The Snuggy is located on Smokey Mountain and was built in 2024 to provide our guests with a private eco-friendly adult-only luxury cottage getaway. The property features some of the most spectacular views you will find in all of Ingonish! Watch the sun rise from the ocean and set in the mountains.
We believe the bed is the most important part of a comfortable stay! The comfortable Luxurious King Sized bed and pillows are Canadian made of pure organic latex foam with organic cotton bed sheets and down-alternative duvet.
There are private walking paths created on the property for you to discover with breathtaking views of the ocean, coastline, harbour, sunrises, sunsets, mountains and the Keltic Lodge.
The large front deck is complete with Adirondack chairs, a dining area and an electric Weber bbq. The kitchen is equipped with a toaster oven, portable electric cooktop, mini fridge, kettle and French Press Coffee Maker. Organic Coffee and a variety of teas are provided but milk is not due to personal preferences.
The quiet, cool evenings on the mountain provide for the perfect sleep with a fresh air breeze and cooling ceiling fan. The interior of the cabin is out of direct sunlight and decorated with black out curtains.

Welcome to the beautiful brand new Auguste Cottage! Located in the heart of Ingonish along the Cabot Trail, this cottage comfortably sleeps 4-6 and is the perfect place to root yourself while visiting the area. Find the Periwinkle cafe next door where you can enjoy breakfast or an afternoon drink! This cottage has two queen beds and one large sofa that converts into another queen size bed. It's full kitchen makes for a great space to entertain and it comes with a washer and dryer. The heat pump assures a comfortable space whether in the summer heat or a cool fall evening. Our beautiful, brand new, nautical-themed, two-bedroom, two-bathroom upper-level condo on the picturesque Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. This stunning condo is available year-round and boasts breathtaking ocean views that will make time stand still.

The Lobster Trap is a place you will never want to leave! Located on a private cliffside waterfront property in North Bay Ingonish, this home is optimized for a restful & relaxing getaway.

With exceptional ocean & mountain views, this modern home is ideal for guests looking to experience the highlands. Close to sandy beaches, hiking trails, the golf course and ski hill it is a perfect year-round location.

This was our home for three years and we are now excited to share it with you.

Whether you’re here to enjoy the sandy beaches, hike in the national park, golf the renowned Highland Links or spend your day at the ski hill, the Lobster Trap is the perfect place to call home base.

This two-bedroom, one-bath home provides plenty of space to hang out inside or out. It is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, a full bath with tub, an electric fireplace and a washer and dryer for those times when adventuring gets messy.

The Bunkie, located at the edge of the property, is also rented out during the warmer months from May-Oct.

Each rental has its own dedicated space and amenities in order to maintain privacy for all guests. We ask that anyone staying in the main house respect the Bunkies' dedicated space at the edge of the property. There is plenty of yard for everyone and Lobster Trap guests are welcome to enjoy the cliffside lookout when Bunkie guests are not present.

Parking is clearly labelled, with two dedicated spaces for The Lobster Trap and one for the Bunkie. There is room for some additional parking if needed but please make sure you don't block anyone in ;)

The driveway to the property is right off the Cabot Trail across the street from one of our favourite spots - Salty Rose's + Periwinkle Cafe.

As you roll down the driveway, you will get a glimpse of the view and our red home, called the Lobster Trap. There is a cart on the porch to help unload the car, but please make sure it's put back where you found it.

From time to time, you may see other guests walking through the yard to get access to the Bunkie. This is their dedicated along the right side of the property.

Along with Salty Rose's + Periwinkle Cafe, The Goat Soap shop and farm are also just next door.

Located in the heart of a National Park, there is something to do and see in every direction.

You may get an occasional wave or hello from the guests staying in the Bunkie as they walk to their car, but interacting with others is up to you ;)

A couple of additional things we like to share with guests are.

Our property is cliffside and caution is required when exploring the edge of the property.

We also neighbour an old cemetery that shares our driveway. Our property is landscaped to hide the cemetery and focus the view on the ocean, the Keltic Lodge and the ski hill in the distance.

On the other side of our property is another adult-only resort, the Seascape Coastal Retreat. The guests at Seascape are typically very quiet and we ask that our guests maintain the serenity of the area by keeping music to minimum when enjoying the patio.

Quiet hours begin at 8pm and there are no parties permitted on the premises.
No parties are to be hosted on the property.

Perfect lovers retreat or for a solo traveler. Newly renovated tiny home. Home adjacent to a wharf in Ingonish harbour. Come by car or boat. home located 2 minutes off the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park, CBH links golf course, restaurants, liquor store and bank. Ski Cape Smokey Atlantic Canada’s only gondola is only 5 minutes away. Up until July 15th it is lobster season and a bit of activity on the wharf and the harbour,After July 15th goes back to peaceful. Great Wifi.

The space
This tiny home looks small from outside but spacious and well laid out inside. There is a bedroom with a Queen bed. A bathroom with a shower vanity and toilet. There is a kitchen with a coffee bar and fridge, induction burner cook top, microwave, plates knives forks, hot pot, bowls pans, bbq and outdoor seating. Tried to provide all the comfort from home. Very clean and newly renovated. Breath taking views ocean, harbour, mountains, Cape Smokey ski hill.

The tiny home is a private home for your stay. There is a business next door it is a lobster pound. Shipped out Evey few days. The adjacent wharf is right in front of your deck. (Use at your own risk) it is the property owners. Park in front of the building not in the parking lot. Just stay off the road.

Other things to note
For lobster lovers watch your catch being off loaded in front of your cottage on the wharf and we will cook your lobsters for you, just let us know how many lobsters you would like and you can pay the host for them when you arrive (During Lobster season up till July 15th) Let the host know if you would like lobster.
Ingonish is a rural area. Our area is known for the nature and scenery. Our grocery store is small yet everything basic and extra that you would need. Freshmart has summer and winter hours. Please make a note of that. There is a park map on the wall that lets you know of all the hikes available in our area and a far, a useful hiking app to download in "All Trails", this app will automatically default to all the trails in our area. We have over 31 world class hiking trails within reach of your cabin.From your deck you will to be surrounded by mountains and water and wildlife.
There are local Kayak and SUP rentals available
After summer the fall season is a magical time of the year for us, with the ever changing colours, use us as a base camp to experience the trail and the colours.
Then we have winter, from the cabin Ski Cape Smokey is 7 minutes away, there you will enjoy multiple ski runs all serviced by a gondola.
North Highlands Nordic ski centre is 43 minutes away, here they have 14 km of groomed cross country ski trails, close bye is South Ridge Wilderness trails, here you have cross country and wilderness skiing.
All roads are plowed regularly, we do suggest you have good winter/snow tires
This summer till September 2nd 2025 all access to parks Canada trails is FREE. It is not necessary to buy a parks pass.

Access to the property will be provided by self check in. The house is accessed by pass code lock. The code will be provided prior to your arrival.

Check in time is 3 pm and check out time is 11 am. If you need more time on either side of your visit, check with us. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

For your part, send us an email to let us know when you plan to arrive and when you have left. It really helps with our scheduling of cleaning and other services.

Other things to note
This is a country home and being in the country there is the occasional squirrel or mouse that you might hear scampering.

Easiest way to mitigate any concerns in this department, is to clean up after cooking. Do not leave food out on the counter. Put refuse and organics in the containers provided. There is plenty of storage space in the cupboards and fridge for a pretty big crew.

Please give us an estimate of your arrival time and text us or email us when you leave at the end of your stay. This really helps with the scheduling of the cleaning and maintenance.

Hey, we have lots of towels and linens for your use in side the house. Please - don't take them to the beach - that is in your court to supply.

And shoes - please leave them at the door or on the veranda - it really helps Danita keep the place sparkling.

Finally, pets. Yes we allow them. Please keep them off the furniture and clean up after them both inside and outside the house. Your awesome.

The space
Our beach house is located at 32 Snitzel Lane on the famous Cabot Trail in Ingonish Beach, a fishing village in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The view from the spacious deck over- looking Ingonish Harbour, is breath-taking. At night, enjoy the romantic moon, glistening on the water. The house is AIR CONDITIONED and is a fully equipped spacious, one level, 2 bedroom house WASHER AND DRYER, 2 12 INCH MEMORY FOAM MATTRESSES (queen size and double), a queen sofa sleeper and a NEW SPA-LIKE BATHROOM. There is a new BBQ, and table & chairs on the deck to take in the view!
Enjoy the convenience of the liquor store Scotiabank, the post office, the variety store, Home Hardware, gas station and the Main Street restaurant (Ingonish Beach), which specializes in fresh seafood! All right in the village and walking distance!
Enjoy the Bitsy Bean cafe, Periwinkle cafe and Coastal Waters restaurant in Ingonish, the Arduane restaurant and bar with local entertainment in Ingonish Beach up the Keltic Road. The main lodge is presently closed. Don’t forget to take the kids to the groovy goat farm while you enjoy lunch on their new upper deck.

Whether youre combing Ingonish Beach or North Bay Beach beach for sea treasures; Partake in The Cape Breton Highlands national park’s interpretive programs; guided walks or Geo catching. Go hiking or Kayaking while enjoying this spectacular scenery, you will surely encounter moose (do not attempt to approach!) and other wildlife living in the Cape Breton Highlands, where the Eagles soar high. There is a fire stick on the TV and I have downloaded all the apps for your watching pleasure. There is Netflix, Prime Video, and many other apps and options.

This Beach House is equipped with laundry facilities, both Washer and dryer,hair dryer, baby gate, playpen, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms (queensize and a double bed), a pull out couch for a fifth guest and 2 cozy Primary guest robes. A large livingroom with Netflix, prime video and wifi. The Wi-Fi is on the modem that is on top of the desk in the kitchen. There is a full sized deck overlooking the water in Ingonish Harbour. Enjoy the picturesque view from the inside through the large windows in both the living room and kitchen an outside. There’s a brand new barbeque and propane fire table. Directions for the table are above.

There are two yoga mats to enjoy meditating on the deck or lifting the water

For your convenience, I provide tea, and coffee, The kitchen is fully equipped with a brand new stove And Keurig coffee maker

the key will be in the lock box on the front door For your check-in convenience. The number is 2232. When you check out, simply just put the key back in the door lock and make sure the propane tanks are off

WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S Beach House is not easy to find so please use your Google maps. It over-looks Ingonish Harbour and is located at the entrance of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. there is a new barbeque on the patio and also a new propane fire table with heat. Lovely for happy hour.!

At the Ingonish Beach, one can play tennis at the newly renovated courts, play soccer on the soccer field, build sand castles, swim in the salt and rinse off in the Fresh water lake which is separated from the ocean by a "Natural cobble stone.
There will be a Canada Day celebration in a community and on those dates, I have forwarded the information to the guest who have booked these dates.

The "International Celtic Colours Festival" is October this fall.

There are many guided hikes, or you could venture out with a "buddy", and take in the beauty of the many hiking trails cut out by the National Park in the Cape Breton Highlands. Visit the Park’s information centre in Ingonish Beach for more information on hiking and trails. You can message me in ask also. There are strict restrictions.
Fire ban is frequent so no campfires at these times. ADHERE TO FIRE BANS!
There will be NO campfires this season due to the increasing potential for wildfires. On the deck is a new propane table. *Directions: turn the propane tank on, then push the large knob in and turn it to high position and hold finger on small igniter button until flames light then adjust the flame height

1 dog is permitted as long as you submit the $55 pet fee, clean up after the animal and make sure there’s no pet hair on the furniture. If there’s a lot of dog here, please vacuum and also pick up any of the dogs excrements

Lobster season begins the 2nd week of May - July 15/19. The crab season is 2 weeks before or after lobster.

The restaurants such as "Main Street," (5 Star) located a stones-throw from the beach house offering the catch of the day. Main Street also has a brand new takeout that is open till 11:00 PM "Coastal Waters" (as seen on the TV show, you've got to eat here) in Ingonish typically opens the Friday of Mothers Day weekend in May and provides six days a week. There are many other restaurants such as "the Arduane," which also offers live entertainment in the attached Breton Room From 5:00-11:00 pm which is located in Ingonish Beach on the property of the keltic Lodge. There For a more informal dining experience, "The Seagull Restaurant" in Ingonish offers a delicious menu and has an outdoor deck where you may choose to sit, overlooking the bay. It is very child friendly! You can also enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony of the golf clubhouse, which serves beautiful lunches. There are food trucks, both in North Bay.
The Ingonish Beach it’s beautiful, but there is a strong undertow. At the north Bay Beach just further down the road. It’s a long beach and full of sand and two lifeguards.

The Zodiac, Keltic Express docked at the Ingonish warf, opens Mother’s Day, it offers an exciting whale watch. See sea life from a marine perspective! There is also a Whale Watch below the Airbnb. See pamphlets in the desk.
Golf the mountaineous 18 holes at the famous Cape Breton Highlands Links, which was rated in the best 100 golf courses in the world!

Ingonish Beach provides a unique experiences, From dining to building sand castles on the lifeguarded Ingonish Beach, frolicking in the summer sun, enjoying the surf, hiking, whale watching, kayaking, (rentals available at Ingonish Beach), sight seeing, enjoy the Celtic Colors in the fall.
