I have a small log cabin located in the rolling hills of northern Missouri. It’s a nice quiet place for a weekend getaway. Most days you can watch wildlife travel across the open area on the front lawn. The cabin has a loft with a queen bed and full bed. Access to the loft is by ladder type stairs. Not far from a couple small towns for groceries. Several lakes within 30 miles if fishing or kayaking is desired. A few walking trails on the property and lots of scenic gravel roads to just drive around and explore. I have added an extra space in the basement it’s basically set up as it’s very own apt with everything the upstairs has kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom so if 2 couples would like to get away together the extra space can also be rented for an extra cost. It’s been brought to my attention that some where this states not suitable for children (not sure why) children are welcome. That being said I do not have a playground area set up yet but there are plenty of outdoor activities for them such as nature walks and exploring.

When I rented the house I didn't realize the hosts lived in the upstairs. Thankfully, they said they couldn't hear the racket the girls made as they wrestled and we did not hear the hosts either. After returning home, I asked the girls what was their favorite part of the weekend. Of course #1 was sewing, our whole purpose for the weekend, but their next choice was playing with the hosts' bulldog! The hosts were wonderful and made us feel at home. Overall, it was a fun and relaxing weekend. I would stay at this rental again. Thanks!"

The house is on a 2 acre lot with our house next door so the yard space is shared (no fence separating).
