Thatcher's Mill House was built in 1919 for the mill workers 3 blocks down that worked at Standard-Coosa Thatcher Mill. There is a one dog limit. My insurance will not allow Pit bulls, Rottweilers, Chows, or Dobermans. No mixes with these 3 breeds. It was a shotgun house that started with knob and tube electricity and no plumbing. Behind the house is a lot that all the local women would to get their water from a spring located there, no longer there due to the interstate and the demolition of many of the Missionary Ridge Houses. Remodeled and now like new this is a little gem that invites guests to enjoy what Chattanooga offers. Two mile to downtown Chattanooga. I live across the street and behind my house is an old maintained 3 tiered garden with wonderful views of the city. The sunsets are awesome with a goldfish pond and a Mermaid fountain. Sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the sound of the birds singing and the water splashing. Let your worries melt away. The Battle of Missionary Ridge was fought on this very ground. There have been bullets and shot found on the property. Come and converse with the ghosts....just kidding.
Please do not ask for a late check out. I respect that my cleaners have lives other than just cleaning my rentals. Feel free to stay another day. Thank you!

-No parties. If you plan to use this cabin to party, it is not the cabin for you. If you host a party, you will be asked to leave and an additional cleaning fee will be required at $100 per hour to clean after your party.
-Please follow check-out instructions. As our guests, we try to keep it simple and only ask that you put away anything you use, wash any dishes you use, take out excess trash, and start the dishwasher.
-No food in bedrooms.

We have the house sprayed quarterly for the famous chattanooga bugs! We are near the river and the woods and all houses in N Chatt will have the occasional visitors. Be assured, we do our best to have your stay be free of pests!!

Well-behaved dogs are welcome if they are updated on their flea/tick preventative and shots and are non-destructive/potty trained. There is a $65 pet fee per stay.

If there's a full month available with no existing bookings, you're welcome to select the dates and the app will show you the pricing breakdown for your date range. We've had many guests book 30+ nights and we do offer a large 20% discount for monthly bookings. Also, for your safety and convenience, we only book through the app (no traditional leases or "under the table" agreements). If the dates are available, you're welcome to book multiple months and the app will charge you once a month (the same rhythm as a traditional lease).

"Is there an outdoor fire pit or patio?"

There is a front porch and a nice area in the back with outdoor seating. We also just added a cozy fire pit in the backyard so you can make many magical memories, just bring firewood :)

"Is there a pet fee? Weight or breed restrictions?"

Yes, we require a pet fee for furry friend (dogs only, no cats). If the platform allows you to select that you’re bringing a pet, please choose that option when booking and the pet fee will be added to your pricing breakdown. You’ll be able to see the exact fee before confirming your booking.

We have no weight or breed restrictions. Pet fees are due when making your reservation. A single pet fee allows up to 2 dogs during your stay. Pets must be respectful of the space and must not damage the home in any way.

The parking space fit my Ford Escape but anything bigger might not work. Onstreet parking was available throughout our stay if needed (and free here, unlike many areas of town!). For reference incase of mobility issues, the driveway is uphill and there are several steps to enter the home. Driveway is shared with home in front which was close but was no inconvenience at any point. We'll likely be visiting Chatt next summer and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

FYI: we live on the 16 acres with this cabin, and we are currently in process of permaculturing our property into a small homestead. A large swathe of the front yard has tall Marshall rye ground cover summer of 2023. We are not neglecting our property.
We are working with a professional permaculturist to build healthy, loamy soil where there was dense clay. Wehave the area around the cabin weed eaten each week on the side yard and around the house. If you come back in 2024, we will have fruit trees, nut trees, native plants and wild grapes.

PETS: Pets are allowed for a $100 feethat will be charged upon reservation. Limit to one pet—no exceptions. Any evidence of pets on the furniture will incur a $100 additional cleaning fee. Service animals are by law not charged for their stay, but also by policy require documentation and are NOT ALLOWED to STAY at the home ALONE at any point.

Welcome to our fabulous 3 story townhome! We have a top notch place for you to stay in and it's walking distance to the best places to eat, drink and be merry in downtown Chattanooga.

Our 3 story townhome is laid out as follows, you enter on the first floor which is a well appointed living room and half a bath. You will immediately notice the 10' ft ceilings and how wonderfully airy it is. You will also notice that this place is brand new! Winterview is a quiet condominium community located on Lookout Mountain,TN. The condo is only ten minutes from downtown, with several activities and food options (indoor or outdoor) and trails/rock climbing to access. Close to the city and work/play of town with the secludedness of the mountains.

Community Pool can be accessed in the summer time (May-September).

Please know that price includes all utilities, WiFi and cleaning of linens and towels.

The space
Cool hardwood floors, spacious, and yet homily in a quiet but conveniently located neighborhood, makes my home a unique, positive place to be, rest and hang out. Room includes dedicated work space for remote work option.

Guest access
Guests can access the laundry room, patio, kitchen, living area, and two bathrooms just for guests. Enough space for guests and host to live without any conflict of space.

During your stay
I do live in the condo but have separate room and bathroom. I work during the week and often am gone into the evenings. Particularly working remote, guests have free range of the house during the day to work, take calls, etc.

Other things to note
I have a Mr. Coffee... basic coffee supplies (sugar, filters and plenty of mugs) provided. Feel free to bring any food or drinks you’d like for the shelves in the fridge or pantry. Appliances, cups, and dish/silverware can be used by guests.

The Urban Cottage has a modern farmhouse feel with bead board throughout the cottage. It is small, cute and yet simple designed with a cozy feel- mixed with old and new elements. It is also located 10 minutes from downtown.

The space
The cottage consists of a cozy, open floor plan. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. The bedroom is small, but cozy with a queen size bed for two. The farm house style bathroom is stocked with complimentary toiletries. The cottage also has an air purifier located in the living room area.

Guest will have access to the courtyard outside that includes two fire pits, two charcoal grills, an electric smoker and also a patio area for outdoor dining.
