This cozy home is over 1300 sq. feet of comfortable living. Cozy on Carolina was our first home and we kept it due to all of our wonderful happy memories made there. This home is within 10 minutes of I-81, which is convenient to Bristol, Johnson City and Kingsport. It is surrounded by sidewalks and a nice neighborhood to walk. It has a fenced in backyard with patio furniture as well as a fire pit. It has just about anything you need to walk in and stay awhile. It is conveniently located to many things - grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. You would be located within 15-20 minutes of two state parks. It has 4 ball tournament fields anywhere from 5 minutes to twenty minutes away (Domtar, Brickyard, Winged Deer and White Top). Let us host you for your visit to Kingsport!

THE SPACE

We absolutely love this house- it is a charming home situated on an acre in the heart of just about everything-

The interior of the home has been updated to accommodate small families and people with special needs- we have made this space “home” for all who are guests-

Open floor plan concept with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath-
Each of the rooms were designed with the ease of just feeling comfortable when you walk in- plenty of pillows and blankets for guests to use with plenty of places to sit and relax-
The living room has 1 recliner chair / 1 sofa/ sleeper and 1 accent chair-
There is a sofa table with chairs to sit and conduct business -

TV’s w/ WiFi capabilities in each bedroom and Living room-
Each bedroom has a phone charging station as well as a bed side lamp-

Dining room / kitchen is set up for seating up to 6-
The kitchen has all the amenities you will need to prepare a meal for your family- pots/ pans/ cooking utensils/ silverware/ glassware/ plates/ bowls and much more-
We also provide olive oil, salt & pepper, some cooking spices, sugar, coffee, tea & coffee maker.

A gas Weber BBQ Grill is provided to guests (please read and follow instructions before use)

You will have comfortable linens on each of the beds/ mattress protectors as well as a blanket & quilt all the pillows have allergy safe pillow protectors on them.

The bath towels are large and luxurious-
Some toiletries will be provided- (shampoo/ conditioner, soap, hair dryer)

Washer and dryer -(with 2 complimentary detergent pods)

The home is accessible by wheel chairs, however there is 1 step from the driveway to the home.
The shower is accessible for people with special needs with a very small lip on the shower edge-

We also can accommodate to families with babies/ children- we have a portable crib, high chair and baby bath available in addition to games, books, toys & non- breakable plates/ bowls/ cups-

This home was built in the (1950’s) - we have kept the original hardwood floors throughout the bedrooms/ living area and hallway- due to this the floors do creak from time to time-
The air conditioner / heating unit is located below the home - guests can here it when it turns on/off-
The house is located on the Main Street to Bays Mountain - during certain times of the day the street can get busy with traffic-
The driveway is a circular gravel driveway- with a large tree on the road side -there is plenty of space to park - just be careful if you back up!!!

There is a small porch on the front of the home and a larger deck on the back of the home - as well as a large grassy back yard area where families can enjoy-

The house doesn’t have a fenced yard so please watch your children closely as the street it’s on can get busy-(make sure they play in the back yard area)
The driveway is gravel- and there is a large tree to the left of the circular driveway- make sure you pay close attention to it if you back up!
The hardwood floors are original with the house, therefore they do make noise in some places!!! The heat pump below the home can sometimes be heard when it shuts on/off-
The bathroom has a pocket door- with a lock!

NEIGHBORHOOD

The access to many parks/ recreation facilities/ and downtown Kingsport is all within 5 miles radius!! Your still outside the city limits but close to everything-

GETTING AROUND

If you have a car then that’s best- there is so many things to see and do that a car is the best option- There’s also a bus / transit system that runs through the Kingsport area- each guest will need to check the KATS schedule to see when and where the routes are-

- "We loved this adorable house. It was clean, cozy and quiet. It was myself and my 2 young adult daughters so it was plenty of room. The owner thought of little touches such as games, coffee pods, laundry soap, etc.. We were disappointed the propane tank was missing, we wanted to grill and they may want to add kitchen wash clothes and the frint door lock was a little tricky. Those were tiny things though. Everything else was great!!!!! We would definately stay here again!!!"

- "We really enjoyed our stay at the Chickasaw Retreat. The house is very spacious and the layout offers several different areas where you can gather or have time to yourself if you need some space. Peggy was very communicative from the very beginning about the house having a couple of issues even before our arrival. She was honest and let us know what was being done to fix the issues. I appreciated her honesty. One issue wasn't resolved prior to or during our stay (the freezer wasn't working properly). But it really wasn't a problem for us because the freezer wasn't completely broken - just needed a minor repair. Which again - Peggy went above and beyond with doing her best to try to get it fixed and even brought us a bag of ice :) Nothing bad to say about this house. Great for large family gatherings and the surrounding area is beautiful!"

- "This is not you usual VRBO! What a great place! The Apple Suite was so new and impeccably clean. It had everything you'd want during your stay. It was close to everything I needed, and the restaurant and cidery downstairs is so eclectic and cool! Nice people, and I would stay here again. Just know that there are outside stairs up to the condo. Ok if it's nice outside, and if you have no problems carrying your luggage up. It's just something to be noted."

Make yourself at home at this beautifully renovated home just a few minutes away from Holston Valley Medical Center and Eastman in Kingsport. The home features two bedrooms and one bathroom. It was all recently renovated and all new furnishings recently -- including an all new kitchen and appliances.

You will enter the home in the living room that has a sectional and accent chair for plenty of seating. The remodeled kitchen is off of the living room and has a small table for dining inside. The washer and dryer are also in the kitchen.

Each bedroom has a queen size bed and a closet and dresser for clothing storage. One of the bedrooms has a desk and desk chair. The bathroom is located in the hall between the two bedrooms and has a tub/shower combo.

This is a duplex home with a resident on the other side.

There's a few small minor details that would have made to stay better, but all in all we would stay again if we needed to."

Update for September 28th, 2025: The gym previously located on the 1st floor is relocating and will be fully moved out within the next 2 weeks. Noise mentioned in past reviews will no longer be an issue. We’ll update this listing once the move is complete.
