When you inquire about this Home or talk about it to friends you may find yourself saying it as the Commodores song of the same name. :) This is a home built in the 1950's with bricks procured from the local brick manufacturing company just a few blocks away. The house is set back on the lot because there was a Blacksmith shop to the front of the lot in the early days and the owners built the family home to the rear of the lot. We completely remodeled the house a few years ago with new windows, floors, heat and air conditioning new kitchen in 2021 among other things. This house features a queen bedroom on the main floor as well as bathroom and family room. Upstairs are two bedrooms with queen beds as well, to be noted the steps to the upstairs bedrooms are 1950's era and pretty steep so if you have mobility issues I would not recommend this house, it's good for the younger ones for sure! The basement features another family room as well as laundry and a 1/2 bath at this time. Extra large driveway and yard are also featured with this home. The house is walking distance to our local museum, post office, bar and grill among other small businesses. There is no garage with this house currently. Ring brand doorbell in use.

Home is located near over 12,000 public hunting acres offering the best whitetail and turkey hunting in the Midwest.

We supply firewood for the outdoor firepit. Toilet paper, paper towels, hand and dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash are provided. We do not allow pets in this home or in the garage. They must be kept outside and renter is responsible for any waste removal and damage the pet does.

A little bit about our area:

The Loess Hills are a unique geographical formation that are composed of fine ground wind blown silt from glacier deposits. As the glaciers melted, the Missouri Valley flooded with enormous amounts of water. Each winter, the waters froze, and large areas of sediments were left exposed to the wind and blew to the East and deposited in the dune like hills, you will see.
Preparation Canyon offers a lake for kayaking and public fishing. The Overlook on the north edge provides an amazing view as well as hike. This is also a great picnic spot.
The Loess Hills Scenic Byways are 200 miles of paved highway where you can see wildlife, prairie plants and hills.
Lewis and Clark State Park is located at Blue Lake, west on Onawa. A great place for boating or learning a little bit of history.
