There were board games to play and plenty of fire for the fire pit. The host was exceptional. He made certain we had anything we needed and then some. He was amazing at communicating with us and available to answer any questions as they came up. After staying here, my husband said that he only wants to vacation like this for as long as we can until our children are too big to share a bed. I cannot recommend this place enough. My kids gave it “12/10 stars” and I have to say that I agree. "

The Loft is a stylish and cozy barndominium-style guesthouse built in 2024. It is located behind our home and has a private entrance. The farmhouse decor and open concept will make you feel right at home. We are in a great location in the country, only minutes from key local spots, including Dayton Boat Dock, Spring City Boat Dock, Bryan College, local restaurants, shopping, walking tracks, and hiking. The thing I love most about our home is our amazing sunrises. It’ll feel like you’re 1,000,000 miles from civilization when you’re just tucked away on a semi-private lake. Enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, floating, sun bathing, or just simply relaxing. We are only 10 minutes from shopping, restaurants, golf courses, parks and hiking, and several major wedding venues. We are 20 minutes from downtown chattanooga and major city attractions including Rock City, Ruby Falls, Chattanooga Aquarium, Chattanooga Zoo, Cherokee National Forest, the Ocoee River, and much more. Our lake season is limited to six months. April through October. You will always have amazing water views and sunrises, but water activities may be limited during the off-season.

We are pet friendly for smaller, house broken, cage trained pets, but please ask about our pet fee.

But you'll have all the privacy you want and need for a great vacation with your own private driveway, private entrance, and private hot tub, and fire pit. The pool is heated during spring and fall, and the kayak and paddle board are free to use. There is a wave runner for rent at an additional fee if you choose. The bed swing makes for great afternoon naps, and the lounge chairs are the perfect setting for a sun tan.

We are approximately 11 miles from Chattanooga, TN, but also are located even closer to many dining establishments, movie theatre, bowling alley, supermarkets and golf courses. While it is nice being close to everything, it is always pleasant when you come in after a busy day to a peaceful sanctuary and this is what you'll find taking a short piece down a private drive to a gated entrance that opens up to two homes on almost 4 acres that are nestled between the trees.
The Ole Pole Barn been remodeled into a cozy cabin for two in a private park-like setting. Enjoy the large deck and if it starts to rain, grab the umbrella and go the patio to listen to the sound of rain on the tin roof. Your cabin also has a park grill in front of the deck. The cabin is equipped with 2 Roku Smart TV's, fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer and more.

In the common area, there are picnic tables, a park grill, swing and a firepit with wood supplied. There are corn hole boards and bags available upon request.

We do live on the property and there is a 10' x 20' movie screen with drive-in movie speakers. On occasion we do show movies and guests are free to join at no charge. If you have your own projector that has sound, you are more than welcome to use the movie screen. We have a table or tripod available for use upon request.

We have just renovated a building on the property that was made of windows and doors with glass. It has been repurposed into a studio with the intention of having painting classes for guests in the future. In the meantime, our guests can visit "Windows into Creation," and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the sitting area with the outdoor views all around, but still in that perfect temperature.

We are pet friendly, limit 2; dogs only, with pet fee of $35.00 for the first pet and $15.00 for the second. Please let us know if you are bringing your fur babies.

We want our guests to be happy and that our photos and description be representative of where you will stay and what to expect, if any of the things listed below are something that would cause you not to enjoy your visit, then we had rather for you to continue looking to find that perfect getaway and thank you for looking at our place:
The private drive that brings you to our property is about a tenth of a mile; with private being said, this is not a road kept up by the county so is a little rough, but not a problem for most cars unless they are extremely low to the ground. On the good side of this, this keeps most people off our little road and adds to the privacy you'll find when you get back here.
Note that the barn has a tin roof without an attic, so when it rains hard, it does get pretty loud.

Being beside Choo Choo (Chattanooga) city, there is a train crossing about a mile from the property, so if you're outside you will hear the trains blowing. You will hear the train from inside the Ole Pole Barn, but for most, it is not so loud that it is bothersome. We provide fans for those who like the white noise.

Basic paper products are provided to get you started on your trip; however, guests are responsible for any toiletry, paper product needs (aside from coffee filters) during your stay. We provide liquid soap at all sinks during your entire stay. Shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, toothpaste, toothbrush and lotion are available upon request: if you would like these to be available when you arrive, please let us know.

The hosts provided 3 separate areas for pet waste/poo bags and these were solar lit, so no fumbling around at night if you left a poo bag in the house. Two brothers cabin as a log cabin built in 1982. It has a covered carport that will accommodate two boats. Electrical hook ups. It is a great way to unplug from a busy lifestyle. It is located just yards from Chickamagua lake on the Tennessee River

NB: The house is not child proof or handicap accessible.
There is one queen bed on the main level. Upstairs in an open bonus room there are 2 twin beds and one full.
*** The cabin is located 1/2 mile from Hwy 60 on a gravel road. If it hasn't rained in a while, the road will be dusty. Speed limit is 10-20 mph.
