Beautiful and NEW cottage located at the Cottages at Getaway Cove in beautiful Smithville, TN and near Center Hill Lake. Sitting on a sprawling 13 acres of land full of wildlife. There is plenty of room for boat trailer parking if you need it. The cottage is less than 1/2 mile to Four Seasons marina and boat dock, which is located in the subdivision. The cottage is a perfect getaway for families and kids love the bunk room. The home is perfect to rent alone, but we have another cottage next door that family and friends can rent as well. There is a grilling pavilion for fun cookouts and get togethers that’s covered with gas grill. The pavilion is shared with one cottage located next door. There is a three night minimum booking for Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Labor Day and Wake Fest.

It sleeps 8 and is only .3 miles (walking distance) to Center Hill Marina which also includes a great Mexican restaurant (El Lago) which is located at the marina. There is plenty of great outdoor space which includes a fire pit. Very convenient to accessing the lake.

The cabin has a very comfortable queen bed in the main bedroom, and a bunk room with four twin bunk beds for the kids, The kitchen is all modern and well appointed. The deck is spacious and there is a great firepit area.

Plenty of room in the driveway for multiple cars and your boat! The property is located on a dead end cul de sac. Pates Ford Marina is less than 1 mile down the road where you can launch your boat or rent one. A unique hidden gem. The house is tucked away, down a valley, leading to Center Hill Lake. Far enough outside of town for plenty of peace and quiet. Yet close enough for groceries, shopping, restaurants, and bars.

Unique artist studio/guest house on 23 acre farm on a dead end country road. The space
This space functions as a fiber artist's studio which means you'll see organized boxes of colored wool, sewing machines, work tables and other art supplies. Because it is a studio, there are supply shelves open to the living space. The supplies are not for guest use unless arranged. The studio is uniquely decorated with artwork and vintage pieces like the kitchen sink and stained glass window. This is NOT a good space for young children(under age 8) due to the open shelving and the concrete floors. This building is an old mechanic garage converted into a studio/guest space. It's a concrete building so it's not luxury but we try to make it comfortable. There's also a step up into the bathroom which could make it difficult for some people. We have WiFi but no television. There is a fire pit available in the yard and we will will supply a limited amount of firewood. There's an outdoor table for dining on the concrete patio. This is a rural setting and sometimes we can’t control natural occurrences that occur in the country like bugs, creatures, stray dogs and loud rain on the tin roof:) Dogs allowed for added pet fee of $100. Dogs must be leashes while outside.

Guest have access to the entire acre the studio is on and are welcome to bike and hike the dead end road which ends with a gorgeous seasonal view of Center Hill Lake. There is plenty of room for guests to park a boat on the property beside the studio. The ground is flat for easy backing in and out.

We do allow monthly bookings if there's availability. NO CRYPTO MINING ALLOWED. If electric bill is out of the ordinary the guest will be responsible for fees. Please note are 20 minutes away from the nearest town if Cookeville. This is a rural setting but very safe dead end road. One night stays welcome during the week or within 24 hours of a Friday/Saturday if we are not booked for the weekend. We prefer weekends to be 2 night minimums but if it’s available ask about reserving and I will change it to accept 1 night.


If you book same day as your stay we need 1-2 hours notice to prepare for your visit.

If you need the second bed set up for a 2 guest stay, we need to know. Otherwise we will assume you’re sharing the queen bed with your guest.

We are close to the lake but not walkable, about a 10 minute drive. The Little House is next to my art studio on a quiet dead end road on our 23 acre farm.The house is 475 sq ft but has everything you need to relax and feel comfortable. It's calm colors,clean design and beautiful nature surroundings will give you the escape you’ve been looking for.Enjoy relaxing on the porch, watching the sunset and listening to the night sounds as you unwind from the lake, river or traveling.

The space
This "little house" (think a little bigger than a tiny house but not much) is nestled among the trees. In this space I have tried to make it a calming and serene get away. The wrap around porch has plenty of room to enjoy outdoor/indoor living. There are 2 bedrooms, each with comfortable queen beds allows for at least 4 people with the option of a guest(best for a child) sleeping on the fold down sofa. It is acceptable for a family however there is no dining area and it is small so you must be comfortable with small spaces. We are on a dead end road so it's a rural setting. The yard is full of tree roots because of the big shady trees in the yard. Because it being a rural setting there are nature things that can't be controlled like bugs, critters and outdoor sounds. You may see a wild turkey, hear bird calls in the morning or pass a field of deer on a walk. We love the natural sounds and quietness of the area and hope others do too!

Other things to note
The yard is full of tree roots and can be challenging to navigate for older family members. We recommend arriving during the day if you aren’t steady on your feet. It is not a well lit area and we caution walking through the yard with the roots at night.

Enjoy the mountain air on one of the two decks, serenaded by the soothing sounds of the water stream flowing below the cabin. There is a full kitchen which includes Stove, Refrigerator, Dishwasher and Microwave. Relax in front of the fireplace and watch your favorite streaming show on the smart TV which you can log into your favorite streaming device or surf the web. The master bedroom is located downstairs going down the circular stairs into a small sitting area. This bedroom is also complete with a smart TV. The other 2 bedrooms are located upstairs and are both queen beds. The bathroom is a full tub and shower complete with towels for your stay. We do allow for pets but do charge an additional $100 pet fee on top of the standard cleaning fee which will be requested after your booking. NOTE: The property includes a spiral staircase, and your family's safety is important to us. Please keep a watchful eye on your kids to prevent accidents.

Please be aware that the driveway leading to the cabin is steep and, like many gravel roads, has areas affected by washout, which may slow your travel. This house is designed as an open floorpan with two bedrooms and baths. The cozy den welcomes you as you enter the home with access out to the back deck which runs the length of the home. Turning left you'll enter the great room with open kitchen with modern amentities, dining, and keeping area. Down the hall to the right is the full laundry and to the left is a full bathroom. the first bedroom awaits at the end of the hall and to the right is the Master with its own bathroom and double doors which open to the back deck. Total privacy as the home sits on Corp property down to the lake.

All the amenities of the private gated community are yours to use - swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts. It's all here: the Marina, Hiking Trails, Playground, and Picnic Area are wide open for your enjoyment.

Neighborhood gate code, house entry code, and pool key will be provided upon checkin.

My cabin is secluded, in a rural area. It is 768 square feet & is one open room with a bathroom. It is divided into kitchen, living & bedroom areas. The back deck looks out over the wooded area. The cabin has Dish TV service and satellite WiFi service. The cabin is close to center hill lake with its many swimming options. We love this cabin and hope that you love it as much as we do. Our cabin is open to all people who will respect its uniqueness and enjoy all the property has to offer.

The space
The cabin sits back and below the road surface. The cabin is built on pilings, jutting out over the land as it falls away to the creeks below. When you look out from the back of the house or the back porch you are at tree top level. In the summer the cabin is surrounded by greenery. The creeks run at different levels based on the rain, and when they are near full you can hear the water running from the deck. There is a fire pit about half way down to the creeks and another fire pit near where 2 creeks merge into one. It takes some skill to maneuver down to the creeks since the terrain is steep, but is so worth the effort. This is a great place to work, study and unwind.

Guest access
You will have use of the entire cabin, and the large back porch. The property goes to just the other side of the creek and approximately 100 feet on either side of the cabin. I ask that you bring your own firewood and to not cut down any of the trees over the creek or on the property. I would like to keep the area as natural as possible.
I also have a number of board and card games in the cabin for guests to use. I have a number of books that guests might find interesting, such as a guide to plants and animals in the area, hiking books and guides to local waterfalls, fishing guides and history of the area.

There is no hunting allowed on the property and it is the renters' responsibility to obtain any or all hunting/fishing permits and to do so only in permitted areas. If you are staying for the purpose of hunting/fishing in nearby areas there is a large cutting board located under the king size bed that you can use to clean your catch. Please don't put it away until it is dry. I suggest placing on the back porch until it dries.
Also, I strongly suggest that guests use a insect repellent, such as Deep Woods Off. It is important to remember that you are in a wooded area and you want to avoid insect bites, including chigger bites. You will not realize that you have been bitten until several days later and they can be most unpleasant. Prevention will make your stay so much more enjoyable. Also I don't allow smoking in and around the cabin.

The space
The Lure Me Away cottage is in a peaceful remote location near Pates Ford Marina on the beautiful Center Hill Lake. It has water views in the winter months. There is lake access, which is 1/2 mile at the end of the street, with a primitive boat ramp that's perfect for launching kayaks. The interior space is set up for two people to be comfortable with a private bedroom with a plush queen bed with luxury linens. There is a private office if needed and the house is equipped with high-speed wireless internet. The back porch is perfect for bird-watching and just relaxing in general. Several large waterfalls within a short drive from the house make great trips. Boat rentals and live music at Fishlipz will fill your need for entertainment during your stay.

Other things to note
Cell service is very limited at the house, however, the WiFi is awesome. Given it’s fairly remote location, it is easier to arrive during the daylight.

The space
Our modern cabin has 3 BR and 2 full baths with lots of stained pine and a mix of rustic and modern decor. Master has king bed there is a queen bed in other main floor bedroom. The upstairs has a queen bed in a guest bedroom There is a stained pine loft with cross walk open to below. The back has mainly forest views with a covered deck which can be used anytime and very relaxing. Cell service is good. Hi speed WiFi available.

The back porch is mostly covered with a outdoor table a Jacuzzi Spa and a gas grill. There is a covered Car port with room for 1 vehicle. There are 2 TVs, with You Tube TV and gas log fireplace, with washer and dryer, kitchen appliances and front Porch swing. Coffee maker with kuerig or filters and other small appliances.
If you want to grill let me know so I can make sure it is ready for you.

Other things to note
There are some new homes nearby and around back but shrubs and privacy fence creates your own space. Please be aware of parking under trees if storms are in the forecast as we can't control falling limbs. If you hear a noise hitting the roof occasionally (rare) it’s probably a hickory nut. If using the Fire pit please take care and put out with water before bedtime.

The cabin is nestled near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac drive, above beautiful Center Hill Lake. It is a 15 minute drive to the center of Smithville, where there are restaurants and grocery stores, including a Walmart. It is a 1 hour and 15 minute drive from the Nashville airport. On the drive to the cabin you will see some properties that are not well maintained; however, once you reach the cabin the neighborhood is very well-kept and serene.

Please note - the loft is where the two queen beds are located. It is accessed by steep stairs, and is not recommended for children or the elderly. There is a pull-out bed located on the main level.

Keep it simple at this peaceful, conveniently located, and newly updated A-frame house. It features an updated kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, two living spaces with additional sleeping via pullout couches. It sleeps 12 and is only .3 miles (walking distance) to Center Hill Marina that also includes a great Mexican restaurant (El Lago) which is located at the marina. There is plenty of great outdoor space which includes a fire pit and yard. Very convenient for accessing the lake.
