Our Matanzas Beach House is an amazing mix of the old charm and the new modern updates. It is positioned between the beautiful Matanzas Inlet Beach and the Intracoastal Waterway.

It is listed in the historical magazine of St Augustine. It is a sprawling property with so much natural beauty all around. There are paths, fountains, a beach tower for viewing and a large swing for relaxing after a day at the beach or fishing in the intracoastal. You can literally walk across A 1 A south and you are on the spectacular white sandy beach. There are two very large barn doors for access that keeps the property private and secure. The property is two lots with a separate listing on the second lot a 2019 airstream VRBO # ...you can book both for an additional 155 per nite.

The house features two platform queen bedrooms and a loft queen . There is also a single bed swing in the large living room for additional sleeping or relaxing. There is one large double sink bath with tub shower and also a private hot cold shower outside for additional private showering.

We keep the guest total at six but there is parking for four vehicles/ boat and or water toys.

The linens are top of the line along with everything you will need in the kitchen and outdoors so you will be exceedingly comfortable and happy.

I personally go to this beach house to relax and hang with best friends. There is great private gathering area behind the cottage with a proper cover so you can sit and relax on comfy furniture after a day of fun. There is also a hot tub for 18 and older guests on the property.

- "Place was about as cute as the pics let on. Clean. Very happy with the stay. One thing to look out for is if it rains a lot (as it usually does Florida afternoons) there is standing water where you pull your vehicle into the driveway and you will have to walk through it open and close the gate. Bring some rubber sandals. Backing out onto A1A would seem to be a pain but with a touch of patience never had an issue even when traffic was heavy. There is a dehumidifier in the kitchen. Empty it when it shuts off and helps keep the place nicer. I would stay here again."

The modern kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you could need to cook up breakfast lunch and dinner and even has its own view of the ocean while you cook and wash up. There is a full-size fridge/freezer, a freestanding oven and cooktop, a microwave and a coffee maker to get your day started right.
Eat together at the dining table set for seven or sit up at the breakfast bar with 3 stools while you keep the chef company as they whip up a batch of pancakes.
There are two bedrooms within the home that both offer comfortable beds topped with soft, quality linen where you can fall asleep to the sounds of waves spilling over onto the sand.
The master bedroom features a large, luxurious king bed, while the second bedroom is filled with a three single beds including a bunk making it perfect for families wanting to stay together. Both bedrooms share the central bath that comes stocked with quality amenities and soft fluffy towels for each guest.

NEIGHBORHOOD
The house is located along a rare stretch of beach on one of the last untouched inlets on the east coast just south of Crescent Beach and is the home of Fort Matanzas, the Matanzas National Seashore - a beautiful National Park.
It sits directly on Atlantic Ocean, but you can also see the Matanzas River, and the Intracoastal waterway. Since the house sits on this largely untouched area, the wildlife is amazing. Depending on the time of year Sea Turtles, Dolphins, and Manatees can be seen within the 25 miles of undeveloped state owned natural habitat.
The pristine water is one of the most unpolluted water areas in the state of Florida which brings fisherman and birders from all over to the beautiful sanctuary areas making it a truly unique place to stay.

If you like to cycle you are only a few miles from some of the best mountain biking trails and miles and miles of mostly shaded paved trails to explore.
Just under 14 miles away is the charming city of St. Augustine that offers unique scenery and history that sets the city apart from any other in the country.
