The master bedroom has king size bed with half bath and TV. The guest bedroom has 2 XL twin beds. Both rooms open to a screened lanai where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Welcome to our Cottage! If you are looking for a simple, quiet, stress-free place to enjoy the beach, this is it. It's not a fancy condo-- no long hallways, distant parking, elevators, or crowds-- and there are no streets to cross to reach the beach--just a sandy walk from your screened porch door. The Cottage is a duplex, and this listing is for the larger side. VRBO #327896 will show you the smaller side. The two sides share a screened porch facing the beach.

The cottage was constructed in 1916 or so, as a caretaker's home for a larger house which is now gone. It has been carefully maintained and updated, but has retained the charm of a bygone era.

The interior walls are heart pine, and so are the floors, refinished by hand. Furnishings have been chosen for comfort-- a rattan recliner and matching sleeper sofa in the living room, dining table with leaf (in case you would like to have a guest or two for supper), and king size bed in the bedroom.

The cottage is shaded by ancient Australian pine trees and has a comfortable shared screened porch for a front-row view of the sunsets and stars. With the windows open at night, you can hear the surf!

Walk directly out the screen porch door, and down to the beach--no streets to cross. Or, sit out on the patio and enjoy your coffee and newspaper, or cocktails. Our guests tell us that the best part of the patio area, (besides the view) is it's size-- plenty of room for spreading out.

We are located a block away from the Cafe on the Beach, convenient for all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts, quick lunches, and relaxing dinners. The beach-front playground is a block and a half away. Take the free trolley and see the rest of the island.

In the slice of heaven that is Anna Maria Island, this personable resort is perfectly situated in the narrow area between Sarasota bay and the sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
On your stay you can enjoy the resort’s heated pool lined with royal palms and overlooking the Bay, or take a few steps to reach the white sand beaches. There's a pier that you can fish off of or just sit on and watch the sky hues and wildlife.
Our cottage has a shaded porch and a cozy picnic area perfect for barbecues, nestled under a gazebo covered with tropical foliage.
The inside is decorated in a casual island style, with a light, open-space kitchen and living area with a brand new sofa-bed and chair. The Kitchen and bathroom have just been updated. Driftwood color floors have been laid throughout the cottage. In the bedroom there's a king size bed and a walk-in closet. The living area has a comfortable pull-out sofa bed.
The kitchen is well-equipped with anything you need to cook a great meal in the cottage.
You will have 2 free parking places available to you.
Beach towels and umbrellas are provided at the office and lounge chairs are on the beach for your use as a resort guest.

With just a fifteen minute walk or a short ride on the free trolley, you can reach Bridge Street, a charming shopping district where you can enjoy the small shops, boutiques, fresh food and mini golf. The trolley can take you up and down the island to explore different beaches, shops and restaurants.
The position on the south end of the island makes it easy to reach Longboat Key and St. Armand's Circle for out-of-the-ordinary shopping and dining. You can easily get to Sarasota to see The Ringling Museum, Sarasota Jungle Gardens, and the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Great 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom cottage on the quiet north end of island. The house is conveniently located and within walking distance (two short blocks) to the beach and close to the intersection of Fern Street/Alamanda Road. This great getaway sleeps up to 4.

The cottage has an open floor plan and it is about 900 sq ft. There is a bedroom with 1/2 bath inside and a laundry room. There is a full bath out of the bedroom which makes it very comfortable when there are more than 2 guests with. The living room has a sofa, which also becomes a comfortable queen bed. It is not the kind where the mattress is folded when in use as a sofa. My favorite spot of the house is the private outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The side door leads to the patio where you will find an outdoor dining area complete with oversized umbrella, a high-top table, outdoor shower, and electric grill. You will also find a beach cart to transport beach essentials to and from the beach.

The house is located on the very desirable quiet north end of the island. Specifically 2 short blocks from the very end. It is very peaceful and beautiful around this quite area with very low traffic, if any at all. You can easily travel across the island on the free trolley, which has many stops throughout the island. There are also many places who offer bikes and golf carts for rent. There are many restaurants, small shops and a Publix supermarket all with in 10 min max driving and reachable by bikes and golf carts. You can take a very short easy walk to the famous Rod and Reel pier/restaurant.

A guest had this to day: "Songbird is a cute little purple house on a quiet side street on Anna Maria Island. I referred to the house as little, it is really quite spacious & comfortable. This is our 6th stay at Songbird & we are looking forward to our next stay. This trip we were on side B but have also stayed on Side A, both are equally as nice.
The kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking essentials. Pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, blender etc. There is also a charcoal BBQ in the backyard.
The living room is open and airy with a love-seat, comfortable couch & a large TV. The master bedroom has a king bed with a comfortable and supportive mattress. Nightstands, a dresser and closet gives plenty of room to unpack so you won`t feel like you are living out of your suitcase while staying here. The 2nd bedroom is quite large & has twin beds. According to my daughter and travel companion the beds and room are very comfortable.
Washer & dryer are located in a porch outback and shared with people renting the other side of the house. We have never had a problem with this, as knowing it is shared anyone keeps their eye on the laundry and removes it as soon as it is finished.
The wi-fi reaches the backyard and there is free US/Canada wide long distance on the house phone.
I hope this helps with your decision to stay here. We highly recommend it."

Is it perfect? No way, but it is clean and comfortable.

1. The Gulf beach access is 4 blocks but 3 are short blocks and it ends up being 3 in length and having done it a number of times you cut the corners at 64th street and Holmes Blvd and when you arrive at Gulf Drive and 65th there is the beach access and a few parking places. The real good thing is that you don't cross Marina Drive [busy street]. Some guests have driven over and parked or dropped off people and headed back to Songbird and walked back to the beach access.

2. Located in the middle of the block on a quiet street.

3. Free fast wifi and Washer and Dryer at no charge. Hair dryer also.

4. Everpure H-300 under sink mounted water filter with glass filler faucet and hooked up to the ice maker too.

5. There is central air installed in 2019.

6. New refrigerator 2025 with automatic ice maker in the freezer. New stove and microwave too.

7. The BBQ is a charcoal type 2025 and I do not supply coals.

8. The kitchen has been updated with upper white cabinets in early 2000's and is fully stocked with cooking utensils and almost always salt and pepper. Also all linens, towels and so on.

9. New base kitchen cabinets 2025 with a very quiet dishwasher. Quartz countertops.

10. House landline phone provided for local calls and free long distance to North America and Territories. Canadians like this idea a lot.

11. New 2025 King Bed mattress and box spring. New 2025 medium firm twin mattresses and box springs Maximum 4 people and maximum 3 adults minimum age 25.

12. The closest restaurant Ugly Grouper is about 5 blocks and is popular. Scott’s Deli is 3 blocks and top shelf Key Lime Pie.

13. 7 blocks to Island Shopping Center [think 1960] with restaurants, clothing stores, hardware store, art gallery, parrots and more.

14. Holmes Beach public library is 5 blocks away. Sweet library!

15. Updated kitchen and bath fixtures 2025

16. No stairs here as an easy living ground level place.

17. TV is a 65" flat thin screen 2025. Samsung QLED

18. 2 bedrooms and 1 Bathroom with step-in shower.

19. No pets and no smoking. A number of people verify no pets as they have allergies and, yes, no pets.

20. The cleaner has been cleaning for about 3 years and does nice work.

21. The patio is covered and has a table with chairs.

22. Outdoor shower when home from the beach.

23. I supply dish soap, dishwasher pods, hand soap, one or more rolls of paper towels, more than one roll of TP, dish sponge, laundry soap no scent and garbage bags.

24. A free trolley has a stop 1 block away to go north and a stop to go south is 3 blocks at the beach access. 6am-10pm and runs at 20 minute intervals.

25. Parking space for two cars.

26. Backyard is a nice size.

I have found that people arrive and unload luggage and head to the beach. The busiest street on the island in this spot is Marina Drive and you do NOT cross it on the way to the beach. The access is a 3-4 block stroll. And the property is located in the middle of the street not on a busy corner or street.

Your boutique chic, adorable cottage is just a 2-minute walk to coffee shops, the only late-night watering hole on the island, the local Walgreens, and a bike rental store so you never need to drive anywhere. But if you did want to head out, the free trolley that runs up and down the island makes getting around a cinch!

Lastly there is a washer & dryer located on the back of the property— this laundry area is shared by our two cottages (we have this "Sun Cottage" and a "Surf Cottage" which you can see on our website if you google Postcard Cottages AMI)

- "What a wonderful beach cottage. Everything was clean and updated as described. We loved the proximity to Bean’s Point. We did not get in the car once after we arrived. Easy walk to the beach (lovely beach cart helped) and short bike rides to evening dinners. Beds were super comfortable and plenty of towels for the 3 of us. - "Proximity to the beach was great, not much of a walk at all compared to other places we have stayed. Appreciated the heavy-duty wagon, chairs and umbrellas for use at the beach. Also liked the addition of the washer and dryer. When we originally inquired before locking down the rental we were told there was none. Pool area was awesome - like our own tropical oasis ... that was the best part of the property. Enjoyed the balcony off the kitchen too. Teens enjoyed their own private balcony as well. Plenty of room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 teens). Thanks for the memories!"

- "The home is definitely on the small side, but beautifully decorated and furnished. It was the perfect size for myself, and my three children. The pool was beautiful and very clean. The only thing I would change is to have access to the pool from inside the house - but that isn't a big deal. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a meal, the bedrooms were nice and clean. The bathroom was very nice, and they provided plenty of linens of the 4 of us. The washer/dryer was a plus for sure. The location was nice and only about a 5 minute walk to the beach access. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone interested in staying on Holmes beach/AMI!"

Welcome to our newly updated ground level 2 beds/2bath unit A of the triplex located on the southern end of Holmes Beach, just a few steps from the beach(2-3 min walk).
There are no busy streets to cross and even footpath to the beach leading from the back of the property. We had minimal hurricane damage- just change flooring and updated furniture.
Large shared pool is located in the backyard as well as a separate patio and grill for each unit.
You have the option to heat the pool. Your room charge covers the the pool temperature up to 75F. It’s additional $150 for week stay or less to heat the pool above 75F.
Please let us know if you wish to heat the pool so we have it ready for your upcoming stay. Fire pit for colder nights is a great addition to all amenities.
Washer and dryer in each unit for your use. The property includes free wireless internet. Each unit has been updated and is comfortably furnished. We provide beach towels, beach chairs and beach trolley as well. Kitchen is fully equipped.It's quiet, yet close to shopping, restaurants and trolley stops.

Seabreeze Cottage is situated on a quiet road with access to the beach, via a leafy lane, just 200 feet away.

The property, which is accessed via a set of exterior steps, is very well furnished and equipped offering everything we hope you would need to enjoy the perfect holiday. The master bedroom has a King size bed and benefits from an en-suite bathroom with bath with overhead shower, basin and WC. The 2nd bedroom has Twin beds which can be joined to make a King and the family bathroom has a shower, basin and WC. The sofa in the sitting room can also be made into a bed which allows the property to sleep up to 6 people.

As the property is built up on stilts it benefits from a lovely raised wooden deck area which is resonably private thanks to the palms trees and shrubs surrounding it. There is off street parking for 1 car (maybe 2 depending on size).

Shops, bars and restaurants can be found within easy walking distance and the free trolley bus stop is just a few minutes walk away which enables you to venture further afield on the island without having to use your car.

Seabreeze is a newly restored "old-Florida" cottage with living room, full kitchen, full bath and laundry on the first floor. Upstairs in main cottage is a king bed suite with ensuite bath and private balcony. It also has a small futon bed perfect for a child or teen. Just across the deck is a separate, private guest suite with queen bed and ensuite bath. The view from the rooftop deck is out of this world with bay and ocean views - perfect for morning coffee or a sunset drink. The courtyard has al fresco dining, BBQ and a refreshing hot/cold outdoor shower for after the beach or for our "4-legged" guests.

The Anna Maria Cottage is a ground floor, one level, end unit home close to everything and comes with a golf cart to get around!

Once inside, the Beach House feel will surround you with an open floor plan, lively colors, and tiled floors. This two-bedroom, one-bath home features upgraded kitchen and bathroom for a comfortable stay. Beautiful patio at the front and rear of the house allows you to relax comfortably on the tropical
island with comfortable furniture. There is a grill in the backyard for your grilling pleasure.

In addition, a golf cart is provided for you to explore the island, go to the beaches, eat of the local restaurants or shop the beachy boutiques on the island. We also have beach chairs and umbrellas for a relaxing day at the beach or kayak on the bay with the two person kayak provided for our guests to use.

Our house is located at the end of a five home complex, on the quiet north end of the island with easy access to the free trolley that runs daily along the island and is also within walking or biking distance of several island shops.

The appliances were exceptional and the beds were comfortable We had two small pets, and the fenced in, grassy yard was perfect for them. PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION TERMS WHEN BOOKING ON VRBO

At the time of booking your credit card will be charged by BEACH BOUTIQUE RENTALS for your deposit payment. You will also see a separate charge by VRBO for their service fee.

We require an initial 25% deposit with final payment due 60 days prior to your arrival date. Full payment will be due immediately if the arrival date is within 60 days.

Although the VRBO policy states no refunds, we will refund in the event that you need to cancel your reservation prior to 60 days before your arrival date. We will implement our Beach Boutique cancellation policy as indicated on the rental agreement. This allows for a refund of the deposit paid minus a $250 cancellation fee and the original management fee. Within 60 days of arrival there are no refunds.

PET POLICY:

If you wish to bring a small dog or cat please notify us. A fee of $150 + tax is required in advance for each pet you are bringing.

Due to property insurance policies and liability concerns NO dangerous breeds or aggressive animals are allowed. The following breeds (purebred or crossbred) are not permitted:

Pit Bull, Akita, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Siberian Husky, Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Chows, Any Wolf-dog hybrid, Any other dog that has been known to have bitten anyone

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We generally require a minimum stay of 7 nights with Saturday check-in during the high season. We are more flexible in the off season so please send us a message if your dates appear unavailable. We may be able to accommodate you!

Housekeeping will provide a starter supply of toilet paper, soap, and garbage bags but guests will likely need to replenish the supply during their stay.

Our cleaning fee includes a professional linen service. When you stay with us you can rest assured that you will have high quality linens such as those at a fine hotel. We also provide plenty of luxury bath and beach towels.

Anna Maria Island is a family community and the city imposes a strict noise ordinance. Please adhere to our good neighbor policy and observe the local quiet hours between 10 pm and 8 am. No loud music or use of the pool is allowed during these hours along with any other noise which may disturb the neighbors.

Welcome to High Tide Haven where you are just 2 blocks from the beach! Relax in the private heated pool or take a much-needed nap in one of the lounge chairs on the covered balcony. This vacation rental is located right above a small locally owned business, this elevated villa has a staircase situated in the back of the building for privacy. Get ready to explore the local life by being right in the center of Anna Maria City.

High Tide Haven is a newly renovated three-bedroom, two-bathroom blissful escape. The open floorplan will make everyone feel together whether they are relaxing on the couch, eating a snack at the table, or prepping their favorite meal. The kitchen is fully equipped and has stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and a coffee maker to give you that extra pep in your step. Welcome to Sea Breeze, our newly renovated home which is the Second Floor of a 2-story property at the North-end of Anna Maria Island. It includes 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms, a private dock, and an unobstructed, natural view of Bimini Bay. Smart TV, WiFi, free Netflix, washer/dryer, and a full kitchen are available. You can sailboat directly to Bimini Bay, walk to Pine Ave and City Pier, or eat in nearby restaurants. Our private home has everything you need for a perfect beach vacation in AMI!

The space
The entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows frames the bay view inside the property. You can enjoy the beautiful water and wildlife when you're sitting on the couch or cooking in the kitchen. The second floor allows you to have a higher perspective of the canal, making you feel like you live right above the water!

Or have a BBQ and enjoy a relaxing drink on the balcony, where there's an outdoor dining table and chairs for you to have a chill in nature, closer to wildlife. The BBQ is free to use.

The fully equipped kitchen with granite countertop. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking, large grill, and Keurig (starter pods provided) for your coffee/tea needs. Enjoy dinner in the dining area or out on the balcony. Don't want to cook? The home is walking distance away from multiple excellent restaurants (some right on the beach!).

* You can park your boat at the private dock. Please note that the dock can't lift boats. Please let me know if you need to park your boat. There are four docks in the back. You can dock your boat on the left-hand side of the sailboat (when you face the water) . There is a spiral staircase leading to the second-floor balcony.
* The cottage is a two-unit building, and this one is the Second floor unit with a beautiful waterfront view.

This home is managed by Beach Boutique Rentals, a local Anna Maria Island vacation rental management company.

Bird of Paradise Villa has been completely remodeled in 2025. You will love how it seamlessly blends Old Florida charm with a fresh, mid-century modern design featuring clean lines and a stylish, contemporary feel.

The accommodations include a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area, and two luxurious bedrooms with king and queen beds. Cable TV is provided in the living room and in each bedroom. There are two full baths, one with a walk in shower and one with a shower/tub combination.

Bird of Paradise also has its own secluded front porch surrounded by beautiful hanging orchids and tropical plants. From the porch you can also take in the sights and sounds of the courtyard fountain. It's the most relaxing spot to enjoy a good book or unwind with a nice glass of wine. There is also a private back entrance with an outdoor shower.

The long-time owners of this amazing property have thought of everything you’ll need for the perfect beach vacation. You may never want to leave the Villas but when you do venture out, the beach path is only steps away and there are several shops and restaurants within walking distance.

On the grounds you will also find a large laundry facility with free laundry machines for your convenience. The cottage also includes a professional linen service. When you stay with us you can rest assured that you will have high quality luxury linens. We also provide plenty of bath and beach towels.

The Island Garden Villas are composed of 6 individual and private cottages. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a large family get-together this is the ideal spot. You can rent one or all of the cottages. Perfect spot for destination wedding guests!

We generally require a minimum stay of 7 nights with Saturday check-in during the high season. We are more flexible in the off season so please send us a message if your dates appear unavailable. We may be able to accommodate you!

The space
The Starfish Cottage has been renovated while maintaining all the charm of an old Florida Key West style bungalow. Enjoy the new private heated pool with lush tropical setting. The kitchen provides plenty of storage , a full sized refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, range and microwave. There's also an outdoor grill. The large screened in porch features a vaulted ceiling, large ceiling fans, plenty of seating and swing bench. On the porch a dining table accommodates 8 and a small bistro table seats 2.

Inside you'll find an open concept living space where dining area, kitchen and living room have been newly furnished with luxurious deep seat couches and lounge chairs, original hardwood floors add to the charm. Fresh linens, bath and beach towels are provided along with basic toiletries. Decor has been collected over time and obtained from local artists for a unique old Florida style.

Down the hall you'll find two comfortable bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed and large closets.Master bedroom with en suite bathroom and another full bathroom is conveniently located in the hall. Climb up the spiral staircase to the quaint loft which has 2 twin beds.

The cottage is in a terrific location, immediately east of Gulf Drive, a quick 200-yard walk will bring you right to the white-sand beach. With Pine Avenue and the village of Anna Maria 2 short blocks to the north, you can walk to everything. Pine Avenue offers restaurants, shopping, community theater, historic Roser Church, and the Anna Maria Historical Society Museum. A free trolley is available to get you around the entire island all the way south to Coquina Beach. Scooter and golf cart rentals are located within 100 yards.

Free WiFi, flatscreen cable/smart TV, books, and board games provide entertainment, while a private washer/dryer lets you take care of laundry. Keyless entry at the front door ensures easy access and security. The driveway has space to park four vehicles.

A NOTE ABOUT CHILDREN: Kids love the loft area. However, the spiral staircase could be dangerous for younger children. Therefore, this property is not recommended for children under 8 years old.

Other things to note
POOL: Our pools are services weekly. Due to the tropical nature of the island , it is not unusual to find unexpected debris in the pool. Pool heaters will not operate if the outside temperatures get below 60F . There will be days when weather conditions will to allow pool heaters to accommodate swimming. No credit, discount, and /or rate adjustments can be granted for circumstances beyond our control.

NOISE: Anna Maria Island, Florida has a noise ordinance to maintain the tranquility of the island. The ordinance prohibits loud noises during quiet hours, which are from 10 PM to 8 AM every day.
