It's almost unbelievable. The river and usually a beach are about a five minute walk out your door. Kayaks at the river. Three doubles and six singles. Side by side, six seater, take you to the Wind Caves and Chicken Corner. Three to four hours for $250. Less than half what they cost in town. There are unlimited hikes from the property and many more near by.

There is so much wildlife it's hard to keep track of. In addition to the hundred or so birds, squirrels, and chipmunks that come to eat each day at the lodge, there's the man himself, Kobae. Kobae is the 210 pound security tortoise that lives at the lodge and when he's not hanging out on the porch, or chowing down on romaine, he'll be looking for someone to go hiking with. Pets allowed: dogs less than 20 lbs per pet (limit one pet total). With evening the lodge front porch comes alive. Some combination of ringtail, skunk, fox, and raccoon nightly show up for dinner. At the hogan you're welcome to hang out at the fire pit or sit in gravity chairs and view the night sky. For kids especially it's an incredible experience.

The night sky, the incredible views, the critters, the side by sides, the beach, the river, kayaking, Wind Caves, hiking, all here. Nobody else has what Base Camp has or even comes close. Worry about other parts of your trip but don’t worry about this part. I live here pretty much 24/7/365 and I’ve been sharing it with guests for nineteen years. You want an adventure, not just staying somewhere, you found it.

Now, having said all that, it’s quiet, off the grid, and you want to get away, that’s here too. Some folks just sit on the deck and unwind, enjoying the landscape, wildlife, or reading. There’s no shortage of those spots. I’ve spent many a morning hiking out to a different place each day and reading.

Whatever you want to do, you don't have to go anywhere, all you have to do is walk out the door. That’s special.

We are "dog" people and understand how difficult it is to leave your friend at home. We allow up to 2 small dogs in Hayduke's. Our dog fee is $10s/night/dog. . We do not allow cats.

In your home away from home, you will find a "Dog Package" containing 2 bowls, a towel, waste bags, and pet sheet. To ensure that all guests have an enjoyable stay, by booking with us you agree to the following Dog Policy:

My dog is not aggressive; up to date with vaccinations and is well socialized with other animals and with other people.

My dog is free of ticks and fleas.

My dog will be with me under my care at all times (If I must leave my dog alone, it will be kenneled).

My dog will be on a leash and under my control when outside.

I will clean up after my dog and dispose of any waste.

I will keep my dog off of all furniture including the bed, chairs or couches.

I will assume financial responsibility for any damage caused by my dog during my stay.

I understand that if I forget to leave the required dog fee, my card will be charged the full dog fee amount upon check out.

Also includes a fold out couch for extra guests. Chefs kitchen for cooking or 10 minute drive into town for a variety of dinning experiences. Washer and dryer included. There is a television but no cable tv. A chromecast and Roku are provided. Feel free to say hello to the animals. We have a dog, Yellar and 2 cats, Rusty and Lightning, also a pot bellied pig named Dudley. They are all very friendly

Two bedroom home, across the street from a park. Deer often bed down right in the driveway and turkeys frequent the front yard. Near restaurants, store and Golf Course. This home is easy to find and has lots of parking.

- "The Golf Course Hideout was a great find! While we didn't do any golfing, we found it to be the perfect locale for our hiking trip - it provided easy access to Moab and Arches NP, Canyonlands NP and Cedar Mesa. Moab has turned into such a busy place, and Monticello proved to be much more peaceful. The house was clean, cozy and comfortable, and had all the basics needed to support our activities. We didn't do much besides sleep, eat and bathe there, but the views of the Abajo Mountains were excellent. And while it is close to US-191 the house was very quiet. The bathroom was spacious, clean and modern, and the mattresses were quite comfortable. Loved the native stone landing off the front porch! We were quite pleased with our find, and wholeheartedly recommend the Golf Course Hideout for your Utah adventures too."

Just 45 minutes south of Moab, this beautiful home makes it easy to see CanyonLands, Arches National Park, and many local ruin attractions. This historic cottage was the original home of Kent Frost, a famous local author and explorer from the early pioneer days of this magical red rock region. This home is not only a special piece of history, it has been renovated by a local award winning designer who has brought to life a unique style and aesthetic.

- "The property is still being improved, but once the owner has a chance to add a few amenities and clean up the yard a little, it will be great. Owner was very responsive to our request and fixed a couple of small problems right away." - "This house was perfect for our group of three couples. The view of the snowy mountains from the large living room window or the back door sitting area was awesome! There is no conventional oven and limited dishes which made cooking and eating meals here a bit challenging, but we managed. We especially liked the location, less than one and a half hours to South Canyonland National Park area (the Needles and Elephant Hill) , which we were thankfully able to hike. We started the hike at 10 AM, but they closed the road due to no parking availability when we exited 2 1/2 hours later, so plan to arrive early if hiking .There is a beautiful campground there and the Visitor’s Center is very nice as well. Newspaper Rock is just 30 minutes away and on the way to Canyonland National Park. It’s easy road access, no hiking required. The grocery store in town was fully stocked, no issues getting gas or food. Just south in the town of Blanding is the Edge of the Cedars State Park and Museum which was very interesting and informative. The town of Mexican Hat has an awesome state park called Gooseneck. Further north is the town of Moab and further south is Monument Valley. All within easy day trip accessibility. Overall I would recommend this home to family and friends."

This cute little home located in Monticello. This home is easy to get to and has what you need for your stay. This home is a great economical stay. The perfect stay if you are just passing through or want a close place to downtown for a longer getaway. This home has a cozy feel and is very simple and resembles a small country cottage but inside the city limits.

The space rented is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house on a nearly 1/5 acre lot with views of the San Juan mountains in Colorado to the east and views of the Blue Mountains to the west. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, convenience stores, library, parks, and 1.5 miles from the LDS Temple. It is set in a quiet neighborhood with wide streets that offers some privacy. No smoking inside the unit.

- "This home is well cared for and equipped." - "The ad showed two bedrooms with beds for 4 adults and room for 6. There was only one bedroom with a queen bed and one single bed. The other bedroom had no bed. We found a pull out but it had no linen. The owner was unwilling to supply a blow up so we had to sleep in the living room, not a comfy bed. We were offered a small refund or the option of buying our own mattress and getting reimbursed. This in a town with no retail for a blow up. The house is not level. There is also a camera in the back yard which seemed invasive to privacy. The yard is filled with archaic artifacts pilfered from ancient sites which saddens me deeply. These numerous pieces will have no provenance and are lost to the collective memory of the ancients simply to be wasting away as yard art."
