The apartment offers a surface of 90m2 lined with an additional 90m2 of terrace and external passageways. Free on the 3 sides, you will find, at any time of the day, a corner of shade and sun. To best accommodate your desires, individual electric blinds will allow you to best adjust the sun exposure and brightness. Villefranche is located half way betwween Nice and Monaco. Famous for its wonderfull bay, close by the Cap Ferrat peninsula.
The apartement is located in the heart of the village, one street behind the picturesque mediterranean harbor, close to the storical 'Rue Osbcure'from the 14th C where a lot of movies had been shooted, the Cocteau Chapel, and also near to the Citadel from the 16th c. which has museums inside, an open-air theater with cinema and concerts (from end of june to begining of september). The apartment is close to a lot of charming restaurants, bars, grocery stores, butcher, bakers, pharmacy, shops,diving school, boat hire and boat excursions available from the quay side. Local market on saturday & wednesday morning, and antiques market on sunday.
The apartment is 10 minutes walking distance to the famous french language institute 'Institut de Français'.

Villefranche is very close to Nice (10 minutes drive) and Monaco - Monte-Carlo (20 minutes drive). The train station and bus station are 10 minutes away walking from the apartment. Location: Catch the train at Nice St. Augustin Station (10 minutes walk from the airport) and travel only 3 short stops to Villefranche-sur-Mer. In fact, easy walking distance to the railway station provides the possibility of travelling the length of the picturesque Cote d'Azur from Menton near the Italian border, visiting Monaco, Nice, Antibes, Juan Le Pins, Cannes and Théoule-sur-Mer. Alternatively, take the airport bus to the central depot in Nice. From there, travel by bus
(Menton/Ventimiglia) for 15 minutes through stunning scenery, alighting at the apartment. Car hire from the airport is available by arrangement and the easiest route to the apartment is to follow the Bay des Anges to Nice Port then proceed along the Basse Corniche past the centre of Villefranche, finding the well sign-posted Les Restanques some 300 metres further on the right.

- "This is the third year we have stayed in Virginie's great apartment when we go to the Monaco Grand Prix. Facilities are excellent and the view of the bay is wonderful. It's simply perfect! Even though we had to hike up the hill each day for classes at the Institut de Francais, we found there were big advantages to staying in the Vieille Ville. There are lots of restaurants close by, it is a short walk down to the waterfront, and it is close to the train station. The views are as wonderful as they appear in the pictures and the apartment is very comfortable. The building is old, which is reflected in the old-style tile floor, but the bathroom and kitchen are recently refurbished and everything worked! We especially loved the shower! We used the kitchen a lot and it is quite well outfitted for a rental apartment. The furnishings are basic but worked well for us. You do need to realize this apartment is on the 5th (US) floor and there is no elevator. The Vieille Ville is a pedestrian only area with stairs on the little streets, so no direct access for taxis or cars, through there is a road just above this area. Getting our luggage up and down was a challenge - which we fully anticipated after reading the description - so travel lightly if you can. "

- "This property is amazing. It is located in a well-established apartment building, literally right on the Med in a darling village next to Nice. Parking is on site—a huge benefit in France. It’s convenient to every place you’ll want to see in Med, although restaurants are not within easy walking distance, so you’ll need a car. The apartment is huge by French standards and the views from the living room, dining room and master bedroom are amazing. There are sliding glass doors opening up to the large, wrap-around balcony from those three rooms. This is obviously a well-loved family vacation home; it is furnished with lovely, old French furniture. So many places in France these days are decorated a la moderne…this home is authentic and everything is excellent quality. We found that working with the owner was very easy and pleasant. We will definitely try to book it again! (There were 2 of us—my husband and me; there is a spacious second bedroom with a lovely bathroom—we could have been very comfortable with another couple or another individual."

- "I’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals. Often the photos make a place seem better than it actually turns out to be. This apartment is an exception to that experience: it exceeds anything a photo can capture. The setting is stunning: from the deck you can see the entirety of the Bay of Villefranche, and lying in bed, you’re looking at the night lights of Cap Ferrat. The interior is ideal for 2 people (although it can accomodate 4 using the queen-sized fold-down bed). It’s a personal space that’s stylish and modern, with playful and irreverent art, and it has all the gadgets you could need: a clothes washer, a fully equipped kitchen with a Nescafé pod coffeemaker, a Bang & Olufsen TV and a B&O Stereo System. Everything was extremely clean, well-kept—and it even smelled good! The home uses an HVAC diffuser system to keep everything smelling fresh. The owner has really paid attention to the details here! The location itself is wonderful, too: high enough on the hill to have amazing views, but low enough to easily get to the old town and the train station of Villefranche. A word of warning, though: walking downhill from here is easy, but you should be fit enough to climb some hills if you’re going up! Villefranche is a lovely—but steep—town. Honestly, I liked it. French food can be rich, so it felt good to burn some of those calories off walking home! The bottom line is this: If you have the chance to rent this space, do it!
