (based on your booking).

Early check-in/late check-out requests during busy season are less likely to be accommodated. Early check-in or late check-out requests will not be considered before 1 week prior to the beginning of your stay.

The house has 5 bedrooms. 1 bedroom with a double top floor, main floor 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 1 with a twin, and basement 1 bedroom with a double and 1 with the queen.

The whole house is yours with the exception of the storage room and garage. (we need somewhere to put out stuff!). help yourself to anything in the cupboards and drawers unless of course the are locked or secured shut.
