Newly renovated main floor suite in a two unit home with seperate entrances. Well built soundproofing and insulatuon to provide privacy between units. The home is in a quiet, well established neighbourhood. The space is very well appointed with high speed internet and comprehensive cable package. Top end appliances and quality amenities throughout make for a very comfortable stay. Both bedrooms have televisions and access to movie streaming. Relax on one of the 2 decks in the back yard. Minutes from golf courses, skiing and hiking trails, parks, and playgrounds. Parking off street. All amenities provided.

Cozy, beautiful one bedroom queen size bed, lower level apartment and double Murphy bed in the living area. Enjoy the cozy gas fireplace. Fully stocked kitchen. Monthly and weekly discount. This yard was featured in the 2022 garden tour and seen as one of the most beautiful gardens by the guests. The gardens were also used for a local clothing artist for a photo shoot. This property is close to the cascades, boulevard lake, centennial Park and there are close biking and walking trails. There is a bus stop across the street, the expressway is close and the downtown core is within 5 min by vehicle. Owner on sight to ensure availabilty if needed, toiletries are available and cleaning products to spot clean should you choose.

- "A good place to stay that is affordable and comfortable " - "Overall, I’m left thinking that you get what you pay for. This unit was inexpensive and the experience reflected that. Advance communication with Bojan was hit and miss. One question I sent requesting early check in went unanswered for three days, so I had to send the request again. The eventual reply was just “We’ll try.” I never received a follow up after that. I had to get the maid to call him when I arrived. Parking for this property is problematic. On-street parking is metered and duration-limited during the daytime. There is a pay lot at the casino next door, but the rules about in-and-out are complicated. Actually finding the entrance to this property isn’t easy. The building door is not on the street listed in Vrbo, and there is no sign telling you that the door is for this property. I had to ask a server at the restaurant around the corner where it was. Once in the building door, there are stairs up one flight to the units. If stairs are a problem for you, I didn’t see any alternative. I stayed on Friday and Saturday nights. Given its location next to the casino, both nights were sufficiently noisy with outside revelers that getting to sleep was tough. The unit was clean enough, although sparse in its furnishings. The first floor entrance way looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Bottom line for me is that this property will probably work for you if you’re seriously budget constrained. But I wouldn’t go back myself. "

It was well stocked with the essentials to cook meals for the week. There was plenty of parking in the rear for over night or out front for short term during the day and because of the size of Thunder Bay, located close to everything. "

The apartment has a high ceiling, a new hardwood floor, and a newly finished bathroom with a luxury shower. Large living room and open concept kitchen.

- "Totally reasonable accommodations, but definitely seemed like the place was was intended to a real estate flip, and the owner ended up renting it out because they couldn't sell it. After booking the apartment, I hadn't heard anything from the owner about check-in, so the day we were supposed to arrive, I tried to contact the owner to get instructions. Phone went straight to voicemail, which was full (couldn't leave message). The voicemail message had a phone number for his assistant, which also directed to a full voicemail. Ended up having to call VRBO customer service to reach out to him. Not encouraging when you're about to start a 6 hour drive and cross into Canada. It was super clean and reasonably well furnished, but definitely a few things lacking. When we arrived, the mattress seemed super uncomfortable - turns out it was upside down! We flipped it over, problem solved. There was a thermostat, but it didn't appear to control anything. It was 80 degrees inside the apartment when we arrived, and we just had to open all the windows and wait for cool outside air to do it's work. There is a brand new TV mounted to the wall, but no antenna or cable, so not sure it is more than decorative. Kitchen had one frying pan and a small pot, barebones. But fine. Kitchen could definitely use a few basics - no can opener, no kitchen knives, no steak knives, no cutting board. Future renters may find the small cutting board we bought and left there. I dont expect a 5 star restaurant kitchen in a vacation rental, but those are pretty bare necessities to actually cook in my opinion. I'm not trying to be totally negative, the apartment was reasonably nice, all things considered. Centrally located in the downtown district, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, and reasonably priced. This review is more for the benefit of the owner, as this was listed as a "new property." A few tweaks and this place could really be a prime listing."

Other things to note
Hi, welcome and thank you! Please no parties or drugs on premises and quiet after 9:30pm as there are other guests who work in the early AM. Absolutely no smoking in the unit. If there is smoking there will be a $150 charge as it will have to be aerated for the next guest.
Please treat the place as your own, wash your dishes and clean up after yourself. If you have any full garbages, please put them in the shed by the house.

Upon checkout, Please lock the door and put the keys back in the lockbox. Note: there is a $50 lost key fee as I will have to change the lock.
Please tidy and do your dishes as if you’re visiting at a friends.
Please remove all garbage and recycling from the room and put in shed when you check out.
Please put all used linens and towels on the floor in the bathroom and we will launder them.

The property is located in one of the oldest parts of the city where you can take a stroll and see blocks of what our city looked like in the early 1900s. There is a private area with deck and bbq for your use with some chairs and a small propane fire pit for those chilly nights

Other things to note
The atmosphere although has some modern design has been kept as close to how it would have appeared when it was first developed in the 1940s. The house itself was built in the early 1900s and we were informed by a family member that once lived in the home that her father built the apartment for income after he returned from the Second World War.
For some entertainment and those who loved video games in the 80s and 90s there is a gaming console for those nights you want a different type of blast from the past

This is a very nice peaceful and centrally located place. It has wifi and a hardwired work space. It is located in the Bay and Algoma shopping and dining district and is located above the famous Cheese Encounter. It has a large deck with a BBQ. Prepare a light meal in the practical kitchenette or head to one of the many great restaurants and eateries within a 5 minute walk. It has a comfy queen bed and a small but clean bathroom. Enjoy Prime and Crave while relaxing on the large couch.

The space
This unit is located above The Cheese Encounter in the very trendy Bay and Algoma district. It is on the back of the building and is located on the second floor. You access it from the back lane and there is a private fenced parking lot for your vehicle. There are at least 10 restaurants and eateries within a 5 minute walk

The guests of this unit have sole access to a 500 square foot deck with some loungers and a BBQ for grilling.

The sofa opens to a queen bed for more sleeping space if needed, with extra linens available. There is a smart TV so you can log in using your Netflix or Apple ID password for programming. The kitchen is fully stocked with the equipment you will need if you want to enjoy a meal at home. There is a 3 piece bathroom with most things you will need, including towels and shampoo. Parking is available in the driveway for two vehicles. There is a cute but timid cat who lives upstairs. She does not go downstairs but be aware in case you have severe allergies as heating is forced air.

Restaurants within walking distance include, Boston Pizza, Bonobo’s (vegetarian/vegan), Shooter's Tavern, A&W, Java Hut, Robin's Donuts, Sushi Station, The Madhouse, Nook, The Growing Season and Rebel Salad.

You'll be near the Port Arthur arts and pub scene. Don't feel like going out? Thunder Bay has a number of great local eateries that deliver through Skip the Dishes, Door Dash or UberEats. Remind them to deliver to the side door for you.

This Heritage home has been transformed into a triplex so there is another Airbnb and another long term tenants in the building. The other guests and tenants keep to themselves and the building is generally very quiet however you will hear some noises between units and squeaky floors as the building is very old.

There are stairs to every entrance of the building and up to your unit. The stairs to the basement are also a bit awkward. Watch your step! If you’re heading down to do laundry.
