The jacuzzi was not very clean and although we loved the location, it was far from restaurants and a supermarket." - "Appartement is good for the price. The house, surrounded by no other buildings. Bus services are available and it's within 5 minutes driving to the town center and the ocean.
There are small shops, tearooms, restaurants and a health center nearby.
Very good choice for surfers and hikers. A 7ft surf is available for rent for a low price.
São Vicente is popular for it's concerts.

The property is very well situated in the North side of the island which is known for more winds and some more rain! Though, if you are looking for calm and green area away from the crowded areas in the South, you have chosen the best!
3km away from the ocean front, 4 from a surfing center, you will definitively enjoy your stay.
You have a barbecue place with magnificent view on the ocean and the valley at your disposal!

The space
Casa da Capelinha is situated in a very quiet part of Ponta Delgada on Madeira Island. This 4-Star Aparthotel is a lovingly restored Madeiran manor house with a quaint 16th-century chapel. This apartment is fully equipped and offers spectacular ocean and mountain views. The property sits 200 meters from the Atlantic Ocean and is surrounded by Madeira’s Natural Park.

Known as the "island of eternal spring”, Madeira's subtropical climate makes it a great destination to visit all year round. Guests can spend the day exploring the island or experience tranquility at the property by taking a refreshing dip in the pool amidst the sights and sounds of the Atlantic. The onsite restaurant, Baixa’s Cafe, open most evenings for dinner, allows guests to taste homemade traditional poncha and authentic and tasty dishes.

Each room has high speed WiFi so guests can work remotely or stream their favorite shows (optic fiber) and a new air conditioning system since March 2021.

Ponta Delgada’s center is just 300 meters away, and features a supermarket, pharmacy and a restaurant. The property is located 200 meters from the Atlantic Ocean and is surrounded by Madeira’s Natural Park. Hiking trails start 50 meters from Casa da Capelinha.

Location
The property is in a rural area near the village of São Vicente, where there is many restaurants and cafes.
São Vicente is located in the north part of the island of Madeira. A few kilometres away there are stunning cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.
A small grocery shop and restaurants are available within walking distance. Larger supermarkets and more restaurants are available within few minutes’ drive.
The property has easy access to the major roads.

Remarks
A car is recommended, but there are bus stops nearby.
The property does not have parking, but it is possible free parking on the side of the road and there is a free public car park 180 m beyond the property entrance.
Cleaning is done before guests check in and then a weekly maintenance cleaning is done, which includes changing bed linen and towels.
Due to the climate, there are also insects and lizards in the rural surroundings, which may be attracted to food scraps. For those who are uncomfortable with the presence of insects and lizards, we do not recommend staying in a rural area.
There is potential for noise from the road and from dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.

Conditions
1. Parties or behaviour that disturb the peace and well-being of neighbours are not allowed, especially between 10 pm and 8 am when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.
2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, arrival time and means of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.
3. Self-check-in with flexible arrival time is available via a key lockbox whose code is created and sent on the day of arrival. For face-to-face check-in, it is necessary to schedule the time and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time can be scheduled according to our availability.
4. Guests may be required to present identification upon arrival and provide missing identification details to comply with legal requirements.
5. Guests must inform about allergies, conditions or special needs before or immediately after booking in order to verify compliance and appropriate measures to be taken.
