This is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath lake home. Bring your 4 wheeler or Snowmobile and enjoy super easy access to the trails as they run right in front of the property. We are within 1/2 mile from Eagle View Golf Course, and only 1/2 mile from the Eagle Lake public water access. We have a private dock there for your convenience as well.

This is a unique property on pristine Bad Medicine Lake! Once the owner's cabin of 'Red Top Resort,' a three-cabin property active since the 1930's, it has been converted into a northwoods-style year-round lakehouse while retaining its rustic charm.

The house features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, two fireplaces, a full kitchen, a living room, and an all-season porch. The all-season porch has a pull out couch for additional overnight guests (this is practically on the water and the best opportunity to hear the loons while you sleep!). The unfinished basement has a washer and dryer for your use, and a ping-pong table for those not-so-nice days or evening entertainment. There is also a pool table.

The kitchen includes an oven, stove, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer. Other small appliances and cookware, serveware and eating utensils are also included. Guests must bring their own food and life jackets.

Lake Information

Bad Medicine Lake is consistently one of the clearest, cleanest lakes in Minnesota. Minnesota Monthly rated it as the best lake for swimming in 2008! It's not uncommon to catch snorkelers and even scuba divers around the lake! Watersports such as tubing, waterskiing, and even sailing are very popular.

Bad Medicine Lake is a great spot for Rainbow Trout and Walleye fishing! It's stocked with Rainbow Trout every year! A public boat launch is only 10 minutes away. Other excellent fishing lakes are easily accessible and close by.

Excellent snowmobile trails are located just off the lake! The trails are groomed, well-maintained, and connect directly to many restaurants, gas stations, and Lake Itasca State Park.

Nearby Activities

Lake Itasca State Park is an approximate 20 minute drive away. Walk across the headwaters of the Mississippi or enjoy excellent biking or hiking trails. Snowmobiling here in the winter is also a lot of fun!

Nearby towns of Park Rapids, MN and Detroit Lakes, MN offer a lot of entertainment for both kids and adults. Fun shopping and good restaurants are easy to find. Park Rapids offers 'Evergreen Fun Park' for the kids, complete with bumper boats, laser tag, mini-golf, and more. Detroit Lakes offers family-friendly activities nearly every weekend.

Not only will you be able to enjoy Itasca State Park, Big Timbers is located approximately 30 miles from Bagley, Bemidji, and Park Rapids. This is the perfect location for your next stay!

More about the cabin:
The cabin was originally built in 1902 just down the road. We tore it down and moved it to our property and completely restored it. There is a loft with a queen bed, a living room with a full futon, full bath and full kitchen. It can sleep up to four people, but note that it includes 1 queen bed and 1 pull out futon in the living room.

In addition, there is a 4-season heated porch with 2 more single beds with couches to also lounge on to enjoy the amazing views. The kitchen is spacious and the table can seat 8. The views from the deck odd the kitchen were wonderful and where we spent a lot of time, there is also a table for 6 outside and 3-burner nice sized gas grill that we used without issue. 3 bedrooms are located on the basement level where you will find a full bath with steam shower, sauna and walk out door to the hot tub over looking the lake! There is also a washer and dryer. The beds were all very comfortable and we slept extremely well. Outside, you can take the path down to Island Lake and go to the left for a short walk to the dock and gazebo with 2 beds and working stone fireplace where you can enjoy the sunsets or make s'mores in the stone bonfire area! The sunsets are amazing and we enjoyed many from the dock. We did not have a boat with us, so please review other reviews on this subject nor did we swim in the lake. Just beyond the gazebo is the Cat Nap Shack where 2 more can sleep, note there is no running water at the gazebo or shack but there is a small fridge. Wetayed 5 nights here and loved it and will be back again! Note: If you plan to go to Itasca State Park be sure to these things for sure: 1) Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center, we wished we had done this first as there is so much to read about and learn with all the interactive exhibits. Really well done. 2) Be sure to take the Lake Itasca Boat Tour, we LOVED this. 3) Have lunch or dinner at Douglas Lodge for sure and the walk over to the Forest Inn store and for some more history. 4) Walk across the Mississippi on the large rocks and then go to the Mary Gibbs Mississippi Headwaters Center."

Enjoy this authentic log cabin on a private 2 acre lot, 600' of lakeshore within 25 miles of Itasca State Park. Fish from either dock, kayak, or relax by the lakefront firepit. The cabin has a main level bedroom, loft with 2 queen beds, open floor plan, and 3 season porch. Garage loft has a full bed and queen sleeper sofa and additional TV. High speed internet allows for streaming your favorites or ability to work remotely if needed. Long Lost Lake has a 10 mph speed limit and very little traffic. Perfect for a weekend getaway or quiet family vacation. Cabin is within 15 minutes from public access. Docks and Kayaks are pulled by mid October.
Plenty of winter activities as well. Snowmobile, cross country ski, snowshoe, 4 wheel, or ice fish.

There was so much space we all were able to find a favorite spot to unwind before heading back to school this fall. Everything we needed was there. This wonderful house on Two Inlets Lake has it all! If you like to enjoy the lake in the summer, the hard sandy bottom is just for you. If you enjoy snowmobiling or ATV/UTV rides, the Two Inlets Trail System literally starts at the end of the driveway! If you're into hiking, biking, or cross country skiing, Itasca State Park is only 15 miles away. Whatever you like to do, this place is for you (even if it's just relaxing by the fireplace)!
The space
There are 3 bedrooms with a master bath and a common bath. The washer and dryer are available for use. The furniture (with the exception of the dining room table) was all purchased new in December of 2023. Virtually all kitchen items were also purchased in December of 2023 (dishes, silverware, pots, pans, knives, coffee makers, etc.).
Guest access
The attached garage can be used for storing gear and putting on/taking off riding gear. Please do not park vehicles in it and please keep the doors closed.

Secluded lake cabin in the woods in northern Minnesota. Long Lost Lake is a no wake lake making it peaceful and quiet with excellent fishing. This year-round cabin is newly remodeled and perfect for a family vacation or remote work location. Amenities include a large deck, three season porch, fire pit, wood burning fireplace in the master bedroom, an outdoor hot tub, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, a fully furnished kitchen with gas stove and dishwasher, dependable fiber optic wireless internet, and living space with a flat screen TV.

The cabin is located 15 miles west of Itasca State Park, the headwaters of the Mississippi River. The area boasts superb hiking, fishing, and ATV trails. A North Country trailhead is 3 miles away.

- "We had a very relaxing stay at this property. Lots of outdoor seating choices to enable viewing the lake, listening to the loons, or watching the antics of the squirrels and chipmunks. Inside, you will find everything you need but forgot to pack." - "We had a great stay! The house was just the right size for our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids). We enjoyed the fact that we were on the lake and had options of kayaking and the paddle boat. We were spoiled with amazing weather and only endured rain one day for about 3 hours. One thing that we were a little saddened about is that it was advertised "no dogs", yet when we got there, we found dog hair on the couch, chairs, the two blankets that were in the living room, and on the rug. It wasn't a big deal, but if we had a vacuum we could have used to vacuum it up, that would have been nice. We loved that it had the option of a screened in porch as the nights brought quite a few mosquitoes that stuck around. We did notice that some of the boards to the stairs down to the dock and a couple of the stairs from the parking area to the house were a little loose and could be fixed. Overall, our stay is what was needed for us and was relaxing!"

Welcome to Nord, a Northwoods Tiny Cabin. The other Tiny Cabin is Wald. Nord comes from the concept of true north. Wald means woods in German. Our hope is that this Tiny Cabin will help you slow down and realign with what is important in life. Nord = North; Wald = Woods. Hence, Northwoods.

The Tiny Cabin has:
- One queen bed and sleeps 2 adults
- Electricity, heat, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a small fridge
- Indoor wood burning stove for use in the colder months

Sit on the front deck overlooking the woods, roast marshmallows over the campfire, and spend as much time as you can in nature getting refreshed. If you are coming to Northwoods to ‘work from home’, we will have Wi-Fi but highly encourage you to take as many breaks as you can.
When you arrive to stay at Nordyou will park at the Bathhouse and walk to the Tiny Cabin. Nordis400 feet from the parking area and Bathhouse. A golf cart is available to rent for $20/stay. The Tiny Cabin does not have running water so the Bathhouse is the place where you can brush, wash, and flush. You will have your own private bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower in the Bathhouse. You can drop off your toiletries when you arrive and leave them there for your stay.

During your stay at Nord,you will have access to ‘The Local’ located in the Bathhouse. The Local is shared with both Tiny Cabins (Nord + Wald) and will have a stove, sink, dishwasher, and dining table to share a meal or play a board game. Grab a recipe or two and buy groceries on your way to Northwoods. We have a recipe box and would love to have you add your favorite recipes (cards provided)!

Northwoods is a place where you can spend time with your people, enjoy activities, and celebrate old and new traditions. Bake pizza on the second night of vacation, trying a new board game together, or taking a hike and learning about different types of trees. The star gazing is also incredible!Itasca State Park and the Mississippi Headwaters are ten minutes away. While we do not have a lake on our property, there is ample opportunity to bring your fishing pole and drop a line close by. You are welcome to bring a kayak or canoe and there is a place in Itasca State Park to rent them as well.

Wald is dog friendly! The pet fee is $50 nonrefundable pet fee per dog (maximum of 2 dogs). Please communicate at booking if you plan to bring a pet. We ask that dogs do not go on the bed or floor cushion out of respect to those with allergies. Your dog must be crated if left alone in the cabin. Bring their dog bed and kennel (must be kenneled if left alone in the cabin). The dog must be on a 6ft leash at all times while on the property. Please also bring a towel to wipe their paws before entering the Tiny Cabin. You will be charged for any pet damages. We want to keep the Tiny Cabin pet friendly so please be mindful to only bring your dog if they are well behaved.

As you enter the A-Frame, you’ll notice natural light throughout the main level and loft. The main level has one bedroom and one full bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower. The kitchen opens to the living space and there is a wood-burning stove for use in the colder months. The basement has one bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom. The upstairs loft has one bedroom with a queen bed and a half bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, coffee/tea bar, and all essentials needed to cook/bake. Grab a recipe or two and buy groceries on your way to Northwoods. We have a recipe box and would love to have you add your favorite recipes (cards provided)!

Some of our best ideas and creativity has flowed from time away and we wanted to provide an opportunity for that for you. This room has art supplies or sit in the arch to read or journal. Recreation:
The sandy swimming beach that features a swim raft, canoe, paddlebike, paddleboards, kayaks, water whoosh, water trampoline, and a sailboat. Free kid & adult bicycles are also available for a ride around the resort or lake, or rent at the Heartland Bicycle Trail and Itasca State Park. Itasca State Park is a quick 10 minute drive. Golf course and tennis courts are located just .5 miles from the resort.

Fishing:
Walleye, crappie, northern pike, large mouth bass, & bluegill are the most popular in Two Inlets Lake. We also have four sizes of fishing boats & a pontoon available for rent. Dock space for your personal boat is free. Bait can be purchased from the lodge.
