Also it was so convenient to our family nearby, which was important to us. - "We enjoyed our time in this home. Everything was as promised and we all had a good time" - "The house it self was newer and very roomy. I would say more attention to detail is needed. There were only a couple forks (not enough for the 7 that could stay at property). No paper towels or even napkins. Very little pots and pans and half of the utensils were broken. No grilling tools for the gas grill that was provided. And only 2 coffee cups. But overall a nice property."

In the kitchen, you will find a built in breakfast table perfect for morning coffee or evening appetizers while the chef of the group finishes dinner. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything our family needs on vacation, and more! You will have plenty of coffee and tea options to choose from. Open the back door and enjoy hearing the kids play on the back deck while you work on dinner, or join them and get food delivered from one of the great options in town! The back deck offers outdoor dining, a bar for onlookers who enjoy watching a game of life-size chess, a hammock for relaxing after a long day, and an easy to use gas grill perfect for grilling those summer dinners. All bedrooms are prepared for you to enjoy with a sound machine, multi-plug-type outlet, and a TV. All TVs are smart TVs and offer streaming service for you to log in. The spacious main bedroom has French Doors that open directly onto the back deck! The full bathroom is stocked with shower toiletries and plenty of towels/washcloths for the entire group. (Please note that the exhaust fan in the primary bath does not work and has been disconnected) The half bath accessed from the bunk room and rec area is a convenient addition to the layout. The bunk room offers a full bed over a full bed, a kids book collection, kids toys, and baby necessities which are located in the closet (pram stroller, pack and play, and baby bath). The main bedroom and secondary bedroom both offer queen size beds.

Betty does share a driveway with the neighboring home and we ask that you do your best to respect their space and keep the driveway clear at all times. You will have plenty of parking in the back of the home, and if needed you may park in the front yard to unload.

The neighbor's dog is located in a fenced area and she keeps to herself. The pup may come out to greet you through the fence, but wont talk much. Please do not feed her or excite her through the fence.

Betty is perfectly located with quick access to the interstate, only 2 minutes down the road. You can be in Charlotte within 14 minutes, Mount Pleasant within 20, Salisbury within 15, Concord within 8 minutes, and of course downtown Kannapolis within 2-3 minutes. While we have had guests to walk to downtown, most people drive and easily find parking at the ballpark or Train Station. Right around the corner from our home, you can find Jackson Park which has a playground, basketball court, and soccer field for anyone to use!

This property is beside a small independent car dealership with a garage/apartment behind it that is all on the same lot. A family member that cares for the house and dealership lives in the apartment. The house sits on Hwy 29 which is a 4 lane road. Some guest has said that at times road noise may be heard.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful family homestead. There are free range chickens and goats on the property. This 2 bedroom unit with 1 full bathroom is unique, quiet and and allows for fun with family or quiet time away from everyone. We are 10 minutes from Sam's Club and Walmart with plenty of restaurants yet you are tucked away in a rural setting. This house sits on 1 acre w/ a covered space out front for grilling. Schedule 30 minutes of private time with the goats before checkin.

The space
There is high speed internet by Spectrum. There is a computer desk in one of the bedrooms. Both bedrooms have the same full walk in closet. There is a long dresser in the main bedroom that allows for additional storage. The house is bright with new floors throughout, new countertops, new appliances, a new toilet and a brand new shower. We supply your coffee and the tea is from Queen City Tea Shop. The non-refundable pet fee of $100 is non-negotiable per pet per stay but always subject to prior approval. We also have dogs at our home so we don't allow dogs but other animals might be considered. Please send us a message first so we can discuss. Also, early check-in is available at an additional charge of $35 and typically it is 3pm. Please message us before booking if you need to check in before 3pm and we will try to accomodate. Since check out is 11am, we need time to thoroughly clean before making the property available.

Two doors down from you we have our country store. It is open every Sunday from 12-4pm with our honey, ethically raised meat products, tea from Queen City Tea Shop, gifts and more.

Please read all of the rules especially about the $600 smoking fee. Share the details with any guests you might have visiting so you don't have a fee! Typically we provide a starter set up with 4 towels, 4 washcloths, 1 roll of toilet tissue and 1 roll of paper towels. if you need more, please be prepared to bring more.

Guest access
You have access to a private yard on the side of the property you're in as well as a bbq area in front of the house and 4 chairs along with a table. There is full exterior surveillance. It is an extremely safe neighborhood. There is a dedicated parking spot for your 2 bedroom unit. We will coordinate a thirty minute visit with the goats if you're interested. The digital lock code for the front door is sent an hour or so before your 3pm check in.

Other things to note
The chickens are free range. Be careful pulling into the property. They love worms and protection from predators so they spend a ton of time in the woods. The total property size is 5 acres. You may or may not see them while visiting but you might hear the rooster. The ducks are on the property along with sheep, goats, a turkey, pet pig and bees. Once your trip is confirmed, let me know which date/time works best for your goat visit. Remember that these animals have teeth so please do not stick your hands in their mouths, attempt to ride them, etc. Please do not roam the property without connecting with us first.
