- "We were very pleased overall with our stay at Acorsonho Apartamentos. Everything was very clean and the property is well looked after. It was too cool when we were there to use the outdoor pool (it wasn't heated) but I really enjoyed the indoor one. It was warm and always very clean. The hotel provides nice, large towels to use at the pool and you can also take these towels off of the property to use at the hot springs or at the beach. This was very handy as we didn't need to bring our own beach towels from home. The beds were very comfortable although in the living room the day bed was not the most comfortable seating for watching TV, reading etc. Also, a lamp would have been helpful in the living room as there was just the ceiling light there which was not bright enough for reading or any activity which needs more direct light. There aren't any facilities onsite for doing your own laundry (just a laundry service which would tend to get quite expensive) and the closest laundromat was in Ponta Delgada. However, the apartment did have a drying rack on the balcony which would be handy if doing any hand washing. All of the staff were wonderful, extremely personable, helpful and very obliging. They couldn't do enough for you. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. "

Found this place which seemed to be a nice hotel, not only for the modern interior design but also for the possibility to prepare some food for the our excursions. Even if we did have som expectations we were happily surprised. The room was spacious with a separate comfortable sleeping area, a well equipped kitchen and dining area and a bathroom. We found all we needed and there were plenty of storage space. The staff were always extremely friendly and accommodating. On top of the hotel there was a small pool, a sauna and a gym. Place is equipped with everything you need to make it home away from home but I wish there’s clear instruction on how to use the appliances, keeping in mind around the world does not use the same appliances. We had to look at google and YouTube on how to use the appliances😅. Clothes not dry enough from dryer after regular cycle, despite doing half load. We ended up hang them on the rack. For a week stay, with no tissue flushing down the toilet, the amount of garbage bags provided was not enough. For cooking, there is only oil and vinegar and no salt and pepper which was usually a staple in household. Internet was a bit slow accessed from the bedroom but strong in the living room. No universal charger was provided so world travellers, bring your own converter. Make sure to request bedroom with private bathroom and access to balcony reserved for the parents. Owner mixed up and that’s disappointing! Owner was flexible for early check in and late check out with cost. Owner was helpful when we asked for assistance on taxi and available anytime you’ve asked them. With anticipation and what we know now, we would book again. "

It is located right on the seafront, with a magnificent view of the São Roque islet. It is a very quiet area, which makes for a relaxing stay. Right in front of the house is a natural swimming pool and a bike path where you can enjoy a walk or bike ride. Also within walking distance you can go to beaches, various restaurants, various bars, fruit store, pharmacy and grocery store. It is close to the main city-Ponta Delgada, where the airport is located, and a variety of services.

- "We were truly impressed by this apartment, its interior amenities, and its ideal location smack in the middle of Ponta DelGada's historic district. The apartment itself is unusually spacious for the price, with modern amenities such as an easy-to-use washing machine (we did laundry while there), two different style coffee pots, and flat-screen television. There are two bedrooms; one with an American-size "full" (large single) in an actual en-suite, featuring a bathroom much larger than most European en-suites I've seen. The other bedroom has a good-sized American "queen" bed, with a bathroom just next door (also sizable and comfortable.) Note: I use the term "American" to describe the sizes because singles, doubles, fulls, and queens/kings differ in their measurements in Europe. For two people, this was more than enough space and room but for families traveling together or with children, an ideal amount of space and comfort. The balcony (a good size and comfortably furnished) is also a nice bonus. The area is absolutely ideal; within walking distance are a host of historical sites and some of the area's best restaurants. One caution is that there's no parking from what we could tell, so if you're renting a car you might want to discuss options with the property manager. (We chose to hire tours instead of going with the car rental.) Marcilia, the property manager, was very accessible and prompt in her replies to questions (and we had plenty of questions!) She even helped us arrange for airport transportation. I highly recommend this property, even if you are just a single person or couple only in need of one bedroom. The price is still in line with most one-bedrooms we considered, and the extra space for just a few bucks more is absolutely worth it. Final note: About three flights of stairs to get to the apartment from the ground level. Just a note for those who might have an issue with climbing stairs."
