A Historic Cigar-Makers Conch Home, privately owned by a native hospitable family in the heart of Downtown, a few minutes walk from Duval St. Accommodates 1-2 couples. Your car will be safe in this parking spot, nowhere near the street. The Cottage is set back from the sidewalk so you are not subjected to traffic noises.

Note two things:
1. The price listed is for 2 guests only. There is an additional charge of $75/night for an additional guest.

2. The cottage is set back from the street but nearby at Hank's there is live music...luckily
as of around 10.18.23 - their music is now set further back from us! The music ends at midnight.

Our Bayfront hideaway cottage is located in the middle Keys on a small island called 'Conch Key', and offers some of the best sailing in the Gulf anywhere in the Keys. Beautiful open water views abound! Easy access to great fishing, catching lobsters, boating, scuba diving and snorkeling. Amenities include a marina with store, boat ramps, swimming pool, spa, tennis courts, and much more, in a gated 24-hour security resort. Cudjoe Key is close to both Key West and Marathon in the section of the Florida Keys known as the Lower Keys. This provides easy access to events such as the offshore powerboat races, sailing regattas, fishing tournaments, Fantasy Fest, Star Party, and many more. The Lower Keys include well-known destinations such as Big Pine Key, Summerland, and Sugarloaf.

Check in after 4pm on date of arrival and Check-out is 10am on departure date.

Please note that maximum occupancy for this property is 3 people. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room which can accommodate an extra guest if necessary.

Venture Out charges a one-time resort fee upon entry of ($125.00), payable at the gate upon arrival. When you arrive at Venture Out , you will go to the Venture Out Office (or the Guard Gate if it is after hours) to pay the fee and to receive your parking pass. Credit Card or Cash only are accepted for this fee.

Only one car is permitted at each lot. Transportation vehicles must fit in the driveway or will have to be moved into overflow parking for a small nightly fee. If you have an extra car you will need to park in the overflow parking lot and pay the appropriate nightly fee up to 14 days maximum pending availability.

There is no jet ski trailer parking available. Boat trailer parking may be available, subject to availability and for a fee. The rates are $5-$10 per night depending on size.

NO COMMERCIAL VEHICLES ALLOWED. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE, THAT VENTURE OUT WILL PROVIDE ANY OVERFLOW PARKING SPACES FOR ADDITIONAL UNIT BOAT TRAILERS OR VEHICLES. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

- "My husband and I just returned to KW for a last minute trip for some fun and R&R. Check in was a breeze, close to airport and a great little find. Clean, spacious, well equipped and perfect walking distance to Duvall, Mallory Square and the marinas. We rented a golf cart from JV around the corner and had to park it at his lot when not in use because there is one (1) free space for the whole street. We were lucky enough to get it once. If you rented bikes, you could have easily parked them inside the fence. But golf carts park like cars and parking is expensive in KW. The parking and one other negative for us, that was part of our reason for leaving was the bed. For us it was very firm and uncomfortable, same with pillows. That said, beds aren’t universal so if a firm bed is good for you, definitely lock this place in. With the combo of beds and pillows I may have gotten 2-3 hours a night of sleep. So we decided to leave one day early, just exhausted from walking on average 5 miles a day and not sleeping well. Again- beds aren’t universally comfortable. The place had everything you need, well appointed and some goodies left from other travelers as well. Had one maintenance email I sent and the guy was there in literally 10 minutes. Great communicators and a great place. The pool was also nice, quiet little spot."

Q. What are rules for this Rental at Monroe County?
A. Minimum Rental is 28 Days to a single family or party (no subleases allowed). This code from MONROE county is strictly enforced, and there are simply no exceptions to this rule. Rentals less than 28 days will never be considered. We typically request all guests to sign a lease with a minimum of 28 consecutive day stays to be protected.

Q. What is the max size of the boat we can bring and what are your good neighbor policies?
A. Only 24 to 30 ft. boats are allowed. While we do not guarantee tide or launch conditions, the average high tide is around 5 ft plus and low tide is 3.5 feet plus. The max boat size that has been comfortably docked has been 34 feet. Renters can boat and fish at their own risk following national, state and county rules. Guests can enjoy themselves within property lot lines. There is no trespassing into neighboring lots or swimming or boating into neighboring docks. See navigation map (in photo gallery) for entry and exit to from dock to the bay. Quiet time is from 9 pm to 8am. We are the few places that have a private boat ramp and incredible sunset views.

Colony Poolside is a charming one bedroom bungalow located in Historic Old Town Key West. This one level cottage has an open living/dining area, full kitchen and spacious bedroom with king size bed. Located in a compound with a large shared pool.

The space
Located in The Colony, a secluded compound just steps from Duval Street, Colony Poolside is a peaceful retreat. Enter the home through the serene and inviting living space, accented with blue and white decor, wood floors and pops of color from nautical-themed accents and artwork. A vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and huge transom windows that extend all the way to the tip of the roof add a bright and airy feeling to the cozy space.

The fully appointed kitchen is attached to the living area and features a generous sit-down bar and charming open shelving. Through the French doors lies a private deck for sunning, relaxing, grilling and al fresco dining.

The bedroom is accented with wainscoting and features cathedral ceilings, a king size bed, and flat screen television.

Back outside the front door is a porch with Adirondack chairs for enjoying a morning Cuban coffee or a twilight glass of wine amongst the palm trees. The large Colony swimming pool, which is shared with other residents, is located just steps away. Beaches, shopping, and award-winning restaurants are just a short walk or bike ride from your front door.

The Jungle is a dog-friendly cottage in Key Largo Cottages. We are located on the bay side in Key Largo, near some of the best dive/snorkel sites, island excursions, bars, restaurants, & the Everglades. Experience water fun! A stay in this cottage comes with unlimited use of our kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, snorkel gear, fishing gear, &, of course, the use of one of our 22' sailboats, if you have recent sailing experience on keel boats! You won't find a better deal in the Keys!

The space
The Jungle Cottage was originally part of the fishing camp back in the 50s which has now been decorated and custom-painted by a local artist who shares the same name as the popular sailboat (The Morgan).

The Jungle has a king size bed, bunk beds in a semi-separate room which opens to the main room, rattan furniture, medium size refrigerator, 4-burner gas stove and oven, cooking and dining utensils, microwave, and coffee pot with filters. It has a full bathroom with a conventional shower. Please note: We don’t provide toiletries; however, we do provide beach towels, bath towels, and linens for all the beds in the cottage. It has its own private fenced in backyard with a jungle setting that includes a picnic table and gas barbecue grill.

The Jungle accommodates 2 adults and 2 children.

This is a dog-friendly cottage. We only allow one dog up to 50 lbs or two dogs that equal up to 50 lbs. We charge an initial fee of $45 for the first 3 nights and charge $35 per night per dog plus tax for more than 3 nights payable via credit card before arrival. We also have a dog policy that the person who makes the reservation must complete before arrival. There are some breeds that we don't allow. Please contact us for that list.

The property was originally hand-built in the 1950’s as a remote fishing camp with the bricks used to build the cottages also hand-made on site before building was commenced. Many upgrades have been completed over the last 20 years and more planned. Our property and amenities are in good working condition, but as normal, unforeseen things may arise from time to time. The Florida Keys is teeming with wildlife, like manatees, dolphins, birds, large/small lizards, and insects as would be expected from a tropical setting. That being said, Key Lime Sailing Club and Cottages is not a brand new 5-star resort. Guests can expect a friendly host, a clean air-conditioned cottage in an original Florida Keys resort. We are a great place to relax and we are in a excellent location to enjoy a warm tropical vacation.

Step out the back door into your personal slice of paradise. The tiki patio is outfitted with a table, chairs, and a grill, ideal for outdoor dining. Take a refreshing dip in the sparkling pool, which features an umbrella and built-in seating with three in-water stools—perfect for cooling off while watching the sun set over the tranquil canal.

Boating enthusiasts will appreciate the composite dock, with space to accommodate boats up to 24 feet from the front of the boat to the back of the motor. It’s equipped with two dock cleats for secure tie-up, a boarding ladder for low tide, and posts for your fenders. Best of all, you're just minutes away from the Gulf and the Atlantic, offering easy access to both!

If you don't have a boat, you can rent one and/or there are several fishing charters in the area, one by the name of Northstar Charters & Tours, just 0.4 mi from the home, a two-minute drive, or you can use the fishing poles at the house and try to catch some fish out on the canal out back!

Less than a mile away, you will find the wonderful Sunset Park Beach, Sparkys tiki bar restaurant and in Marathon, the favorites are Porky’s, Island Fish Co., Florida Steak & Lobster and Sunset Grill!

A five-minute drive will get you to the Floriday Keys Aquarium Encounters which was voted the best place to take the kids 5 years in a row!

With fish clean table, cleats, bumpers, shower and patio table with 4 chairs. 1 porch front yard and 1 Deck over looking the water. Just a few steps from the pool, hot tub , please be aware that they can close the pool and hot tub for emergency/ regular maintenance without any notice. VO Resort has a marina w/fuel, store, rec hall, tennis court. Great Restaurant nearby !

Venture Out Resort charges a registration fee of $125.00 this amount includes tax already, if paid by Credit card there is a charge of 3.99% . Overflow parking is available and payable directly to the Resort if available. In high season overflow parking may not be available and it’s in a first come, first serve basis, please let me know if you are bringing a boat. Living room features a pullout queen sleeper sofa with 60" Smart TV and WiFi! Dining room offers a beautiful wood top table that seats 6 plus a breakfast bar that seats 2. Kitchen is open to the main living room and offers ample kitchen preparation space with center island. Master bedroom features a queen bed ( new mattress)with private full bathroom and a 32" Smart TV with water views and access to the Deck. Guest bedroom features a full size bed (new Sealy memory foam mattress)with access to the Deck and hallway bathroom access. Additional amenities include wireless internet, Split system Air condition, dishwasher, stack washer/dryer, tile floor, ceiling fans, BBQ grill, 2 porches (front & back)and outdoor patio furniture. Please be aware that the pool can be closed anytime without any advanced notice for emergency repairs. Venture Out has an ocean swimming area by the pool area that you can enjoy.

This charming cottage is set back from the street and shaded by gardens, mature palms, and gumbo limbo trees in a quiet, upscale, gated enclave of six historic Old Key West vacation rentals.
