The kitchen area has a grand, butcher block, stove top island, with convection oven. Swivel bar stools at the island provide you with your view over St. Margarets Bay looking towards Peggys Cove.
The kitchen is fully equipped with basic essentials and spices. (Paper towels, ketchup, relish, mustard, coffee, tea, sugar, bar b que sauce, etc). Our amazing drinking water is spring fed so there is no need to buy water. Grocery stores are very close, a 10 minute scenic drive away in beautiful Hubbards.

On your spacious veranda deck is a Weber gas barbecue and comfortable patio furniture for alfresco dining. A covered lanai allows outside seating even during a summer rain shower. You also have a propane fire pit for cooler evenings. This deck can comfortably accommodate 8 guests. Your beach cottage is 500sf.
The beach across the road is walkable at mid to low tide and is an excellent spot for beach glass hunting. The other beaches, 5 in all, are within a 5 minute drive. Porpoise and seals can sometimes be spotted in the water right in front of the cottage. We have also seen Minke whales.
Beach chairs and beach towels are provided.
A local bistro, Emile's is within a 5 minute walk and Hubbard's Seaside Village a 10 minute drive from your rental offers several other dining options, including oceanside dining at Tuna Blue Restaurant. The sunsets here are amazing.

We are centrally located for day trips to Halifax, a 40 minute drive to the downtown core. Peggy's Cove, Chester, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg are all 30-40 min away, including the world famous Oak Island.
The village of Hubbard's is a 10 minute drive and has a wonderful farmers market every Saturday with local music and artisans. There is a Tuesday afternoon farmers market in Tantallon, a 15 min. drive, and Fridays in Chester you'll find another farmers market. Many wonderful restaurants are also close by. Please ask us about our favorites.

The Annapolis Valley is an hour away where you'll find orchards, vineyards and world famous highest tides. Make sure you check out Halls Harbour where the fishing boats sit on the ocean floor at low tide. Burntcoat Head Provincial Park is also a place you can walk out on the ocean floor. This Provincial Park is located on the Noel Shore.
Walking and hiking trails abound with Rails to Trails hiking/biking/running trail accessible right behind our property. We have a fun oceanside hike that you can access a short 10 minute walk from this property.
We can provide an outdoor lobster cooking pot so you can prepare your own special treat. Fresh lobster is always available from our local fishermen and we enjoy showing folks how to cook and prepare their lobster. A washer and dryer are available on site.
All linens are provided along with paper towel, toilet paper, dish soap and basic spices (garlic, barbecue seasoning, ketchup, mustard, relish, olive oil) We also have laundry facilities available.
Boating, fishing, golf, swimming, stand up paddle board/kayak rentals, snorkeling, wine tasting, river rafting, world's highest tides, Unesco World Heritage Sites and Oak Island (famous from the TV show "The Curse of Oak island) are all fun local activities available for your enjoyment.

This beautiful home has just been renovated and is ideal for small families or two couples. It's location is full of classic maritime charm, with lots of fishing boats and colourful homes along the water.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all standard appliances, a dishwasher, and plenty of counter and cupboard space. Please help yourself to anything in the kitchen. It was all left here for you.

The living space is a great place to unwind, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. The space is full of natural light - with large sliding doors that open onto a generous deck overlooking Herring Cove.

Two bedrooms are each equipped with a brand new Queen Bed.

A lovely home in a fantastic location in Halifax. You are minutes walk from Dalhousie University, Quinpool shopping, the QEII hospital, the Commons and scenic downtown. And yet, nestled away on a quiet street, you feel like you're miles away from the hustle and bustle of a city.

The space
Your private room is bedroom 1 upstairs. It is a SMALL but pleasant, cozy room that is equipped with a single bed, work desk, lamp and armoire. The room will lock from both the inside and outside for your privacy. Your entrance is on the side of the home. There is a bathroom upstairs and one on the main level, both equipped with showers. The large, spacious kitchen and dining area is situated on the main floor. There is even a piano in the kitchen. There is also an enclosed sun room off the main floor, which will be great once we stop using it for storage :) You also have access to the deck and patio furniture. We might also give you a parking spot if you're nice :)

The main floor bedroom and living room is occupied by my parents. Their English isn't so good, but they love people so feel free to have a friendly chat with them. If you speak Chinese, you'll communicate just fine :)

You will have access to pots, pans, dishes and cutlery too. But please, wash them as soon as you are done using them as a courtesy to others. If you find something missing (or not enough), contact us and we'll try and to resolve.

You also have access to a hair dryer and curling iron in the drawer in the upstairs washroom.

This bedroom with comfy double bed is 1 of 2 on the 3rd floor - 1/2 bath and laundry. The 2nd floor has kitchen & full bathroom.

This century flat is 2-unit, 3 story house. My family and I have lived downstairs in the ground floor flat for over 30 years.

We have been with Airbnb for 8 years, and we are grateful for 100 + reviews and Super-Host Status.

The space
This property is in the very heart of the city!
We have a bike and skate oval, a shopping and food district, Halifax Common, Museums, Universities, Play Parks and Pools. Everything is here.

The property itself is one street south and parallel to Quinpool Rd. This part of the city seems like a small town with a mixture of century and midcentury homes, brick and mortar buildings - and trees line the street.

Description of flat:

Starting with the sunny kitchen - it has century charm - accent red stools and chairs are around the dining table and open cupboards so everything like dishes, cutlery, glassware and pots and pans are visible at a glance.

There is a stove, microwave, and 2 fridges to share with one other guest. There are numerous small appliances. Dry goods - flour, salt and pepper, spices, oil, sugar are shared.

The dishwasher is a portable hook-up, so if you want a video "on how-to hook up" let me know. There is a basin in the sink if you prefer to hand-wash.

I have cloth bags on a hook in the kitchen for shopping - SUPERSTORE is a 5 minute walk. Most stores, including drug stores, are bagless.

RE: RECYCLE: - Not too daunting!

There are 3 bins in different parts of the kitchen -

Under and to the right of the sink is a blue bag container for all plastics, milk and juice cartons, bottles, and glass products to recycle.

Clear bag -the white bin next to the stove is all garbage.

Clear bag - the black bin across the room is to be used for paper products - pizza, cereal boxes etc.

Food waste container is on the counter with the sink and sometimes stored in the freezer.

All food waste can be emptied into to larger bins at the end of the property. There is a guide on the fridge for reference.

The photo in additional photos show the large bins at the end of the driveway.

Full Bathroom - 2nd Floor

Half Bathroom is on the 3rd floor. Sink on left. The toilet on the right is very tiny so be careful not to bump your head. :)

Washer/Dryer is between the half bath. Please use between 8 am and 8 pm. Tiny washes only. A window Air conditioner is available on 3rd floor from June to September if requested.

5 Star amenities, and location - Pepperell St - near Robie St - this flat is in the same block as the Atlantica Hotel. Across Robie Street is a major Hospital - QE II Health Sciences Centre, with a mega addition being constructed. property is in the very heart of the city!

On the 2nd floor there is a big fully equipped kitchen, and full bathroom, which is shared.

The ground entrance leads to the 2nd floor. It is well lit but narrow as the house was built more than one hundred years ago.

During your stay
As your Host, I am very reachable and happy to respond to you quickly . I have a bed-siting room on the 2nd floor but to date, I am hardly ever there. The 3 guests share the kitchen and baths. I am available by text or in person always. My daughter/her husband and their young family live with me on the ground floor flat where I lived for over 30 years. As a family, we are friendly, but we respect your privacy. :)
