- "The decor is absolutely beautiful and so welcoming! My son and daughter fished all day and night. We all enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. The beds were extremely comfortable! Lots of space for us! Our barbecue was amazing on their traeger grill- so easy to use! Highlights are: plenty of space to gather or spread out as needed, high-end soaps and Turkish towels, full and double rainbows, heron, hummingbirds, chipmunks, a quiet lake for swimming, kayaking (provided) and paddle boarding (we brought our own), the best mattresses we’ve ever slept on, and easy fishing from the dock. We found ourselves wishing for: tissues in the bathrooms, a toaster, insulated cups and better restaurants nearby, none of those things negatively impacted our stay but next time we will be prepared. Our pup loved the shade of the yard, the view from the deck and lower patio, the provided dog gate and clear lake water.(We discovered that the doggos a few houses down are free roaming, sometimes ending up in our yard. Our pup was indifferent but we did try to return the dogs to a somewhat unpleasant owner.) The coffee shop in Monson is worth a stop and the pizza from Lake George Tavern was very good. Two members of our family are in their 80s and loved the main level accessibility including the lake view from both inside and outside on the deck, the fast WiFi connectivity, and the quiet. They wished for easier entrance into the home, and had difficulty with access to the lower level due to lack of railings. This did not impact their stay to any significant degree since other family members could assist. We made wonderful memories, thanks to Natasha!"

Sleeping Configuration:
There are beds to sleep a maximum of 16, but we only allow 14 unless an exception is made: a King in the Master Bedroom, three Queen bedrooms plus an additional pull out queen sleeper in one of those bedrooms, a pull out queen sleeper in the family room, a day bed and trundle (so two twins) in the library, a queen sofa sleeper in the kids room, and a queen murphy bed in the Little Italy Café area. (There is also a blow up queen bed stored in the utility room). All beds will be made up upon arrival. Linens and towels are provided. All bedrooms are air conditioned.

Provided Equipment:
We supply tennis rackets and balls, golf clubs and balls, 1 adult fishing pole and two children's fishing poles, ping pong balls/rackets, various games (croquet, bocce, corn hole, kan jam, spike ball, ladder ball) and lots of sport balls (football, soccerball, basketball, frisbees). We also have some child/infant equipment on premises: a changing table, two high chairs, a diaper pail, a pack and play, a bouncer, and some children's games.

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. This retro cabin feels like the times of yesterday. Rustic interior brings to mind summers of our childhood. Open beams, simple living, a place to get away and daydream, visit with friends and family or restore your life force. Enjoy the spacious screen porch that overlooks the Camp. Listen to the owl that hoots at night. Hike on the trails nearby or float on the pond.

- "Perfect " - "The cabin was adorable. Was originally going to be 4 of us sharing it but ended up only being two of us. It was just the right size for 4 people though as I worried based on photos. Very quiet and the owner was friendly and helpful. " - "Once we finally found the cabin, we loved it. It's not marked very well as there are other cabins that are similar. We had to get the pic out to look at the details of the cabin (windows, doors, etc). Once we saw which one it was, trying to get to it was a bit tricky but we made it. The cabin is super cute inside! There is a separate shower that is in one of the bedrooms (literally next to the bed ;) ) Fishing wasn't great as there was too much milfoy or whatever it was up near the beach area. Took the canoe out and the same. Maybe way out in the middle, it would have been fine, but it was getting late and we gave up. The cabin is very open (not ceilings - just rafters) so you hear EVERYTHING! We set out on the covered porch for breakfast and it was lovely! You are fairly close to the road so you do hear road noises but it wasn't bad. The beds were comfy! Would definitely come back here again!!"

Beautiful lake front house. Right on the water! Large deck with amazing view of the lake. Fishing, swimming, boating, and just relaxing on the waterfront. Very peaceful with no gas motors allowed on the lake. Bring the kids! Great kitchen with plenty of table seating for cooking and entertaining! Sleeps 10. 15 minutes from Sturbridge Village Ma, grocery stores, and restaurants. This is a quiet neighborhood so no parties please.

Enjoy our comfortable and quiet 3 bedroom home in tranquil Ashford. The home is located in a quiet community with a park located close by. The kitchen is fully equipped so that you can prepare meals for the family, if desired. The yard is fenced and there is a deck overlooking the back.

The cozy living room has a sleeper sofa and wall mounted flat screen TV so that you can relax and enjoy a movie.

The kitchen has a table with seating for 6 and a fold down desk if you need to work a little.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed and the other 2 bedrooms have comfortable full sized beds. There is also a full size sleeper sofa in the living room.

Enjoy spreading out in our home, play some games or take a peaceful stroll around the neighborhood

- "Overall house was pleasant. Beds were comfy, kitchen was very nice. Could use an added mirror in one of the bedrooms as it's difficult for multiple people to get ready with only 1 bathroom." - "Lovely three bedroom one bath home in a very quiet peaceful neighborhood. Nice wooden deck next to the woods. Online pictures of the house do not do it justice. The rooms are spacious and color scheme is calming. Nice kitchen work area and all you need to make meals And separate trash bags for trash and recycling . Bathroom has Jack and Jill sinks, a deep bathtub and shower. If you plan on grocery shopping bring your own bags as Connecticut charges for bag use at most places. Walmarts do not have any bags for use. Less then a quarter mile from house is a Dollar General, Dunkin Donuts and a Shell gas station. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a quiet place to stay. I would stay there again. And host answered my questions right away. My 18 year old grandson and I enjoyed the home and traveling in the area to see family."

I was originally concerned that the room might feel dark having only 1 small window, however the dawning light poured in and provided plenty of morning sun. The family who owned the farm was really friendly. We will plan to come again !"

Experience peaceful and beautiful Woodstock at its best on this gorgeous and quiet lake! No motor boats or water skis buzzing incessantly. Just the pristine lake out the back door and hiking trails out the front door almost directly across the street! Enjoy the kayak, paddle boat, and canoe in the warmer months and watching the beautiful ever-changing landscape that is the water/ice in the winter. Great spot for fishing off the cement pier, swimming, hiking and lazing about on the large deck overlooking the water. Jump off the floating dock in warmer weather. Have a fire in our fire pit! Enjoy the moon or stars and westerly sunset view. The main suite looks out over the lake. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a large window view of the water. The guest bedroom has a day bed that pulls out to two twin beds directly side by side. There is a full kitchen complete with a dishwasher, large sink, stove, oven, toaster oven, regular drip coffee machine, microwave and full fridge. A counter/table with very comfy chairs is a great place for eating and hanging out. A dedicated work space in the main room has a large wood table and comfortable chair. WI-Fi and Smart TV are provided. Full bath with tub and shower.

The view was magnificent from the master bedroom and living room and her couch was so comfy that I actually slept on it one night. Walking the property and taking a dip in the water recharged my batteries for my upcoming final exams at University. It was quiet enough during my stay to admire the singing of various birds. I played music and did yoga from her TV while gazing at the water. The peace and serenity derived from doing so was cathartic. Without getting too personal in the details, I was able to meditate and spiritually heal from troubles in my past by simply admiring the view and her gorgeous landscape painting in the living room. I’m so blessed to have been Nikki’s guest and the value that I received from my trip at her property is immeasurable."

This unique 3 story barn sits about 1.5 acres behind your hosts home and adjacent to another 14 acres of field, forest, small pond and trails. Guests have exclusive access to the main floor which is all open floor plan except the bathroom. With an air conditioner for hot days and heat for cool nights. The queen size Murphy bed is brand new and there are cots and an air mattress available if requested. We do provide linens and towels but you’ll be making up your own bed :)

It is quirky and not for perfectionists! Visit nearby Old Sturbridge and its many great shops and restaurants, and nearby State Parks. Plenty of room, fully equipped kitchen, comfy living rm & big dining room. 3 comfortable bedrooms upstairs. Very easy off/on the highway to be on your way quickly!

The space
We've hosted rehearsal dinners here, stranded late night travelers, friends of local families for graduations, etc, people whose house was being finished and needed a short stay. Stay for a night or a month. 30 min to Hartford, 1.5 hrs to Boston, 2.5 hrs to NYC.

The space
This is a whole home, available to enjoy. It is built on a hill, though, so it does require steps down to the house and more steps down to the decks and lake. This space is no smoking and no pets. Due to the steepness of the inside stairs and the number of stairs to/from the house and lake, I don’t recommend this space for toddlers, young children or elderly.

Guest access
Guests access this home by a door code on the front door. Once inside, the decks can also be accessed through the downstairs slider. Guests can access all of the finished parts of the house plus use the washer dryer in the unfinished part of the basement.

Other things to note
When arriving, go almost to the end of the road on Lake Shore Blvd and look for a square wooden arch on the right (5th house from the end of the street). There are 3 parking spots at the top of the hill to the left of the arch, near the garbage cans. Park there and walk down the steps to the home. It will feel like you are walking down into a tree house! Motion sensor lights will illuminate your path if you arrive after dark.

This is a beautiful and relatively new country house getaway surrounded by 4 acres of woods, a sunset view of the Stafford Valley, with plenty of light living space and comfortable amenities. Escape from city life in middle of nature, 1:20 from Boston and 2:20 from NYC.

The space
Our house manager Claire will greet you and orient you to the home. You are on your own for cooking. There is a gas grill for your use as well, a two car garage for your car(s), and the house is all yours to enjoy. For remote work, there is a separate office space over the garage so you can keep working without interuption, if that's what you need to do. We have three bikes to use, as the area is full of hills, trails and public parks for biking, hiking, and running. And a beach with life guards on duty during the summer at Staffordville Lake, just down the road. Though remote, you have lots of stores and package stores (liquor) near by for all your supply needs.

Quiet hours align with the yoga studio's regular class schedule, which typically includes one hour in the morning every day of the week and one hour in the evening on Wednesdays. The class schedule is posted on the refrigerator and door to the apartment. Special events outside the regular schedule are not included in these quiet hours.

You'll find the studio schedule on the refrigerator. If you're interested, walk-in classes are available for $12 per class, payable directly to the instructor. If you prefer not to join a class, we kindly ask for quiet during these times—this means no loud TV, music, talking, or heavy use of the shared staircase.

Outside of these quiet times, you're free to enjoy the space however you like! With no neighbors in the building, you'll have the entire place to yourself.

During the winter months we used two wood burning stoves that provide a warm, welcoming environment. While preserving the details from the 1700's we also provide modern amenities like free cable and WiFi. Our family loves to host guests and have had guests from as far as New Zealand, Dubai, Paris and Norway to name a few.

We also have hosted many local folks who love to get away from the quad cities that surround us. Hartford, CT , Boston, MA, Springfield, MA and NYC, NY are within 40 minutes to 3 hours from our home.

We are a family run New England get away rich in history and landscape in every season. Since we raise our three children in our historic home we also accept guest with children of all ages which is very rare in the B&B world. We hope you or perhaps you and your family will visit and become as enchanted by our quaint little town as we have grown!

During your stay
We interact as much or as little as our guests want. On weekends my children are often the servers unless a guest would rather not interact with them. I discuss this upon making reservations and have found most travelers love interacting with our family run business. On occasion the kids and I are with my brother in Boston or New Hampshire and my husband will be your host. He is a Uconn professor and was "my waiter" when we met so I know the service is top notch whether I am here or not! If you are coming with children I often open our playroom to them based on their age. We accept and welcome all children!

The Brimfield Show is only 15 minutes drive and many of our guests find staying here helps them to decompress from the frenetic pace at the market. We have stored and shipped things in the past for reasonable fees based on the size and duration of storage.
