Joy's Rest Cabin - Whangamata offers accommodations in Whangamata, a 15-minute walk from Whangamata Beach. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking, and free Wifi. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Set in our orchard area of our 5 acre property which borders the Coromandel State Park. Landscaped grounds with beautiful native bush backdrop. Our tiny studio has only what you need and no more but is full of charm and in a wonderful setting.
There is a beautiful bush walk from the property up to the Wentworth Waterfall, gold mines in the back yard, landscaped grounds, native bush backdrop with native birds.
A 10 minute drive to shops + beach
We take guests health and safety seriously and have a full first aid kit in the apartment and a defibrillator onsite in case of a heart attack.
Guest access
We have a young friendly German Shorthaired Pointer on the property who will love to come and visit you so if you are scared of dogs you should not book this cottage.

The property is absolutely stunning and makes you feel like you're far away from everything with the sound of the river flowing, bird song and surrounded by lush bush, the best part is town is only a 5 min drive away. If you are looking for a place to ground yourself and unwind from city life this is the place to go, it's only a cruisy 3 hour drive from Auckland and the scenery only gets better the closer you get. The cottage is cosy, warm and kitted out with everything you need with cooking facilities, BBQ and super comfy bed. They even went the extra mile with some complimentary beverages not to mention the delicious warm cookies (we turned up just at the right time). We highly recommend staying here 😊 treat yourself!"

Great family Bach, holiday home in the beautiful town of Whangamata. The place is well equipped for kids and is in a great location, very handy to town, beach & supermarket.

Please note the bach sleeps 5 - but there is a MAX of 3 adults.

Parking on road please keep driveway clear .

Perfect for an affordable couples getaway or solo escape, the studio-style cabin has 1x Queen bed, heatpump/air-conditioning unit, kitchenette, BBQ and bathroom with shower and toilet. Wifi and Smart TV included. The kitchenette has a mini-fridge, microwave, jug and toaster, but there are no cooking or laundry facilities. Bedding and towels are provided for you.

The space
Whilst the cabin is located on the owners property, you have privacy from the main house and no facilities are shared.
