Couple of concerns - we were cooking for a big group so needed a big soup pot and a larger baking sheet. No big deal, just commenting. Plan to cook as there are no close restaurants or grocery stores (we wanted this!!). The bug situation in June was FOR REAL. All the kids had ticks at one point or another so take the precautions that they suggest seriously. Spiders too! Everyone needs long pants, hats and bug spray. There are no mowed paths to the pond, so you have to layer up! Lastly, the upstairs is awkward. There are 2 gorgeous king size bedrooms with wonderful beds...and only one bathroom accessed through the master suite. Just be aware if you are putting 2 couples up there! One more half bath would've made this place perfection. Our stay was wonderful overall. We certainly plan to come back!"

At the end of a gravel road, you have all the privacy you could wish for. Very basic setup, but that’s really all you need when you’re away from home. There is a 50-inch TV in the living room & good internet speeds.

The home is on a well and has a sulfur smell. The water is tested and treated. It is safe.

- This property is located inside a cave and does not have A/C or central heating. The temperature naturally fluctuates between 64–69°F, providing a comfortable environment for most guests. Extra heaters are available for your convenience.

- This unique cave house features natural elements like silica (a naturally occurring mineral), and sand particles may fall inside. It might not be the best fit if you’re seeking a pristine, hotel-like environment, but our space embraces the cave’s rustic charm and natural surroundings.

- Swimming is not allowed in the indoor or outdoor pond.

- No climbing on the rocks at any time

- Our property features raw concrete floors, which add to the unique charm of the space. Please note that spills must be cleaned up immediately to prevent staining. Guests who leave stains behind may incur an extra cleaning fee.

- The large speakers on the stage aren't operational, and two portable Bluetooth speakers are provided

The nightly price includes 25 guests, with an additional $150 charge for every 20 guests, with a maximum of 65 guests. A $500 refundable security deposit is due 15 days before your arrival. A copy of your ID is required after booking. Guest count is the number of people at the unit, not the number of people who spend the night.

Located on a corner lot in a quiet community, a children's park and church are located on the same street at the opposite end. This retreat is close to many area attractions and is less then 3 miles from Mercy Hospital Festus and Mercy Cancer Center, and just 20 minutes from St Louis Specialty Children's Care Center - South County. Also only a couple minutes from downtown Festus/Crystal City with walkable shops and eateries to enjoy. :)
