The basement level of a lakefront house has been converted into a lovely cabin with two electric fireplaces, two comfortable beds, including a separate sleeping room with a full bathroom attached, a desk/work area, a kitchen and dining area. One bed has a private bedroom. The other bed shares a space with the living area and kitchen. The houses in this area near Avondale, sit up on a hill; this house sits about 300 feet from the lake shore.

The owners, who stay upstairs, are good friends of mine and will always be glad to help when needed, but the way the property is set up you probably won't ever see them, and they are very respectful of your privacy and work hard to stay out of your way.

Beautiful lake view is through the trees; the setting has a state park type setting. The property is about a football field's length from the lake shore.

If you need to bring a trailer with you, please ask for approval prior to arrival.

The rest of the home is rented. You will have complete privacy. The only shared spaces are the driveway, yard and laundry room. Most people are OK with this setup. If you are a light sleeper this may not be the best fit for you. Since this unit is under another.

You have access to the property's shared laundry room. Your door closes and locks on your side of door for privacy. We ask that you do not do any laundry between the hours of 10 pm and 8 am. This is to be courteous of other guests.
If you have the windows or doors open, please do not run the air conditioner or the heater.

There may be laundry in the dryer. This is because the housekeeper works to get the unit ready as soon as possible for your potential early arrival. If you need to use the dryer, simply take the pile of clean laundry and set it to the side. There is no reason for you to fold the laundry. Please don't use towels or sheets that are left in the dryer. There will be plenty available to you for your use during your stay.

*Here's what's provided for your boating experience: one canoe, three oars,
one paddle board, one oar and life jackets. Please note that these items are not officially listed as part of the house's amenities. They are additional items provided for guests to enjoy and may be subject to outdoor conditions.

*You must acknowledge that you if you bring the canoe to the Lake, it weighs 100 pounds, and have to carry it about the length of a Football field.

*Please note that the chairs located in the backyard are part of the outdoor area and are subject to natural elements. While we do not have a dedicated maintenance team for the outdoor furniture, we strive to provide a comfortable environment for our guests.

*There is a cute cuddly lovable dog on premises. You can pet him, as he loves people and is very friendly. Or I can keep him totally away from you. It's your choice. It won't hurt my feelings if you are not a dog person. Let me know in advance and I can provide a close to dog free experience for you.

$200 per month utilities are collected in advance separate from the reservation for any stays 30 days or longer. This covers high-speed internet, water and sewer, trash, electric, and gas. This money is collected by the host through the Airbnb app before your reservation begins.

Please be advised that maintenance will do routine lawn care (mowing, weed eating, insect treatments, etc.) and may be scheduled at any time during your stay. It could be done on the porch, right outside your window, right outside guest's outside doors. We will not call and tell you they are coming. They will never need to enter the house.

Please note that when reporting maintenance issues, it's important to be responsive and cooperative to help resolve the matter quickly, especially if access to the house is required for repairs.

Occasionally, packages may be delivered to the property to assist with its maintenance and upkeep. In rare instances, we may kindly ask you to bring a package inside for safekeeping. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure the home remains in great condition.

Please keep children under close supervision and understand that your willingness to rent this home binds you to use these things at your own risk.

Welcome to ‘Hickory Dickory Dock’ our Lakefront Family Retreat!

This stunning lake front home on Old Hickory Lake is just 30 minutes outside of Music City and recently underwent to 2022 renovation.
Whether you are planning a relaxing or adventurous visit to Nashville, this home will play the perfect host for you, your family and your travel companions.

We are located in a small community area on a peaceful cove which is ideal for fishing, kayaking or paddle boarding while you stay with us.
As you will see from our pictures, the home has not only wonderful entertainment areas on the inside, but a plethora of places to enjoy mother nature beyond the walls of the property too! Lounge around the upper deck utilizing the gas fire pit, share a meal together overlooking the lake prepared on the charcoal grill or step down below and play games such as giant connect 4, take a nap on the lazy hanging chaise long or make s’mores together around the large log fire pit in the back yard!

We please ask that you are considerate of the homes around us as we have loving neighbors who’s homes are their tranquility. Refrain from any loud music outside the home at all times and especially keep the noise down between 9pm & 9am.

We realize that lakefront offers a lovely place to relax and take in beautiful vistas, but also know that there is opportunity for adventure and activity too. For that purpose we are providing the use of several kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets and fishing rods. All guests MUST sign our waivers prior to arrival. A copy of this will be sent to you upon booking confirmation. This equipment is not only expensive but it is provided for the benefit of all the guests that use the property so taking good care of it is paramount. Absolutely no use of the water equipment is permitted while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

So let’s tell you more about the interior layout.

On the main floor we have a large living room with plenty of seating around a flat screen TV. It is open to a formal dining area, a spacious kitchen with bar, a games table area and a conveniently tucked away office desk should you have some work to follow up with while away from home. The views of the lake from all of these areas are wonderful thanks to the abundant glass windows and doors to the rear of the home.

Nestled off the kitchen is a large laundry and mudroom area, perfect for washing and drying your clothes from a day outside. Through the mudroom you’ll find our oversized 2 car garage that has been converted into a heated and cooled games room. Within this room you’ll find an additional sectional couch with mounted flat screen tv, a pool table, a ping pong table and even a putting area for the avid golfer! There are in fact several golf courses located close to this home.

In addition to these living areas on the main floor, there are also 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with the following bed arrangements:

Master bedroom suite - Kings bed. Additional roll away single bed located in the walk-in closet. Ensuite bathroom shower and double vanities. Flat screen TV (Sleeps up to 3)

Secondary bedroom - Queen bed. Flat screen TV (Sleeps up to 2)
Additional bedroom - Queen bed. Flat screen TV (Sleeps up to 2)

Lastly there is a large basement area which features a living room with mounted flat screen TV and gas fireplace. There is a full bathroom on the basement level and a specious alcove bunk bed area that can be closed off from the living space with blackout curtains. Within this alcove we have 2 queen bunk beds with queen on top of queen layout. (Sleeps up to 8)

The basement has an additional attached garage that is where we store all of the lake equipment. Please make sure that the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, fishing rods, paddles, oars and life jackets are all returned after each use.

We are located within 5 minutes of local groceries, Starbucks and other restaurants and are very excited to host you on your upcoming trip!

Hendersonville is a lovely upper middle class community of about 62,000 residents. It's known for lakefront living, boating, tournament fishing, excellent public education and it's close proximity to Nashville.

There is a free public boat ramp about 1/4 mile from the home for you to launch your watercraft.

We are very interested in renting to Families on Vacation, Groups of mature couples and friends who are respectful and responsible and/or anyone else who will be respectful of our house rules.

This is not a Party House! We do not allow bachelor or bachelorette parties. No loud music, excessive noise or unruly behavior. This is not the rental for those activities.

We wish to cater to mature, respectful and responsible groups of guests. Please inquire and tell us about your yourself, the other people in your group and your purpose for renting our Lake House.

If you wish to bring a pet, please disclose those intentions in a message to us… dog(s) will almost certainly be approved, but we do need to communicate some rules for owners to follow.

A vehicle will be required to get around. Uber or Lyft are popular options if you do not wish to drive.

The guest quarters are on the end of the house, separated by a laundry room and kitchen, closets, bathroom, from the main house. There is a natural sound barrier and you shouldn't be affected by other people on the other side of the house. If you hear a conversation, it would be faint and rare, and totally drowned out if you keep on a fan for white noise, and so faint that you feel that your privacy is protected.

You have your own private entrance to your unit. You don't have to walk through anyone's living room to get to your space. You have a deck/balcony area immediately out your door that is for your private use. The screened in porch is for the use of other guests staying in the main house.

There is a lovable dog on premises. You can pet him, as he loves people and is very friendly. Or I can keep him totally away from you. It's your choice. It won't hurt my feelings if you are not a dog person. Let me know in advance and I can provide a close to dog free experience for you.

For swimming and boating it is recommended that you bring your own swimming shoes. They can be purchased at Walmart or online for about $10 a pair.

The area is in the heart of the village with a coffee shop around the corner and karaoke bar across the way. Our location is an easy 20 minute drive to downtown Nashville. This little area has much to offer as shown in the attached photos. A comfortable place to come home to after a busy day exploring.

The studio apartment is a large cozy and comfortable room with a private bath, fully stocked kitchen nook and private entrance. It offers a pleasant decor, lots of fluffy towels and a flat screen tv. This location has a small porch with table and chairs to enjoy your meal outside or if you just want to take a minute and smoke . You will also have your own private driveway to the left of your entrance.

The house itself is attached to a stone fronted Historical Bldg in the Village of Old Hickory. You will park to the left of the small porch located at the right side of the building. You will enter through the door marked 527. The key lock box is directly across from the door. I will provide you with the combination the day of your arrival.

Other things to note
To really see the best of the area you will be staying in I would recommend a drive along the lakeside. When you leave the apartment turn left at the front of the building .... keep left and go in front of the Community Center and Fire Station ..... turn right on to Hadley and go to 10th. ...... turn left on 10th and take it all the way .... turn right on Riverside Drive and take it all the way to Dabbs Ave where you will turn left ..... and left again at 22nd. This will take you to Lakeshore Avenue. Complete your ride by the lake until it takes you back out to Old Hickory Blvd. This drive will give you a true picture of the area that you are staying in. Enjoy !!!!

This bespoke home is located across from Harbor Island, the only island on Old Hickory Lake. Launch boats for free and stroll in the park across the street. Go just 5 minutes to reach another park with an actual beach, plus volleyball and grills.

It’s roughly 25 minutes from the nashville international airport. There are rental cars at the airport and Lyft & Uber pick up and drops off at our house along with Taxi’s.

From the lake it’s roughly a half hour to downtown as well.

We do have our kitchen above this apartment so if you book with us please be prepared to hear footsteps and other noise from time to time during your stay. It isn’t obnoxious but we do want you to be aware of this.

We are located in NE Nashville, just 20 minutes from the heart of downtown. In this area you will find fishing, boating, a beach, a waterpark, golfing, shopping malls and flea markets. It has original heart pine flooring that’s been refurbished.
They are creaky in certain seasons.

The home does sit in a small historic community so there are neighbors with adjoining lots .

The Hadley House is in the historic area of Old Hickory Village, an area created by the DuPont Factory in 1918 to house the workers that lived nearby. These homes are sturdy little places that are positioned within walking distance of the Old Hickory lake on the Cumberland river. As Nashville sprawls outward, Old Hickory Village maintains a tucked-away vibe with ample nature and quiet.

The nearly 100 year old Hadley House is listed as having room for 4 people(technically). There are two bedrooms, the first has a full size bed, the second room has a twin bed. So that could work for 3 people. However, if you have someone who doesn't mind sleeping on the couch, which is small but long enough to fit a petite to moderately-sized individual, then you can fit 4. We're recommending three, but we like to be comfortable!

The house features artworks by artists Yayoi Kusama, Hilma Af Klint, host’s grandmother and daughter, Clara Backensto and Deya Aven respectively, as well as a small piece by the host.

Other things to note
If you are staying with your pet, please run the irobot roomba vacuum situated at the front wall in the dining room. Please keep the sweet darlings off the living room furniture or cover it with the small blanket. Thanks!

Important information:

When initially arriving at the private driveway at the back of the property, there are a few steps that need to be taken onto the back porch, where guests initially enter the premises. If you do not prefer to take these steps for the remainder of the stay, the front door porch of the premises features fewer steps to the house at the street level.

The interior spiral staircase, with a railing that connects the upper and lower levels, is steeper than some might expect and requires the full attention of the person using it. The staircase is not a challenge for persons of ordinary mobility, and at minimum young adult mind, but the staircase may be a challenge for very young children, the elderly, and those with mobility restrictions. Please see pictures of the staircase in the photo section under “additional photos”.

You have use of the entire premises, except the attic and any crawl space.

The premises will be made available for your entry by 3pm on the first day of your stay. The check-out is by 11am on the last day of your stay.

You will enter the back porch door by unlocking a lockbox attached to the door, containing a key to enter the premises. Before arrival, you will be given a unique unlock code for the lockbox.

Once every guest's legal name in the Party on the reservation has been disclosed to the Host and the Host has confirmed those names, the Responsible Guest may not add additional guests to the reservation or change the names of persons in the Party without the Host's consent. If there are minor children under the age of 18 in the Party, the Responsible Guest shall disclose their ages and the relationship the Responsible Guest has with those minor children. This disclosure is meant to protect minors.

A person under the age of 18, who does not have a registered legal guardian in the Party present during the Stay, may not enter and stay on the premises during the Stay. This disclosure is meant to protect minors.

For safety and trust, the Responsible Guest must display a profile photo on his/her Airbnb account, showing a clear frontal facial view. The Stay cannot begin without this requirement.  

No person is permitted to book the stay on behalf of another individual or individuals.

The Premises can accommodate up to (6) persons. Included in this count are all persons, including Infants and children of any age.

About registered and unregistered persons in the party during the Stay:

Airbnb's policy and the Host's Guest Agreement outline that only the Responsible Guest and registered persons in the Party may enter the Premises during the Stay. This applies to any duration and any time of day on the Premises. Should a non-registered person enter the Premises, the Responsible Guest is liable for a $100 fee per day for each such non-registered person, payable to the Host.  Additionally, the Responsible Guest and the Party may be subject to eviction without delay without compensation of any monies or other reimbursements to them. Disclosure: Airbnb refers to "registered guests" as "authorized invitees" and "unregistered guests" as "unauthorized invitees".

Check-in is at 3pm and checkout is at 11am.
Kindly ensure you have vacated the premises by 11am. If you are unable to do so, you agree to remit to the Host late check-out fees as follows:
Vacating between 11:01am and 12pm =  $50
Vacating between 12:01pm and 1pm = $100
If vacating at 1:01pm and after =  A full night’s stay will be charged.

Los keys:
Lost key fee per key: $30.
Lockout: A fee of $50 will occur per each lockout incident.  

Lost, damaged or broken items on premises: Reimbursement value to be determined according to the cost of replacing the item or items in question per the Guest Agreement and Airbnb's AirCover insurance policy. The Responsible Guest or the Party may not replace a broken or missing item on the premises.

Quiet time:
Quiet time is to be observed between the hours of 10pm and 8am

Cancellation policy:
As stated in the Airbnb booking terms at the time of booking the stay

Parties and festivities:
Having or hosting gatherings and parties at the premises is not permitted. Bringing a sound system or loudspeakers to the Premises, using confetti, glitter, or placing tape on walls or anywhere on the Premises is not permitted. Hair dyeing, or using dye of any sort, is not permitted on the Premises

Smoking of any kind is not permitted on the premises, inside and outside. This includes any electronic smoking devices. Violating the no-smoking policy will result in a minimum $500.00 fee for restoring the property to a smoke-free condition.

Commercial activity is not permitted on the premises. Location video/Audio/ photography recording or shooting is not permitted on the premises. Crypto mining is not permitted on the premises. Charging Electric vehicles on the premises is not permitted.

Gas Grill:
A gas grill located on the lower level must always be operated outside, and never inside. After each use, the gas grill must be brought back inside the lower level of the premises and never left outside at night. Fish may be cooked/grilled, but not gutted or cleaned on the premises.

Driveway retainer wall and front and back porch:
Climbing onto and jumping from the driveway retainer walls is forbidden. Climbing on and jumping from the porches is forbidden. Sitting on porch railings is forbidden.
No items of any type shall be hung over or attached to the porch railings.

The lower level, accessible by a garage door, is not intended for use as a vehicle garage or vehicle storage. Vehicles and/or trailers are not permitted to enter the garage door of the premises.

No indoor furniture may be moved to the outdoor porches. No outdoor furniture may be moved to the inside of the premises.  No decorations may be installed, placed, or put up, either inside or outside the premises. No items and amenities may be removed from the premises.

IT networks, internet routers, cameras, and technology on the premises may not be altered, displaced, removed, or turned off. The Host or his representative will visit and enter the premises if it is detected that the technology is not working properly on the premises. A notice thereof will be given to the Responsible Guest in as much advance as possible.

Parking Policy:
Prior to beginning this day, the Responsible Guest must disclose how many vehicles he/she and the Party will park at the premises. A maximum of 3 vehicles may be parked at the premises during the Stay. No later than 2 hours after check-in, the Responsible Guest must forward to the Host the make, model, and license numbers of all vehicles parked at the premises, either in the private driveway behind the premises or curbside in front of the premises. Vehicles may not be driven over grass or parked on grass.

Parking watercraft, trailers, campers, motor homes/RVs, buses, or oversized vehicles are not permitted at the premises. Oversized vehicle means any motor vehicle that either exceeds 22' in length or exceeds 7' tall and 7' wide.

Lost and Found:
While the Host tries to accommodate the return of lost and found articles, the Host is not responsible for any personal items left behind at the premises.
If left behind articles are found, they may be returned for a shipping and handling fee.

Weapons:
The responsible guest, and any person in the Party, are not permitted to possess and carry weapons of any kind on the premises. Any mechanism that can be used to fire a projectile is considered a weapon. This includes, but is not limited to: Standard firearms, air guns, self-defense or deterrent devices such as tasers or pepper spray, ammunition of any kind, and imitation firearms.

Damages and loss of use:
The condition of the premises and utilities is verified and tested before your stay.  Damaged items and plumbing emergencies such as due to flushed feminine products render the Responsible Guest wholly responsible for any financial cost and charges thereof.  The Responsible Guest unconditionally accepts responsibility for such occurrences, including financial responsibility for any loss of use to the Host's premises, due to damages and losses occurring during the stay. 

Arbitration:
All claims and disputes arising under or relating to this Guest Agreement are to be settled by binding arbitration in Nashville, Tennessee, in accordance with United States Arbitration & Mediation Rules of Arbitration. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding and judgment may be entered thereon. The Host, the Responsible Guest, and the Party entering such arbitration shall be entirely responsible for their own incurred cost of pursuing such arbitration unless the arbitration award states otherwise. Should anyone involved not comply with the arbitration, others involved can seek costs of suit, including attorney's fees from the non-compliant individual or individuals.

Pets are unfortunately not permitted:
Due to allergy endangerment, the premises are not suitable to accommodate pets. Bringing pets onto the premises will result in eviction of the Responsible Guest and the Party from the premises, without any refunds or financial compensation to the Responsible Guest and the Party. Violating the no-pets policy will result in a minimum $500.00 fee for restoring the property to an allergy-free condition. In Airbnb's disclosure to the Host, the Host is exempt from hosting persons with service animals due to said allergy endangerment. Should the Responsible Guest or anyone in the Party bring a service animal, the Stay will be terminated and Airbnb will work with The Responsible Guest for alternative booking options.

Disclosures:
There are (3) cameras that record video and audio on the exterior of the property.

Camera 1: An exterior doorbell camera that records exterior activity and traffic approaching the front door – records exterior activity only.

Camera 2: An exterior camera that records the vicinity of the back of the house and back lawn - records exterior activity only.

Camera 3: An exterior doorbell camera that records exterior activity and traffic at and approaching the garage door – records exterior activity only.

A decibel noise detector is installed inside the premises but not in bedrooms or bathrooms. The device does not have a camera and does not record conversations. The device is triggered when a noise level exceeds 75 decibels at a consistent and sustained level, and the host is notified.  A normal conversion is considered to be 60 decibels. A vacuum cleaner and a hair dryer are considered to be 70 decibels.

Emergencies:
Should life-threatening emergencies arise, you must immediately contact 911 and then contact the host without delay. 

Liability Disclaimer: 
The Host assumes no liability for loss, damage, claim, or injury to the Responsible Guest or the Party or any personal property while on the premises.  The Responsible Guest and the Party release the Host from any liabilities and agree to adhere to and legally abide by all terms, conditions, and regulations applicable to the stay while obeying all local and state laws.

The Host is wholly exempt from liability for any and all accidents, injuries, or illnesses affecting The Responsible Guest and all persons in the Party during the stay on the premises. The Responsible Guest and all persons in the Party release the Host from any and all liabilities and agree to adhere to and legally abide by all terms and conditions in this Guest Agreement.

Accepting Guest Agreement:
By requesting to book a stay with the Host, the Responsible Guest accepts this Guest Agreement in its entirety, and will adhere to and legally abide by all its terms and conditions as well as follow all local and state regulations applicable to the Stay. If the Responsible Guest or anyone in the Party violates any term/terms and conditions outlined in this Guest Agreement, the Host may evict the Responsible Guest and the Party without delay, without any refunds or financial compensation to them.

Our newly renovated farmhouse provides you close proximity to big city life yet has you feeling miles away setting on 8 acres of a bicentennial family farm. Decorated with modern farmhouse style and sitting beside a fully operational farm that can have your fridge stocked with farm fresh beef, pork, eggs, casseroles or a whole meal for your gathering. We can provide options closer to your stay due to season availability but please give us at least a weeks heads up for meals or casseroles.

The farmhouse includes 4 bedrooms and 2 cubbies with built in beds for a total of 8 beds sleeping up to 12. Two bedrooms are located on the main floor. There are two full bathrooms one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs bathroom is handicap accessible. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils and cookware needed to make delicious meals. If cooking isn’t your strong suit, we can provide a list of ready made options tailored to fit your needs closer to your stay. Those items can be waiting in the fridge or freezer and all you have to do is pop them in the oven.

Guests have access to the whole house with the exception of the pantry and 2 closets that are locked for owners use. There is a front porch and partially covered and fenced back patio with seating provided. The front and back yard is also available. There is a 2 car garage that is Not for guest access but has a covered carport you are more than welcome to use. There may also be cows close to the house we just ask for your safety please don’t go past the fences where they are located.
