The Swisher Retreat is an amazing ALL season rental that sits right on beautiful Lake Washington. It is great for family gatherings, reunions, fishing weekends (both summer fishing and ice fishing!) girls weekends, bachelor parties, etc. Private, roomy, gorgeous location.

The main property has 3 bedrooms (master bedroom has TV & DVD player), 2 baths (master bath has jetted tub and shower), kitchen, living room (with TV & DVD player) and a huge, beautiful deck (with a gas grill, charcoal grill and flat grill) facing the lake. The bunkhouse (included in your rental) has two queen size beds, a TV/DVD player, microwave, heat and air conditioning, as well as a screened in porch. A separate game room has a pool table, ping pong table, bean bags/cornhole and board games. In the yard is a large trampoline.

The Swisher Retreat includes unlimited use of a pontoon (seats 13) with one tank of gas included. The property is on Lake Washington, but Lake Stella can be easily accessed via the channel. Both lakes are excellent for summer fishing and ice fishing!

Also included are 2 kayaks, a paddle boat, assorted water toys, lily pad and floating air mattresses. Families with young children love the shallow shoreline (with sandy bottom) for swimming, water toys included. There is a large fire pit overlooking the lake and firewood is included. A huge, screened in deck on the home (with plenty of comfortable seating) overlooks the lake.

For larger groups there is a lovely camper on the property. It sleeps 6 and has a kitchen, as well as heat and air conditioning. It is available in the spring, summer and fall months for an additional fee of $150.00.

This is a spacious property that has room for tents in the yard, yard games, plenty of shady areas, room for kids to play, and plenty of parking.

Wi-Fi, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, central air conditioning, coffee maker, jetted tub and shower in the master bathroom, water softener, towels, and a fireplace give this vacation property many of the comforts of your own home. Apartment is spacious with well stocked kitchenette, dining room, living room with 55" big screen TV, sleeper sofa. full size sofa with love seat. Hide away in our lounge room dubbed Bolduc's Corner (book to find out the history!) for a quiet evening or before walking downtown for a night out. Hang out in the lower living space and play foosball while the game is on.

The lower level has an optional wedding suite, complete with the space you need to prepare for the big day. It is designed with prep in mind with two salon chairs, mirrors, lots of light, and plenty of counter space. **See below for how to gain access to this unique space.

If you’re into history, you’ll appreciate the original mill work, cabinetry, and large basin kitchen sink from 1928. As you move from room to room under the original archways of the home, you’ll notice a few nods to history with pictures, old items found in the home, squeaky wood floors, and a few stubborn doors. Create a dinner in the updated kitchen and enjoy it in the formal dining room. Experience the charm of it all!

The home offers plenty of windows to let the sunshine in. Or close the window dressings for a private experience and to sleep in.

The property is located one block off of Main Street in downtown. It is walkable to bars, restaurants, shops, parks, a tennis court, ice rink (winter only!), and library. The river is nearby with walking or biking trails leading to other parts of the city.

Check-in couldn't have been easier, and Joe was very responsive with all questions. He even left a bottle of wine from the nearby winery, which was a very sweet gesture! The only thing that wasn't ideal was I didn't know he had a boat available for our use until a week before our stay, so we cancelled our rental for another boat because we thought it would be easier to rent Joe's (and it was - I have no pontooning experience, and he called me and walked me through how to use his BEAUTIFUL pontoon!) That said, I could have missed it in the listing, or it might not always be available. Overall, everyone was very impressed with how clean, comfortable, and spacious the cabin was, and we'll definitely keep this cabin in mind for future trips!"

A couple notes for parents with toddlers: bring a baby gate to block the bottom of the stairs. They are very steep and there was not one provided in the cabin. Also, all the doors are pocket doors that do not have handles- made it a bit difficult to shut the doors all the way for nap time and over night. Absolutely not deal breakers just would have been better prepared had we known this. Would definitely book this place again! "

• Try fishing from the dock on the 127 ft of private lake shore, if you are any good you can find Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Sunfish, and Crappies.

• Enjoy an evening around the fire pit overlooking a beautiful view of the lake.

It is nestled down in between two hills and there is zero elevation on the property itself, making it an ideal spot for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and relax in the calm, serene ambiance that this cozy cabin provides.

The main level features two bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen and dining area, living room, and a 3/4 bathroom (no tub) equipped with laundry that is available to use free of charge during your stay. 4-bedroom, 2 bath, Lake House that sleeps up to 12. This property is located down a low traffic road on Lake Washington making it perfect for walking, jogging and biking. We have a private dock for a boat. The dock is also great for fishing and swimming off of. Our property has a built in fire ring on the new patio for relaxing by the fire in the evenings and watching the wildlife over the lake. This cabin is ideal for Winter activities as well such as: ice fishing, snow sledding on the hill and ice skating (must bring your own skates) We are located 25 minutes from Powder Ridge Ski hill that offers skiing, tubing, snowboarding and a restaurant.
We have Snowmobile Rentals, Boat Rentals, and Jet Skis. Kayak and Paddlbe board rentals can be booked also. Linens are washed prior guest checking in.

The apartment is on the second level. Lots of stairs to climb. The apartment is also hosted above a venue that is primarily for a photography studio during the week and on the week nights and weekends used by groups for celebrating bachelorette parties, wedding and baby showers, small get togethers, wedding events, etc.
Also there is no street parking. You can park on the street to load and unload your vehicle but then parking is kiddy corner across the street in the wide open public parking lot.

Just outside the bathroom is an oversized wardrobe with several shelves and 4 pull out drawers for toiletries and personal items. It also provides a clothes hanging section. There is also a spacious 14 x 15 private bedroom with a large window facing north, queen bed, bench for storage and a full closet with deep shelves and a 2 dresser drawer.
The loft has been a past yoga then art studio, is loaded with color and houses many treasures from our family travels. A full set of watercolor paint, brushes, paper and supplies are provided in the little desk for the creative soul. This space makes for a special retreat or getaway with your child or grandchild to make special memories together or makes for a special vibe stay for working remote. It can be rented by the day, week or month. This unique place has a style all its own, is crazy welcoming and is waiting for you.

Around back is a partially fenced in courtyard of flagstone and aggregate patio. There are additional perennial gardens, a swing and gas fire pit to enjoy. There are bird houses and feeders that bring in many types of birds and the squirrels out back always seem to put on a monkey show all on their own. There is an outdoor table and chairs for a snack or meal. This outdoor space makes for a sweet shaded sanctuary hideaway to enjoy on a hot afternoon. There are concrete granite mosaic steps that separate our land from the neighbors and will bring you around to our veggie garden. A pergola smothered in wisteria makes a nice sitting area and an outdoor grill is available for a BBQ.

We are located just 45 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and 25 minutes or less from four superb wineries that offer tours and wine tasting. Also several private owned breweries offer great beers to try.

Local apple orchards offer hay rides and pick-your-own apples. Luce Line Trail is just blocks away for biking or walking adventure.

First off since our Covid 19 pandemic, I want to let guests know that I am committed to our guests safety as well as my own. Therefore I want guest to know that I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights:
