It's an established Garner neighborhood with shopping & restaurants a short jaunt up the hill. This is a family friendly neighborhood no loud parties allowed but feel free to enjoy the backyard just turn music down after 11pm. It's about 8 to 10 min drive to downtown Raleigh & Wake Med. PNC arena is a 15 to 20 min drive.

Car is recommended as we are about a 10 min walk to public transportation. We are a 10 min drive to downtown Raleigh a 5 min drive to the new Amazon distribution center a 20 min drive to the PNC arena & about 30 min from the Raleigh-Durham airport. Ride shares are available in the area

There is a small pet fee. We require a picture, breed & size details, etc to evaluate for approval. If you show up with a pet, without prior approval, you will be considered in violation and no exceptions are made to this policy. Certified Service Animals are excluded from the pet fee/policy, however Emotional Support Animals need to be approved by the owner and the pet fee is applicable. For the courtesy of future guests, we DO NOT allow pets on the couch, beds or linens - there will be an extra cleaning charge of $250 (beyond the small approved pet fee) if it is determined they were on the couch, bed, linens or have an accident in the home. We also require the guests to clean up any pet yard waste before check-out by utilizing the supplied pet waste bags and/or 'pooper-scooper.' If our cleaners have to clean the yard after your stay, they do charge an additional $50 that we pass on to the guest. Any damage to the home is evaluated on a case by case basis for extra charges.

Please bring any pet beds, food/water bowls and their special toys, so they are comfortable during their stay! We do have a dog crate at the home that you're more than welcome to use (36" L x 22" W x 23" H).

- "This was a great house to stay in. It was very clean, well laid out, and had everything we needed. It was also conveniently located, being about 15-20 minutes from everything we planned on doing (the NC Natural Science Museum, Art Museum, and Performing Arts Center). The only issue we had is that it's very close to a busy road, so you can hear cars going by all night, but if you're used to that it won't matter. And they provided fans that made a lot of white noise which helped. Overall, we would definitely stay here again the next time we're planning a trip to Raleigh."

The two cozy bedrooms have comfy beds outfitted with fresh linens and 12-inch Memory Foam hybrid plush quilted foam cover mattresses. The rooms also have closets with pocket doors, large windows that provide tons of natural light, and heavy curtains to block out the brightness when you want to sleep in. All linens (including top quilts and duvet covers) are washed thoroughly after each visit. Pillows and mattresses are encased with waterproof and bed bug-proof protectors.

The first bedroom features a king-sized bed, and the second bedroom has two queens. If you have extra guests, the air mattress can be placed in the living room are comfortable sleeping options (sleeps two total) as well as the futon in the four seasons room.

The full bathroom features the original, restored cast iron tub with a shower that has been upgraded to a full shower tower system featuring a rainfall and waterfall shower head along with body-level jets that give you a spa-like experience.

Take your time - the hot water will not run out because of our tankless, on-demand hot water system. The large, frosted window in the shower gives you both natural light and privacy. Open the mini vent in the spring and summer and hear the birds chirping happily to get an almost outdoor shower experience while maintaining your privacy.

This area is rapidly changing from older homes (and older residents) to new homes and younger families. You will see lots of homes under construction, with some really creative architecture.

Since it is so close to downtown Raleigh, you can get quick and easy access to some of the best places to visit in town. It is also very close to the Raleigh beltline and I-40, so it is actually pretty quick to get to most everywhere in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary)

Getting around by car is extremely easy. Some of our guests take an Uber/Lyft from the airport. There are also one-man E-scooters that may be available to rent (Search for `Lime` `Spin` or `Bolt` electric scooters online for more info) if you want to try something different.

This “American small house” architecture (also called “Minimal Traditional”) was designed for GIs returning from WW2 in the late 1940s. It was the original `Tiny home,` typically around 750 sqft. It is also typically among the first to be demolished as areas undergo rehabilitation in favor of much larger custom homes to make maximum use of the comparatively large lots.

This style of architecture makes maximum use of every single square foot and uses lots of natural light so that you rarely need to even turn on the lights during the day. It was a precursor to the larger “Ranch” style homes. These homes, especially those that have not undergone extensive modifications, are becoming a bit of a `dying breed` in rapidly growing cities like Raleigh.
