- "Booking and arrival was perfect. The minute you arrive it is very peaceful. Hot tub and deck was awesome. The view was so nice and in the morning, the dew on grass looked like a river. Everything we needed was in the cabin. Furniture was comfortable and looked great. I have travelled for years and this was the cleanest rental ever. I can't wait to go back. I brought my little Shih Pooh and it is very dog friendly. He loved the deck. Everyone we met at the Bluff was very friendly.Tyler and Charles were just great with information. "

UPDATE: December 2020. Stoneybrook Cottage now has new floors! A few guests recently made mention of the condition of the carpet, so we have completely re-done the flooring throughout the whole cottage. New pictures are posted to reflect the update.
- "GREAT LOCATION , PRIVATE & QUITE" - "This place is so adorable. Very clean. Wish I would have had better cell service but it could have been worse. I have no complaints other than the floor is rotting out. It can’t be seen due to new flooring but it can be felt. The sub flooring and possibly the floor joists need some maintenance. It would be sad to see the adorable cottage destroyed by lack of foundation maintenance." - "We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Very clean, cozy, had everything we needed. Close to town, very relaxing!!!"

Smoky Mountain Hideaway is a large, open concept log home situated on 7 1/2 private acres about a half mile from the National Park. While the spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains are the main attraction, the house has 3,200 square feet of living space and offers a lot of individual privacy for larger groups. It is great as a final destination for sitting on the porch, watching the mountains and visiting with friends and family or as home base for other activities such as riding the Dragon. If you're very lucky you might even see a bear or bobcat from the porch in addition to the deer, coyotes and wild turkeys that are more frequent visitors.
It is 5 minutes from great hiking trails inside the Park, fly fishing along Abrams Creek or paddling on Lake Chilhowee. It's only 10-15 minutes to the Tail of the Dragon, the Foothills Parkway and the Look Rock observation tower. If you're hankering for the crowds, it's an 80-90 minute drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg along the Foothills Parkway. The views from the Foothills Parkway are amazing!
The house sleeps 10 comfortably in the 4 bedrooms and there's plenty of privacy with 3 modern baths. We also have a futon with extra bedding in the downstairs living area. The house has 160 feet of covered porches facing the mountains which are equipped with ceiling fans and plenty of outdoor seating including two porch swings. A fully paved driveway and two car garage make it ideal for motorcycle groups riding the Tail of the Dragon and the Foothills Parkway. There's also room on the grass to park trailers
There's a gas grill and extra propane tanks in the garage for outdoor cooking and the large gourmet kitchen is fully outfitted, except for food. We have a large fully equipped laundry room as well. Many guests say the kitchen and house are the best equipped vacation rentals they've ever stayed in.
Because of our remote location there is no cell phone service around the cabin unless you have AT&T cell service. We also offer free WiFi and land line phone service in the house. You can do WiFi calling as well.
After a hard day of sightseeing or riding the Dragon you can kick back and watch your favorite shows or movies on the big screen TV's in the two living areas using your preferred streaming service. We also have lots of old movies for the DVD players as well. Many guests prefer to sit on the fully covered full-length porch, listen to the whippoorwills, coyotes and Mill Creek while they watch the gorgeous mountain sunsets. There are also books, magazines and tons of board games. We have a rustic natural stone fire ring and a wood pile up behind the cabin for an evening of S'mores or story telling.
Although it is not ADA compliant, the main floor of the house is easily accessible for people with limited mobility. The driveway, garage and main floor of the house are on the same level with no steps. The house is not baby proof, but we do have a high chair, portable safety gates, a booster seat, step stools and a folding porta-crib.
We have a liberal cancellation policy.
No pets and no smoking are allowed inside the house.
We try to be very responsive as we're not a corporate vacation rental management company.
- "The house is in a beautiful location with a long range view of the mountains off the back porch. The house is fully stocked—the best I’ve ever stayed in—and felt like home. Communication with the owner was excellent, all the information we needed to enjoy our stay was provided in a timely fashion. I would definitely stay here again!" - "No unpleasant surprises - we enjoyed our stay." - "Wow! What a place. The views are excellent, it was quiet except for my grandson. He loved the bunk beds. You have everything you need to cook and serve a meal. the gas grill had more than enough fuel. We really enjoyed everything about the place. I will trade quiet and peaceful for being close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg any day. Besides the drive to PF and Gatlinburg was very scenic. Don't know what else to say except we'll be back, this time in the fall when the leaves change. Great place for a family! Thank you David and Susan for allowing to use your place."

Welcome to Tellico Plains! Tucked away on the side of Bullet Mountain, you will find our log cabin which was custom built in 2015 and situated on 10 wooded acres. Now, we want to share this experience with you, and hope you enjoy your time at the cabin as much as we did! Motorcycle and Angler friendly!
Beginning May 8th you will have private access to the Tellico River via our farm across the road. Take a dip and cool off or go wet a line just 300 yards from your front door!

Great location. The bed was big/comfy. Everything was clean, I have never been in a rental and thought "this place is really clean," but I did here. Someone was in the cabin next to us, but I never saw or heard them unless we were in the parking area. The hot tub had enough privacy, from other reviews I thought it wouldn't. - "We had a magnificent time at the cabin. It came furnished with absolutely absolutely everything we needed. They even provided the coffee and a Phillips espresso machine, the coffee was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or colleague. We had a great time riding the tail of the dragon. The only recommendation I would have is to change the satellite Internet from viasat to starlink. But, other than that, I have no complaints."

- "We headed up to fish at the Tellico. The fishing was bad but the place was excellent." - "This property is very conveniently located. Just minutes from Tullahoma but also well secluded out in the foothills. My only suggestion would be that the back deck could use a table. That is no reason to second guess your stay though. This served our family well and we would return." - "Great place to stage a bike trip. Very clean close to everything. "

Just as unique as the mountains of east Tennessee, and with $0 cleaning fee, our luxury GeoDome is a complete one-of-a-kind stay just outside the Cherokee National Forest. Affectionately known as “The Poplar”, it is the only GeoDome in the Madisonville/Tellico Plains area.
This steel and wood structure has all the creature comforts of tiny home living while offering the peaceful openness of a large dome. The kitchen is stocked with all the tools to cook fabulous meals. There is a 2 burner gas range, a counter top air fryer and oven, a farmhouse sink and a full size fridge. Open the drawers to find all you need, just bring the food and drinks
The living area is furnished with high-end furniture that gives guests the best feature of the dome; the views from the large panoramic window. Since the window faces east, enjoy all day sunlight while keeping the temp just right with the AC/Heat mini-split. Centered in the dome is the only 4-walled room and that is the large bathroom. Its the perfect space to get ready for the day or clean up after spending time in nature. When its bedtime, there is a plush queen size bed on the far side the structure. Sleeping in the dome is like sleeping in a cave; cool, calm, and quiet. Upon request, an additional queen size air mattress can be provided with linens.
This retreat is designed to let you disconnect and enjoy the simpler things in life. Go old school with plenty of board games and card games. There are various books and brochures on the area to help you plan your adventures. There is internet available, however, it is spotty. While there is no TV on site, download movies or music to a device to use while visiting. There is a bluetooth speaker provided.
Nestled in a forested holler on our 12 acres, the dome is surrounded by hills on three sides which offers the best of both shade and open sky to view the stars at night. Whats a trip to the mountains without enjoying the large fire pit that sits next to the babbling creek. Firewood and starters are supplied so just sit back on the comfy furniture and relax. The is a long private gated driveway which runs parallel to the creek and offers plenty of parking.
Up on the north hill is our small boutique farm and our home. While we do live on site we are not in sight. A short walk away and a guest can spend time with our large flock of chickens who provide you with fresh eggs or our friendly Kunekune pigs. They love treats and belly rubs.
Being located on the border of Madisonville and Tellico Plains, The Poplar is centrally located to many great nature experiences. Only a few miles down the road is the famous Tellico Farm Market. The market offers fresh produce and other baked goods from the local Mennonite communities. Go a little farther and you are in Tellico Plains, the gateway to the Cherohala Skyway. Head up the Skyway to view water falls, go hiking, or take in the amazing views from the various mountain overlooks. Go float down the Tellico River or white water rafting on the Hiwassee river. For a slower paced experience, ride the Hiwassee River Scenic Railroad or tour caves at The Lost Sea. You can even make a day trip to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or the Great Smokey Mountains National Forest Park.
Whether you stay in or go adventuring, The Poplar dome is a very unique destination and sure to be memorable.

The Dome exceeded our expectations, as all 4 of us are 6 feet or taller, and fit comfortably in this space! It was immaculate and had every little thing we could have needed. Ferris was so friendly and let us come visit her farm animals. Everything was a short drive away, from tubing, hiking, fishing, scenic drives, farms, wineries, towns with cute shops and restaurants. I can't imaging a better experience!"

It was very clean and we explored a lot of the areas nearby. We had a small issue with the hot tub and I contacted the host and he had someone out very quickly and it was fixed. - "Property was extremely clean and, though small, was accurately described in listing and pics. Very convenient location, would definitely stay here again." - "My son and I stayed here for a Tail of the Dragon driving event. We were under 15 minutes to HUB 129, and close to all kinds of other activities we wanted to do. The property was perfect. Unit has a modern condo feel. We grilled, full kitchen, everything was comfortable and easy. The owners cared that we had an enjoyable stay. Even asked what my son was into before we came and had a nintendo setup for him, which he loved. One night they set us up with a fire and fix'ns for s'mores! Would stay there again 100%, we enjoyed our stay there as much as we did driving The Dragon, maybe even more. Highly recommend!"

- "This place is a little slice of heaven! An absolute gorgeous view of the mountains and valleys below began our stay. The property is well positioned with two very cute tiny homes along with an expansive deck and two very nice pavilions. One you can actually park under if the weather is inclement. We stayed in the sage house. There's a pull-out couch and two queen size beds so six people could sleep comfortably. Everything was extremely clean and very well thought out. We had need for nothing. Even in such a small space there was more than enough room for my 6'4 frame to maneuver. The bathroom / shower was perfect. The smallest details were thought of right down to having a French press to make my morning coffee. ( First time ever using one of those by the way)! The kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils needed. The linens were very fresh and clean. There was even a small fireplace outside with included fire starter which made everything so much easier. The hot tub was also very nice! To end things, being able to sit on the deck and have an amazing view was worth the trip. We will definitely be back and next time with friends and family!"

- "The bed was very comfortable. We slept extremely well. The decor was cute and modern. The fireplace and hot tub add to the coziness. Would definitely stay here again. " - "The property is beautiful and in excellent condition. The issue is with the owners. There was a local power outage shortly after we checked in, we were informed the power would be off until midnight. We requested a full refund as we would not be able to enjoy the property without power. We were told to just deal with it and likely no refund would be given. The property manager said it "wasn't his problem ". So, if you book here, be aware of random power outages that can last many hours and you wont be reimbursed. I strongly recommend you find somewhere else to stay!"
