Welcome to our charming lake-house in the heart of Amston, CT! This cozy retreat is perfect for a peaceful getaway, with friends or family. This house is one of the best I have to offer, as it's truly a relaxing getaway! One thing I did want to mention, is that unfortunately, many cell phone carriers offer a weak signal in this area if you're not connected to Wi-Fi. The house does have Wi-Fi, but you should expect your cell phone to have a weak signal outside of the houses Wi-Fi network. I actually feel it helps you truly unplug and spend time with friends and family, but I do like to mention as a caution.

The kitchen had all the small appliances you could need, and top notch major appliances. The back deck is so inviting with views of the tall trees- fall colors were beautiful! The area was mostly quiet- with a little bit of typical neighborhood noise- dogs, lawn mowers, but that was OK bc it felt like you lived there. Spend some time at the newly renovated Bungalow, offering 2 queen bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa, state of the art kitchen and large open living area overlooking the lake. The Bungalow has a chef's dream of a kitchen, with it's soapstone countertop, generous spice selection, coffee bar, small appliance cabinet and griddle/gas range.

The large open space lends itself to enjoying friends and family, all overlooking the tranquil lake. Enjoy a drink on the deck, go for a hike/walk, or have a wonderful day of kayaking and/or paddleboarding. We offer two tandem kayaks, two single kayaks, and a tandem stand or sit paddleboard for your enjoyment. You can paddle for miles in the lake or up the Willimantic River. Keep an eye out for turtles! Bring a fishing pole and bait and reel in a large or small mouthed bass! (Fishing license required )

If fishing and kayaking are not your thing, we have tons of outdoor games. Cornhole, horseshoes, badminton, and volleyball, just to name a few! In addition, there are miles of walking trails starting right down the road.

Coventry is known for its antique shops and restaurants. Once you've shopped 'til you've dropped, head back to The Bungalow to enjoy the firepit. Share a few stories and a few drinks. Once you are ready for bed, you will be sleeping on hotel quality beds and linens.

Welcome to Panorama! We named our lakefront house panorama because back in the 1930s when the lots were first created they named ours “Panorama” for the panoramic views it has of Coventry Lake! Not to mention the house is located directly in front of the sandbar, so you are always right in the middle of all the action!

When you walk in the kitchen will greet you with vaulted ceilings and wood beams. The kitchen is equipped with new stainless steel appliances, quartz counter tops, tile backsplash, and plenty of dishes, silverware and cookware.

The kitchen then opens up to the main living space with two large sliding glass doors looking out to the lake. The couch pulls out to a queen size bed and both loveseats pull out to a twin size bed. We have sheets for these extra beds but please bring blankets and pillows if you plan to use them! There is also an electric fireplace in the living room for those cozy winter days!

A dinning area is nestled in the corner with a circle table large enough to fit 6.

The downstairs bedroom has a twin trundle bed as well as a tv. The upstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed and lake views.

The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with a large sliding glass door that leads you out to the upper deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a cocktail with a panoramic birds eye view of Coventry Lake! Please note there is a window with shutters in the master bedroom that can be unlatched and opened to the vaulted ceiling in the kitchen. Please do not leave unattended young children in this room.

The double sliding glass doors in the living room lead you out to the lower deck, which also provides expansive views of the lake. We have a farmhouse table as well as a high top table and chairs on the lower deck so you will never be without a seat! New outdoor TV on lower deck. The deck leads you to the level grass area where you can play yard games or lay out on one of our loungers.

There are stairs at the sea wall that lead down to our 45 foot long private sandy beach! We have a deck box with sand toys, some beach chairs, floats etc. there is also another table with chairs on our beach as well as a fire pit.

For water toys we have a canoe, paddle board and 2 hydro-bikes for guest use as well as a floating raft to jump off of!

Private parking lot that fits 4 cars comfortably.

- "Our stay was ok. The cottage is a little outdated but the location is great. You can walk a few steps and you can enjoy the lake view. We didn't do any kayaking. Coventry town is pretty small and not much to do for middle-aged people. We tried to find the waterfalls, but a few of them were dams, not natural ones. The wineries are another option, but the one near town was just a plain one on a flat land. Be aware of the pet fee of $100 that they charge you, even though we advised them that our dog was a service animal."

Lake front, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath. This house is recently remodeled. It has a new kitchen with all new appliances. Kitchen is fully stocked to host large groups. There is also a new outdoor patio and kitchen. with new outdoor kitchen and patio. All bathrooms and bedrooms are remodeled. Beds, pillows, sheets, etc. are all new. First floor has the kitchen, full bath, living room and a bedroom with a queen bed. Second floor has one very large bedroom with 4 day-beds which sleeps 8 and another bedroom with a queen bed plus a full size bathroom and laundry. Any questions, use "ask owner a question" button.

Beautiful views, amazing fishing, hiking👫, kayaking, biking🚴🏼‍♀️and sailing, ice fishing, star gazing ☄️🌠and skating all right at your doorstep. Quiet neighborhood great for romantic strolls and hikes. Near Gay City park. Lake community is quiet, no motors allowed on the water.

Enjoy our comfortable and quiet 3 bedroom home in tranquil Ashford. The home is located in a quiet community with a park located close by. The kitchen is fully equipped so that you can prepare meals for the family, if desired. The yard is fenced and there is a deck overlooking the back.

The cozy living room has a sleeper sofa and wall mounted flat screen TV so that you can relax and enjoy a movie.

The kitchen has a table with seating for 6 and a fold down desk if you need to work a little.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed and the other 2 bedrooms have comfortable full sized beds. There is also a full size sleeper sofa in the living room.

If you plan on grocery shopping bring your own bags as Connecticut charges for bag use at most places. Walmarts do not have any bags for use. Less then a quarter mile from house is a Dollar General, Dunkin Donuts and a Shell gas station. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a quiet place to stay. I would stay there again. And host answered my questions right away. My 18 year old grandson and I enjoyed the home and traveling in the area to see family."

Hot and humid week and AC cooled the house. House was perfect size for our family. We enjoyed grilling. Enjoyed beautiful evenings gathered around the fire pit and star gazing. The living area is equipped with a large smart tv for your viewing pleasure. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a delicious meal and we’ve even included the basic spices you need! Complimentary coffee and sweetener is also provided.
There is a large master bedroom with a queen bed and TV. The second bedroom has a daybed with pull out trundle. Air conditioning in both bedrooms and a pull out sofa in the living room.
The full size bathroom includes travel size amenities for your convenience.
Guest access:
You can access the backyard with fire pit and plenty of seating. Also, a picnic table for outside dining and charcoal grill. Plus two kayaks and life preservers for your convenience. There is a nearby Right of Way for lake access close by, just a two minute walk. Enjoy the gorgeous sunsets over the lake from the front deck. Then relax in the cozy living space with a good book or spend some quality time with family playing one of the many board games or puzzles.

The House in the Woods is surrounded by giant oaks and conifers on an acre of hillside lawn. It's in a rather small neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac of friendly neighbors...and 5 minutes from a Big Y Grocery Store.

The drive to UConn is 15 minutes, and to ECSU is 5 minutes.

There are Primary Suites on the Main Floor and upstairs - both fully outfitted with King Beds, shower and tub, sink and toilet, and walk-in closets. The upstairs suite tub is actually a jacuzzi.

Upstairs, there is also a second bedroom with a Queen bed, and across the hall, there's an office that doubles as a bedroom with a single bed. They share a full bathroom.

Please note that there is no gate on the rather-wide stairs between and first and second floor, so don't bring youngsters who might fall.

The basement does have a sofa that can become a King bed or two single beds. That said, the half bath that serves the basement is up a flight of stairs, so we have not counted those beds in the 7 persons listed on the site. (We think of the Basement as the place where all the guys can gather to watch the Big Game! Or the kids can watch their favorite horrors.)

If you love peace and quiet, this is the neighborhood for you. We're on a cul-de-sac off of a cul-de-sac, so there are usually more people out strolling than there are cars passing. Use the front porch swings and rockers to relax with a drink at the end of the day...or sit there all morning with your coffee.

Another great place for relaxing - maybe with a good book?- is the back porch. It has mid-day sun, which you might enjoy. There's seating for five there all the time, and there are reclining chairs on the tucked-in small porch under the deck off the Suite. It's right in the middle of the back of the house...across from the big cherry tree.

- "We were a group of six family members traveling to Mansfield Center, Connecticut to attend the celebration of life for a dear family friend. I found this house on Vrbo and it looked perfect for our needs.The owners were fabulous to communicate with and were most gracious and welcoming.Potential guests, however, should be advised that this is the owners' actual home. It threw us off a bit as we entered the home and it became obvious that this was an actual home that the owners live in. When I questioned her about this, she explained that they go to a lake cottage in NH when they rent out their home. I suggested that they may want to include this information in their home description on VRBO. The only other thing we noticed that was "different" was that there was no televsion in the common area of the house which includes the living room, dining area, and kitchen. There are, however, televisions in all of the bedrooms. With us being a sports-oriented group, there were times we would have liked to all watch a baseball game together during our leisurely time.Those are my only two suggestions to the owners of this beautiful home. Truly, they are wonderful people. The home is large, welcoming, and immaculate, and the grounds are beautiful. The front porch was my go-to place for morning coffee! I would rent this home again in a heartbeat!"

This perfect peaceful and private home on 5 acres is great for unwinding and relaxing weather it is enjoying the day by the incredible pool/hot tub or star gazing at night. far from the noise and pollution of city life. You can spend a weekend or a week away from work life because you deserve it. Close to Foxwoods casino and Mohegan sun casino, super Walmart and other stores. please let us know before booking more than 4 people weather its just for the day or night. no loud music, no parties.

Access to the whole house and all outside areas. We offer two bedrooms with two Queensize beds and closets we also have two full size cots with 5” mattresses available one in the living room and one in the finished basement area. Garage is unavailable and will be locked along with 2 of our personal/storage rooms as this is our personal vacation home Also. No one will be on the property during your stay. 2 exterior cameras are also located on the property 1 exterior camera located outside above the front door where the lockbox is, the 2nd exterior camera is located outside facing the driveway.

Our barn is in a large field on lot next to our home. Our rental area is upstairs which offers beautiful views of our field and the visiting deer. The eclectic decor is accumulated from years of activism. Our guest room and bathroom are newly renovated. It is a quiet and peaceful area near two state parks. We operate a mail order business in the downstairs area but will not be working while guests are staying with us.

The space

Our place is run on solar and we are working our way to being a net zero home and barn. We have two charging stations if you need them. This is a great rental to share if you are going to a wedding or other event nearby. We are close to UCONN, small New England villages, state parks, wineries, antique shopping, and about an hour from Providence and Hartford and an hour and a half from Boston.

The backyard is yours to enjoy, but please do not open or exit through the rear fence gate, that area is not part of the property.

Guests can park directly in the driveway (please stay off the lawn) or curbside on the street, following any posted parking signs.

Other things to note
This is a freshly updated home, but like any New England house, you may hear the occasional character creak or charm noise.

No shoes inside, please! To help keep the home clean and in great condition for all guests, we kindly ask that you remove your shoes upon entering. The stairs have white kick panels that scuff easily from shoes and boots. We appreciate your help in keeping the space looking its best!

Please use the side entrance door via the driveway for check-in, it's the easiest for unloading your belongings.

A Schlage smart lock is provided for easy self check-in. Your code will be available in the Airbnb app prior to your stay.

Several rooms in the home, including the kitchen, living room, and upstairs hallway, feature recessed LED lights with a night light mode.
To activate: flip the wall switch ON/OFF/ON within 1-5 seconds. The night light emits a soft 2000K amber glow for added ambiance or no-glare lighting when waking up at night.
