The building is old, which is reflected in the old-style tile floor, but the bathroom and kitchen are recently refurbished and everything worked! We especially loved the shower! We used the kitchen a lot and it is quite well outfitted for a rental apartment. The furnishings are basic but worked well for us. You do need to realize this apartment is on the 5th (US) floor and there is no elevator. The Vieille Ville is a pedestrian only area with stairs on the little streets, so no direct access for taxis or cars, through there is a road just above this area. Getting our luggage up and down was a challenge - which we fully anticipated after reading the description - so travel lightly if you can. "
